  1. Not sure what to do with paper with numbers on it

    ReplyDelete
  2. @red snapper There's a grid of buttons. As you press them different numbers of buttons light up. Press them in the order on the paper.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Ah, figured out with buttons corresponded with the numbers on paper, now in room below with pliers

    ReplyDelete
  4. Set red levers upstairs to give a four-letter clue downstairs to open a cupboard.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Have key, red ball thingy, pliers that can't be taken downstairs and stuck. Am I alone?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Thanks Mike, now I have red and green thingy's

    ReplyDelete
  7. I went down to a basement, and opened a chest.
What do the desital numbers(?) mean?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Downstairs: 3 buttons beneath yellow button & screen. Press them so that all three are down - remember the sequence. Use same sequence on 3 buttons on a different wall downstairs for another clue.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Could you help with the four numbers in the trunk?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Thanks again for the three buttons clue. Not sure what to do with the clue it gave me

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ah it works for the nine button grid puzzle

    ReplyDelete
  12. Now have blue red and green thingy's

    ReplyDelete
  13. Haven't solved the numbers in the trunk. The grid on the wall gives the colours for the 3x3 grid. The centre button should be brown. Work from the grid on the wall and copy the colours. Think about it - you'll get it.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Still stuck on four numbers in trunk

    ReplyDelete
  15. Go upstairs and look through the binocular thing now. There's a different clue, but I don't know what it means

    ReplyDelete
  16. The hole or dot in the middle of the third number, 4, seems to be significant, but I don't know why

    ReplyDelete
  17. The three buttons don't stay down. I can get them to stay down one at a time, but not get all three to stay down at the same time.

    ReplyDelete
  18. To me the new clue on the binoculars DOES make sense. Did you notice that the digital '7' looks a bit strange when you've opened the chest?

There is one bit too much on the center right.
HOWEVER this "strange 7 digit" can be built from the bits that the clue shows.
So it must have something to do with that.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Don't understand 3x3 grid

    ReplyDelete
  20. @vkacademy you have to trial-and-error the whole combination first before it works. Restart your approach as soon as all buttons pop up ( = wrong step)

    ReplyDelete
  21. still having trouble with the 3x3 grid

    ReplyDelete
  22. I can't find the place to use the gold key or red ball....

    ReplyDelete
  23. arbeitslooser, yes of course, but how do you get four numbers from the binocular clue/trunk clue?

    ReplyDelete
  24. nevermind.....the clue is showing the corners

    ReplyDelete
  25. Got the trunk numbers: move each segment along, following the arrow on the clue. If the segment isn't lit, move a space.

    SP0OI3L5E7R

    ReplyDelete
  26. 3x3 grid: yes it's tricky. Think of the Spanish flag: the center part height is roughly double the height of the upper and lower parts.

So split the clue horizontally in threes, not in fours.

  29. ...and out. Once the silver key opens the lower door it's pretty easy.

    ReplyDelete
  30. thanks Aera. I'm stuck on the grid too, even having read everyone's clues. I just can't see what I'm supposed to be seeing.

    ReplyDelete
  31. arbeitslooser: I REALLY don't understand that at all

    ReplyDelete
  32. Okay, Got it. If that was a telephone dial, you would darken 1 4 5 8 9

    ReplyDelete
  33. Easy? Where's the clue for the four digit box? Or the four digit clue for the last cupboard?

    ReplyDelete
  34. That trunk clue makes absolutely no sense. Again, I'm guessing you have to be a very good visualizer. I give up. I hate having to be walked through every step of the way. Feeling very dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  35. just got out - will stick around for questions (if i remember)

    ReplyDelete
  36. OK ... someone obviously solved the letter code safe already?

Told something of 4 levers giving a letter code. I got the levers puzzle, and opened the compartment door, but there was all BUT a hint for the letter code downstairs.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Oh...now I see the new clue looking through the viewer!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Arbeitslooser move all the levers to the second position to move the chains downstairs and it will show you the word

    ReplyDelete
  39. arbeitslooser.....pulling the levers changes the positions of the letters even after the compartment door opens

    ReplyDelete
  40. Where are the clues for the box and the last cupboard?

    ReplyDelete
  41. I can't get the gold key (not the wind-up key) to work anywhere.
And where is the clue for the box from the giant safe?

    ReplyDelete
  42. red snapper - have you used the bellow yet?

