  1. Thank you SD. That one was quick and easy.

  2. I made a fire, now what?

    ReplyDelete
  3. My bottle is gone, it just disappeared, I can't fill it with water, bad bad bad game...

    ReplyDelete
  4. My bottle disappeared as well. Rubbish!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Cougwife, what did you put the water in?

    ReplyDelete
  6. The water goes in the bottle, which has disappeared for at least two of us.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Make that three of us.. I'm bottleless too.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I just assumed the bottle disappeared because the chest was opened.

    ReplyDelete
  9. replayed it... Seems that you have to click the bottle in the view where you did take the paper. I've got the bottle now.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I don't even SEE a bottle. Where is it?

    ReplyDelete
  11. After that you are out. So it is just a matter of clicking the bottle at the right moment, otherwise it is gone. Maybe SD could fix this...

    ReplyDelete
  12. myrdlebp: I'm not sure what triggers it, but it falls from the sky in one of the sea views eventually...

    ReplyDelete
  13. Ok, here's the sequence... Once you build the fire ring, the bottle washes ashore. Click on it and open it to read the numbers on the map, then click on the empty bottle in the zoomed view to keep the bottle. If you leave the scene without it, you never get it back.

  14. Think it came when you placed all 5 rocks, 3 sticks and grass. Then the sun sets. Just a guess...

    ReplyDelete
  15. Once I put the 5 stones, three pieces of wood and dry grass on the ground, the bottle appeared.

I also had to replay as the bottle disappeared the first time, the second time, the map with the number clue disappeared. Not to SD's normal standard in any way

  16. Okay, bottle just floated into the game. I don't know why, but most SD games these days don't play for me in Chrome. Have to use FF, I don't know what's up with that.

    ReplyDelete
  17. replayed it again, and this time the bottle was on the beach after reading the note. Maybe potential bug was now fixed. If yes: thanks again SD!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. myrdlebp - I have that same problem with Chrome. In fact I've stopped using Chrome altogether because of so many problems. FF usually works best for me with this site.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I will make sure you MUST take the bottle. I figured everyone would take it. :) Thanks!!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. OK, the bottle is fixed. Once you open the chest you don't need the note any more, that's why it isn't there any more. Not a bug.

    ReplyDelete
  21. So there's a bug. Just make sure after you open the bottle in the zoomed in view that you take the empty bottle before you zoom out.

I would NOT call this a crap game. And I bet before a few more minutes pass, even that will be fixed.

Thanks SD. Look forward to my second day on the island!

  22. Game will not load - just a black screen. I've tried 3 times, will try again later.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Where's the third piece of wood?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Never mind. Found it. Sneaky!

    ReplyDelete
  25. In and out. All well for me in Chrome, no bugs at all. Thanks SD...

    ReplyDelete
  26. Where is the third stick?

    ReplyDelete
  27. not finding dry grass anywhere. Which screen is it?

    ReplyDelete
  28. there is a stick under anchor after you eat banana for strength.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The third for me was in the boat.

    ReplyDelete
  30. OK, after a break now it works. Thanks, SD!

    ReplyDelete
  31. found grass. Mouse never turned to hand for some reason.

    ReplyDelete
  32. First DAY on the island?
First 45 seconds, more like! It took longer to load than to play. :)

I didn't have any problem with the bottle, but I filled it with water right away and set it where the hint said to.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Mac:
It takes a long time to load. Be patient.

    ReplyDelete
  34. It is not loading... slow or otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Game won't load for me (two attempts), using Chrome

    ReplyDelete
  36. I am using Chrome as well TooCute.

    ReplyDelete
  37. TooCule: Chrome is notorious for not working with these games. I just tried it again, and it works fine for me in both FF and IE.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Not loading...likewise in Chrome.

    ReplyDelete
  39. If you leave a bottle lying around on the beach, you shouldn't be surprised if it washes away. The early hysterics about what I saw as a perfectly reasonable feature (not a bug!) were ridiculous! Selfdefiant, you are far too indulgent. Thanks for all the great games. I hope all the whining from a vocal few doesn't discourage you from trying new things now and then.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I didn't take the bottle & have read that I should have. I closed out the game & tried another reload from this page. The game didn't come up from the beginning-it came back EXACTLY where I left off!! So I tried again going ALL the way back out & reloading this site too. Same thing. It just keeps remembering where I was.

I would really like to replay this game but it won't let me :(

  41. Try pressing 'New' instead of 'Play' to start the game, RC Cat.

    ReplyDelete
  42. 3 stars, pixel hunt to figure out where to place bottle of water

    ReplyDelete
  43. Can't load in safari as well

    ReplyDelete
  44. After about sixth attempt finally went through. Just keep trying.

    ReplyDelete
  45. @iconland, I had no problem... The dialogue clearly states to "find some fresh water to keep here" anywhere between the two trees.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thanks HUW !!! That worked. I should have known better

    ReplyDelete
  47. SD good game, no problems..you said you figured everyone would take the bottle, you didn't take into account some peoples stupidity.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I like the way the time of day changes as you progress through the game. And the part about not exploring "today" suggests that we will go that direction in the sequel. It makes this feel like a larger game which has been broken down into episodes. Just had to figure out that quirk about the bottle.

  49. To all the EG24 posters who Bitched,

How many Game Designers hang around
to check if their game runs smoothly...

    NONE!

The guy has to drop his kids to summer camp,
do a grocery run and make dinner, no wonder that
a bit of Java script /HTML5/Windows wobblie and apple peal
    will get mixed up...DUH!

So before anyone decides to get on their high horse
again, let’s see YOU make a really fun Escape Game.

(Anyway I wonder how Mya is getting on with her next Escape?)

    ReplyDelete
  50. make sure you REALLY search the wreck!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I am missing one rock and a way to open up stuck lid of box...

    ReplyDelete
  52. Tania click the hole on the outside of the wreck, without clicking on the opening, and you should find one. There's also one on the lower right of the screen behind some green plants in one scene. HTHs!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Well nuts. I'm using FF and the game wont even load for me. I wonder if they're fixing the bugs. Guess I'll have to come back to it.
