  2. And as usual with these riddle games, level 1 already has me stumped. I just KNOW I'm overlooking something blatantly obvious, but...

  3. perhaps look at 5 from a different angle

    ReplyDelete
  4. for level 1, find the poem online....there are a few errors in my version

    ReplyDelete
  5. will pick this up tomorrow. xaq - check the original and note the differences.

  8. *brickwalls at 3* "Can you find the name of a famous English writer in this?"

No. No I can't. Author names =/= my strong suit. :[

  10. ...Okay, wow, somehow I figured that's right where the answer was, but I was using too many letters.

    Weird.

But, again, thanks. *moves on to Lv 4*

  11. Fun as always! Thanks Jon :)

  12. Made it 2 more levels, but 6 has me confused. Am I doing the opposite of what I did in 5?

    ReplyDelete
  13. maybe, but it doesn't seem to be working. :[

    ReplyDelete
  14. remember, the number you are looking for has to be backwards ;)

    ReplyDelete
  15. I knew that much...where I was screwing up was what number one of the letters becomes. I forgot to capitalize it first.

    DUHHH. On to 7.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yaaay, made it through the rest on my own. I feel much better now...'specially after that victory video.

    Thanks a bunch, guys!

  17. Got Lvl 3 from your clue Jon. But can't see why - can't see the connection with the puzzle clue.

    Now stuck on Lvl 4.
Is the spelling mistake intentional? Or are we looking for something else?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oops - NVM. Saw the answer.

    Lvl 5.

    ReplyDelete
  19. All done - rest were easy.

Fun waste of time Jon. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  20. sorry Ashley, my mistake with the typo! :(

    ReplyDelete
  21. the answer to 4 is toward the end of the text....

    ReplyDelete
  22. $ uses the same trick as 3, you are looking for an African country

    ReplyDelete
  23. my typing has gone to blazes....$ = 4

    ReplyDelete
  24. Cheers John, I enjoyed that.

Glad to see you back :D

  30. level 3: "dream is" contains the authors name

    ReplyDelete
  31. oh thanks Rambler.. didn't see your hint

    ReplyDelete
  32. So the answer to Lvl 3, Jon, is more by sound?

Or did I miss something else?
Seems to me we would have to know a bit about literature without your forum clue to help.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Okay - ignore last query. I was thinking of the word "famous" - the sound is there. Completely missed "dream is".

But my other comment still stands, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thanks Jon. I enjoyed that a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Every time I press answer it takes me to a page saying "Page not Found".

    ReplyDelete
  47. tishtosh, a wrong answer will take you to the "Page not Found" Are you on level 1?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I enjoyed the video at the end as well, Jon. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  49. tishtosh...to get you started. Read the poem and note that there are missing letters. No need to anagram those missing letters, they make a word. Type that word in lowercase into the answer box, click the answer button and it will take you to the next level.

    Great video too :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Any help for level 2? I found the missing letters, but no idea which of the infinite possible manipulations I need to perform.

    ReplyDelete
  57. For level 2, the missing letters are in order, one per line to give you a 6 letter word.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanks! The extra "t" in "there were" kind of threw me. I wonder why it's there?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Proof that cats are liquid! Thanks Jon. That one was the most fun yet. Had to take my glasses off for 7 and would never have got 3 without the hint but, for the rest I had a good brain day, for a change :)