    ReplyDelete
  43. No, what is a bellow and where is it?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Struggling with the trunk 4 digit.....I don't understand Mike W's comment about if the segment isn't lit...I don't want to use the spoiler.... What are we moving along?

    ReplyDelete
  45. bellow is a thing that blows on a fireplace - goes on the fish tank upstairs

    ReplyDelete
  46. Oh I get it, the pliers can now be moved downstairs and unlocked

    ReplyDelete
  47. thanks Red Snapper!!
Wish I knew how you guys got the IDEA that you had to put all levers to same position!

    ReplyDelete
  48. nokra - move the small segments in the pattern one position forward according to the loop clue through the binoculars

    ReplyDelete
  49. Not actually...just visually? Dr Lee? I am not "seeing" it... LOL Guess I'll have to use the spoiler! TY

    ReplyDelete
  50. box was EASY heh heh (even for me)

    HINT

    Downstairs, locker on bottom left.
What if the upper half is the lower half, and the lower half is the upper half?
Does the clue make sense then? :)

    ReplyDelete
  51. i drew it out, but physically drag them to the next place

    ReplyDelete
  52. Sigh, I was screwing around with the pliers and now they are locked up again upstairs. I don't know what to do now

    ReplyDelete
  53. arbeitslooser, thank you. I forgot about that locker.
Now I know where the gold key is used.
    OUT!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Where is the clue for the box?
Where is the clue for the bottom left cupboard?
Does anyone know how I can get the pliers back?
    Please?

    ReplyDelete
  55. EXCELLENT game!!!

(as usual with this author, who would never care about quantity but strictly only quality)

Bottom left cupboard: can be opened by applying the blow-thing to the fish tank.

Just the colored elements clue was VERY confusing! I counted the "gap" twice and just when I tried to narrow down the "gap," I succeeded!

    ReplyDelete
  56. HINT
    Colored elements clue: think CLOCKWISE

    ReplyDelete
  57. OK...great game! It is 2:30 in the morning here and I am nodding off! Thanks for the help...I'll try again tomorrow!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Oh my God. Congratulation to everyone who's gotten out, I'm really happy for you. You must have such a sense of accomplishment. Really my hat's off to you all

    ReplyDelete
  59. Missing the bellows. Probably has something to do with the box in the inventory. Where's the clue for it?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Red Snapper, were you able to use the nippers to free the screwdriver?

    ReplyDelete
  61. If you really feel like praising all of us, then please save this up for the next Gatamari. Because...this one was a piece of cake compared to Gatamari. I wrote a walkthrough for one of his games which took me one whole afternoon, and eight posts (each of them near the max character limit)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Power of Posting. Get the Screwdriver from downstairs with the Pliers

    ReplyDelete
  63. Xelkelvos, the bellows is in the upstairs box closed with a screw.

  65. Red Snapper, as far as getting your pliers back, you may just have to start over?

The clue for the bottom left locker comes from the fish tank.
The clue for the box comes from the bottom left locker.
Without the screwdriver, you're kinda stuck.

  66. 2nd time playing blue ball landed on golf course ??? strange

    ReplyDelete
  69. 2nd time playing blue ball landed on golf course ??? strange

    ReplyDelete
  70. Hell yeah, that was a 10 star game never mind 5.
I diiid have to brute force one number (the white numbers in the chest, couldn't get the "4" which turned into a "5" but the rest I could figure out) but besides that.. got 'em all but not without a lot of thinking and squinting at my screen like it's going to make it any easier.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Everyone's probably gone by now, but I'm stuck with just the red spiky ball thing. Where is the piece of paper?

    ReplyDelete
  72. gmm the piece of paper is in the hole under the fish tank (?) you will need the tweezers to get it out. I'm not stuck with a key which doesn't seem to go anywhere and the red spiky ball...

    ReplyDelete

  77. Clearly this game is over my head. Didn't understand most of the clues given in the comments, so I used the spoilers. Muddled through and now I'm at the point where I have to place the colored balls, but can't figure that out either.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Well, I've got four colored balls and a gold key. Still have the small chest with the gold padlock that I haven't opened and have no clue how to proceed. Guess I'll have to give up and check back later to see if there are more clues.

    ReplyDelete
  79. OMG!! that was awesome!!! A real challenge.... I wouldn't never had made it without all you guys comments!... Thankyou! :D

    ReplyDelete
  80. This is sheer brilliance!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Use the wind-up key downstais on the screen above the 3 buttons. You will get a colour sequence for the spiky balls. Concentrate on what comes before/after black. The dot is a void space between green and red.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Out, brilliant game ! Would have given up without all the good hints. Never opened the chest with the yellow padlock.

