ReplyDelete@Sue it seemed to take forever for the soup to heat up. Not sure if it helped but I went to the cabin where you sleep, clicked the bed then went to the galley and the soup was ready

ReplyDeleteIrritated that "waiting" for soup to heat does not entail waiting, but rather means "visit every room you have so far discovered for no reason and then come back" (pointless clickety-click). I think this will be a fun series though.
That music drove me insane! LOVED all the back and forth shenanigans, especially thinking about who is going to absolutely HATE same! Excellent episode. We have really been spoiled lately. Thanks, Selfdefiant. Your games are always a highlight of my day / week.

ReplyDeleteFinally my soup got hot! I tried sleeping, but that didn't work. I clicked on the book again, and then it was hot, but that may not be what needs to be done. Maybe you just have to go in and out of a lot of places.

So first my plane goes down and I get stuck on an island, then shortly after that, another plane crash lands me lost in the jungle. Now I'm lost at sea, I think I need to just stay at home more.

Cant find step ladder. Soups on stove. I have the knife and one fuse.

ReplyDeleteThe navigation was a little wonky and having to try to sleep before the soup was ready was a bit counter-intuitive but these new serial games are fantastic! Keep 'em coming, SD! Great job!
ReplyDelete@Dieter, at the stairs scene, go left, then go up. The 3rd door on your right is unlocked (it's the one with the flamingos picture). The step-ladder should be at the foot of the bed on your right.

ReplyDeleteWrong, the ladder is UPstairs not DOWNstairs.
Downstairs is where the EXIT is, and upstairs is where the doors are that have those plates on them with something scribbled on.

I'd never have bothered revisiting any rooms either downstairs or upstairs!

I don't know any other way to describe how to get to the step ladder other than this:
ReplyDeleteYou get the key from the book under the middle chair. Go to the Galley and use the key to open the door. When in the Galley, eat an energy bar. Go back up to the top deck from the Galley, go left 5 times and now that you have enough energy, open up the "Stairs" door. Go through that door to the downstairs (or what I think of as below deck) and go left to see a hallway. Go straight ahead (up) to the next hallway where there is NOT an Exit sign and open the third door on the right side. The step ladder is in that room. Also the flamingo picture has the directions (look at the eyes) to use later on. Then go back to where the Exit sign is, go left and then up back upstairs to where the bell is. Put the step ladder down there and ring the bell.
Take the step ladder back from the bell scene so you can use it at the Exit sign for a fuse...

ReplyDelete...and that IS "upstairs" for me! However, you might be right, I might have let myself be fooled by the UP direction bar...it might just be the continuation of the very same hallway, the north wing of it whilst the EXIT one is the south wing.