  84. The 3x3 puzzle is beyond words for me... This is exactly the kind of puzzles I like the best and consider my strongest point - yet I have absolutely, utterly no clue. I got to that point in about 15 minutes and spent more than two hours on that puzzle alone - and yet, I haven't got the fainstest idea. I had some weak ideas, none worked. first it looked like a challenge, then a hindrance - now it's pure annoyance. Seeing that others solved it in a couple of minutes makes me think there's something elemental I don't see there - also, the facts that I found all the other puzzles so far (and in the guy's earlier games) on the easier side seems to suggest I don't see something obvious. But for two hours???

I saw some of the hints for the puzzle, none helped.

    ReplyDelete
  85. @bio

I am with you there .... don't understand it at all

    ReplyDelete
  86. Ahh, I got it finally...

... and now I can officially say I did not like this puizzle at all. The guy makes great games - but this one puzzle was worse than terrible IMHO.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Never mind, figured it out too

    ReplyDelete
  88. Would it be hard to code this page so hints given in the comments could be hidden - like in Jay Is Games? It's so frustrating that you're ever so carefully try to avoid unwanted hints for puzzles you haven't reached yet, spoiling the fun, while trying to fish out hints you're actually looking for? I already have unwanted hints for two puzzles I didn't want hints for, when all I was trying to find hints for the 3X3 puzzle :(

    ReplyDelete
  89. Managed to fuck this previous comment up thoroughly - but i guess it's still clear what i meant to say.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Have red, blue, white balls and gold key. Don't know how to proceed. Please help.

    ReplyDelete
  91. NVM, got it. Forget the letter clue by changing the lever upstairs. Finally out!

    ReplyDelete
  92. AAARRGGHH!!!! I've been spending a lot of time reading all your comments in the hope someone could CLEARLY explain how to work the 3x3 grid. Then Bio started complaining in how he spent two hours trying to figure it out and Cool joined in and then....they BOTH say NVM I figured it out and NOT tell how!!!???? This drives me nuts!!!!!

Can someone please, please, please tell me how to solve that 3x3 grid never mind the spoilers.
I already had to use the spoilers on the numbers in the chest, which I STILL don't understand :-(

    ReplyDelete
  93. Bloody hell, I saw the light :-)
I solved the 3x3 grid. You have to ignore the fact that the ''blocks'' exsist of 3L shaped formes. Can't explain very clearly so I'll give the solution for those of you who need it: X=black O=white

    XOO
    XXO
    OXX

    ReplyDelete
  94. Celli, straight spoiler. On the grid...if numbered 1 -9....make these ones dark. No's: 1, 4, 5, 8, 9. Then, if you are interested, go back and look at the clue on the right of the black ball. It kinda made sense...after i solved it. LOL. The hint that got me though it, was the idea to use clue corners. Good luck.

    ReplyDelete
  95. What a terrific game. Thank-you Haretoki, that was excellent.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Thanks for comming to my rescue Clio, even if it was too late LOL

I'm still stuck with a box and the bottom left cupboard.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Oh creeps, I had to shove the big blue pliers throught the whole with the red pilons.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I am stumped by this one.
I am now downstairs with a red ball and a golden key. I can see where to put the ball... but where to use the key? Don't see any other clues either upstairs or downstairs.
going to make some more coffee........

    ReplyDelete
  99. finally got the crank and got the clue for 4 digit code..... totally useless to me.... went back up through the comments and glad someone had the code figured out (their explanation wasn't very helpful but hey the code works) would love to have that one explained better.... moving on

    ReplyDelete
  100. Oh my! the grid clue was WAY over my head. thanks again to the answer above. took a screen shot and stared at it for awhile.... nope... had to use the answer

    ReplyDelete
  101. Opened the door with the silver key have another box with 4 #, no clue what numbers go in it, and now I can't go out of the highlighted scene. .

    ReplyDelete
  102. Buggy game. Started over and now I can't get the crank. No fun for me.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Soooo stuck! How do I get the pliers downstairs???

    ReplyDelete
  104. Ok. Open the bottom right cupboard downstairs using the spoiler above (0357 - no idea how they got that...) Use silver key on door with screwdriver. Unscrew thing. Go back upstairs and chuck pliers down the liftshaft that's now there.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Oh ffs. They've vanished...

    ReplyDelete
  106. No - a bit more clicking about and they were in the cupboard with the screwdriver after all. This game is driving me doolally - as evidenced by me talking to myself...

  108. I've solved a couple of puzzles upstairs, but I'm stuck with a red blob, a golden key that doesn't open anything (not even the golden padlock) and pliers that I can't bring downstairs.
I think that I succeeded with the 3 buttons downstairs, but nothing happened... ie, I'm totally stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  109. tweezers??? I can't even find the piece of paper with tweezers. I'm out (with the little red 'x'.)

    ReplyDelete
  110. That 3x3 grid! Agh! I finally could visualize it (with help, thanks, guys!) by "zooming in" and imagining that the inner black marks are the centre square and the other squares have their edges cropped off. Look at it from far away, not as four individual markings.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Is there a clue somewhere for the 3 cupboards downstairs ?

    ReplyDelete
  112. The 9 digit keypad and the moving the number segments was hard!

    ReplyDelete
  113. Challenging game. Still don't understand the digital number puzzle so would not have been able to complete the game without the spoiler. I'd love a good explanation.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Digital number puzzle: The red line you see through binoculars is like a string attached to the pieces of the numbers. Drag the string so each piece advances (along the string) one notch. Don't forget about spaces! They advance too!

    ReplyDelete
  115. Ah, I decided that no matter what, I'm gonna solve the "moving" digital-numbers puzzles on my own. Took well over 2 hours - and this was AFTER I found out about the crank and the 2nd hint for the puzzle (the first one being the one you see through the "binoculras" upstairs after you've moved the shelf under it)...

So, for anyone who ytill needs help on the digital numbers puzzle (the one downstairs, the bottom right door on the cupboard that has three puzzle locks on it):

to solve it, you need two clues. One you see through the fixed "binoculars" upstairs - the one you saw the red-dots hint through in the beginning. To see the digital-numbers hint, first you have to move the "pointing hand" device downstairs directly under the binoculars - for that, you have to solve the 3X3 grid, of course. If you did that, the pointing hands moves forward, knocking the blue thingy off the shelf - and also putting a new hint under the binoculars. go up and watch the hint - that looks like digital humber with one bit sticking out, a red arrow leading/pointing trhough it. That's clue #1 for the digital numbers puzzle.

For the second clue, you have to go downstairs and find a crank. You find it "in" the smaller trunk, the one with a yellow padlock on it. The trick is - and it took me ages to stumble upon it by chance - that you can open the right side of it without opening the padlock. If you watch it closely, you can see that the right third of the trunk seems to be separate from the rest of it. Click on this seperate right third and it'll open, revealing a crank. Open the bigger trunk (the other trunk dowsntairs, not the bigger protion of the yellow-padlock trunk!) with the crank. It gives you clue #2: four figures that resemble the one you saw in the binoculars, but not quite the same - and with no red arrow on them.

Solution: Clue #1 tells you to move each bit of the figures ONE PLACE away in the direction the red arrow indicates (actually, it doesn't tell you about the one place thing, seems like we have to figure it out by ourselves). Note: the "BLANK spaces" (the no-bit places) also move! If you do this "moving one place business" for each of the four figures of clue #2, you get the four digit code. If you don't want to do it, it's

    0SPOIL3E57R

    Hope that helps.

    ReplyDelete
  116. And out.

I absolutely hated the 3X3 puzzle - but everything else was truly great - just like the previous works of this guy.

    ReplyDelete
  117. This game maker is fantastic! I've never made it out without help so thanks all for the hints. And @bio - thanks for taking the time to post those great explanations :)

    ReplyDelete
  118. After muddling my way thru this game I can't take the crank!!! So not starting over!

    ReplyDelete
  119. @bio,

Finally, someone who explains things ! Your explanations are very good, but I don't understand the hint with the red arrow, that's simply too difficult for me.
IMHO, this game is not challenging, it's just impossible. Too easy games are not enjoyable, but where is the fun in such a difficult game ?
    I'm simply giving up.

    ReplyDelete
  120. yeah the 4 digits puzzle was tough , Thank Bio for taking the time explaining it in details ..

@pdgph or anyone else who still doesn't get it , just imagine the segments are attached together and you are pulling the last one in the direction the red arrow shows , just one move , so the next one takes its place etc .. and as Bio explains the space moves as well .. so if you have this 2 segments pattern for instance _| it becomes |_ .. hope this helps anyway lol i dunno ..

    a 5 stars game anyway !

    ReplyDelete
  121. can somebody tell me where the tweezers is thanks

    ReplyDelete
  122. Mike W gets the grand prize for finding out you need to move the segments in the LCD puzzle according to the "9" clue. @celli gets the 2nd prize for telling us to shove the screwed pliers down the hole with the cones. I found the 3x3 grid difficult until I started guessing, it would be easier if you didn't wear glasses and saw each L shaped triple-block was one block. LOL. Only thing I dion't get is why there was a pliers cutout downstairs. Gotta give it 5 stars...

    ReplyDelete
  123. and the tweezers??? I have been looking around for about an hour now and cant find them. help!!

    ReplyDelete
  124. Wendy you get the tweezers by setting the 4 levers as the clue seen through binoculars indicates !

    ReplyDelete
  125. OMG I am finally out. I couldn{t have done it without all the help. Thank you everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  126. For those who don't get how the "red arrow" hint for the digital numbers puzzle work:

1.) That's absolutely normal: this puzzle is, indeed one tough sonofa, not one people will understand just like that. not like I was any kind of benchmark :), but, as i said, it took me well over 2 hour to figure it out - and I'm usually good with this kind of puzzles.

2.) As for the hint mechanics: to start off, take the digital number 8 - that's the "total" figure: one that has all 7 bits. Now, imagine tying the bits together into one long chain - in the order the red arrow indicates (at this pont there's no "sticking out" bit yet, and the bit that's represented with the dotted outline on the hint is still on its place). If you do it right, the "first" bit of the chain will be the one represented by the dotted silhoutette bit on the hint (it's the bit that you don't use for the digital number 9), and the last bit of the chain will be the middle-horizontal bit (the one you don't use for the number 0).

Now, you take this last bit (the middle-horizontal one), and pull the whole chain one notch, so this last bit is moved "outside" the digital number, one notch to the right - that's this "sticking out" bit on the hint. Since now it's a chain, all the bits will move one notch, and the place of the first bit (the one you don't need for the number 9) will be empty. (If you're wondering why we're moving the chain in exactly the opposite direction the arrow on the hint suggests: remember that we're not yet at the phase of using the hint, we're still at the phase of creating the shape he hint shows - we're kind of reverse engineering here :D)

So, now we have the shape the hint shows us and we understand how it was achieved from a "normal" digital number 8. Time to go to hint #2 - the four mal-shaped digits on the hint in the larger trunk. These four shapes are all identical with the starting-out shape you saw on the red arrow hint - with the only difference that some of the 7 bits (that make up the "full" digit - digit 8) are "blacked out". I guess it's better to assume they're there - only they're invisible - than to assume they're missing - because that way it's easier to imagine they are, too, moving when the bit-chain is moved.

To get the four digits that opens the four-digital-numbers-puzzle lock, we will have to take each of the four shapes of clue #2 and move the bit-chain one notch - this time IN THE DIRECTION THE RED ARROW SUGGESTS. This way, we are restoring the "original", digital number 8 shapes - but some of the bits are invisible, thus forming the true digits.

I hope that helps understanding how the digital-numbers puzzle, and more importantly, its hints work.

    ReplyDelete
  127. And, for the 3X3 puzzle - I guess an image is better than a lengthy explanation:

  128. Crap clue's, once someone said to throw pliers down shaft it was easy out from there for me.

    2 stars

    ReplyDelete
  129. um where is this red arrow?

    ReplyDelete
  130. Chris,
the red arrow is one the clue you see through the binoculars once yíou've solved the 3X3 puzzle, thus moving the "pointing hand" that pushes the blue spiky-ball off the shelf. The clue (with the red arrow) is on the hand's top, you can see it through the binoculars.

  133. Walkthrough coming!

This excellent game needs it. Everything in the game can be understood by moderately intelligent people. But the clues are diabolically clever! (As in his previous games)

I'll post it in an hour or so.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Sometimes Sunny #9 -Pt. 1

Note you can save your game and continue later, but you won't die, so it's not necessary if you're playing straight through.

Step forward and look through the binoculars at the circles clue. The sizes run 2-4-1-3.
Back out and turn left: enter these sizes in the positions of the red levers. Experimentation reveals that '1' is farthest from you, '4' closest. Drawer opens to give you TONGS. (Any time you enter a correct code in this game, something red tirns blue.)

Turn right again, look at the small box under the fish tank. Reach down and get HAMMER HANDLE; then look closer and see a CLUE PAPER you can get with your TONGS.

Turn left again, and look at the device to the upper left of the green tube. Clicking on the button gives you a clue: 5L,1R, 2L, 4R. Sounds like a safe code, and it is.

Turn left and see the safe to your left. Enter code (by going TO those numbers, rather than clicking that number of spaces), get HAMMER HEAD. Put your HAMMER together and turn right again.

If you went to American State Fairs during the 70s, you'll remember seeing these contraptions where you prove your manliness by hitting the button hard enough to ring the bell at the top. This one works a little more easily: get SPIKY RED BALL.

Now turn L or R twice, and study the grid. Clicking on various parts turns different numbers of dots blue. Now either you need a good visual memory here, or you need to note the pattern on some scratch paper. Depending where you click, you'll turn 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 dots blue. Click so as to light them up in the order of the blue numbers on your CLUE PAPER. This reveals a ladder, and a pair of PLIERS which you can take, but can't take downstairs.

  135. Sometimes Sunny #9 - Pt. 2

Go down, and grab the GOLD KEY you can't use yet. Look around and marvel at the strange devices. Take a closer look at the chest with a padlock; no you can't open the lock but if you click on the right side of the chest, THAT part opens. Get a CRANK.

Turn left once, use CRANK on the other chest to reveal an as-yet-incomprehensible clue.

Notice the letter 'E', and other letters you can't see attached to chains. A little puttering around reveals that the red levers upstairs control these letters. Since the last letter is in position, make the other levers match that position, and get a word for the letter safe to your right. Now you have a SPIKY GREEN BALL.

Now turn right and go to the three buttons. You need a pattern to apply to the 3-button panel on another wall; When a button stays down, it is right, if it pops up, you have to start over. When you reach the end of the sequence, all 3 will stay down for a short time. I get 1-3-2-1-3-2-3 but it might not be the same in every game.

Turn around, enter sequence, get clue for grid.
Everyone hated this clue, but I got it right away by just kind of following the pattern without understanding it. You make a sort of sideways "W", or a chair with an ottoman; 1-4-5-8-9.
Although the clue is 4x4, and the grid is 3x3, the white places show where squares should stay white. Sorry I'm no better help on this.

You now have a SPIKY BLUE BALL which has landed either in the trash can or on the miniature golf course. (I wonder if it ever goes in the hole?)

Now you may notice that the circles clue on the floor is the same you were looking down on with the binoculars from above. Now there's something blocking the way, so let's look again. Yes, it's a new clue, which tells you what to do with the weird digits on the chest downstairs.

Hats off to Haretoki for this one! A totally original (as far as I know), yet comprehensible puzzle. Not that it isn't hard. Probably easiest if you write down each number and do the changes on paper.
The explanations by bio and others above were very good, but I like mine too; Think of a train set. The '9' clue shows you how the train moves along the track. Empty cars (spaces) move along the same as do loaded cars. So you have to apply that same movement to each of the digits downstairs to make them into your code numbers. Since there is nothing 'extra' to the right of the apparent '9', that middle space will be empty, and the loaded cars will push around to form a 0. The second one makes a 3. the 3rd was the hardest for me to visualize; had to write it down before I could see it's a 5. The last is easiest of all; the tiny circle becomes a 7.

Enter these in the right-hand safe behind you; get SILVER KEY.
Turn around again and use it to operate the elevator.
Now you can use that SD you've been itching to get your hands on, but it's not really yours yet; Take BROWN BOX. Note you can pull back the white sliding lock and open the elevator.

So return upstairs, and toss the PLIERS in the elevator! Go back down, retrieve them and close elevator door. Now use SD to free PLIERS; then use PLIERS to free SD!

Take it upstairs and use it on the brown chest near the green pipe. Get BELLOWS.

Turn right, attach BELLOWS to fish tank, use to see numbers for the remaining safe downstairs.

Enter those, get WIND-UP KEY and a clue for your BROWN BOX. This one's simple; just switch up and down parts.
    SP4O1I0L5ER
Open BROWN BOX, get SPIKY WHITE BALL.

Turn right and use WIND-UP KEY on the panel above the 3 buttons. You will see a sequence for spiky balls: blue-green-empty-red-black-white. Turn around to see panel with spiky black ball already in place; arrange yours accordingly (clockwise) to reveal the keyhole, where you use your GOLD KEY and escape!
