    ReplyDelete

  6. Anyone on to 16 yet? I've been stuck here for a while now.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I think we might need to start using codes now, like the ROT codes etc., I just don't know where to start...

    ReplyDelete
  8. jbg,
gimme a big fat hint for 15, then maybe I can help you at L16...
    ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Janet - nope...not getting anywhere. Was reading back comments, but that's getting harder to do the more there are.

    ReplyDelete
  10. the bigger & fatter the better!

    ReplyDelete
  11. indeed, enzed LOL

    ReplyDelete
  12. L15- looks like something to do with repetition.

Not many words repeated in the italics section

    ReplyDelete
  13. @Alpha

    For level 15:

You have the two words from the numbers in the image correct? Then you need to look at the last line in the text which tells you to form something. Look at the italicized words at the bottom and use the two words you got from the numbers to make these italicized words into something. Then you can start picking letters.

    ReplyDelete
  14. read your hint Janet but all i get is UOZGS obviously on the wrong track sorry

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ladysue - if Z=1 going backwards Y=2, X=3 all the way to A=26. Now plug in your numbers and see what you get.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Ladysue if I remember rightly that was one level where it helped to initially write the names of the numbers down.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Rats!
    Have to go...
well, then, GL & leave BFHs ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Ladysue- is that the one that started Six Ten..

    ReplyDelete
  19. Janet I think you are giving Ladysue hints to the next level!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Okay - back to 14.... Using Enzed's hint I get -15, +4, -4, +15 for the top. OMG I just got it.... Thank you

    ReplyDelete
  21. Just checked Enzed and it's Six Twelve etc but same result.

    ReplyDelete
  22. that's great Janet- now you can repay the favour on 15

    I hope!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I thought she said level 6 after the 1st egg - that's the one where the numbers are 6,12,1,19,8

    ReplyDelete
  24. thank you so much Austen64 & Janet

    ReplyDelete
  25. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh, I got 14 too! Your hint did it, Janet - thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  27. For level 6, the first word use the alphabet A=1, B=2 gets you the 1st egg. For the 2nd part, use the alphabet Z=1, Y=2 and then cause you are going backwards, reverse the word.

    8,19,1,12, 6 using Z=1, Y=2....

    ReplyDelete
  28. Curious- L15, if we look at the doubled letters we get TLTLT

might be totally irrelevant of course

    ReplyDelete
  29. so..nine nine....what could that mean???

    ReplyDelete
  30. For level 15,
The very last sentence is vey important!
As next step after decoding the pic (for the first time).

    ReplyDelete
  31. Although I love doing these riddle games I am not very good without all the helpful hints so I thank every body for leaving hints

    ReplyDelete
  32. What about adding a one so we can call 911 - isn't this an emergency?

    ReplyDelete
  33. lol...now you're just getting silly, Janet!

Although, I've guessed ninety nine, one hundred, two (the letter i, twice)...how's that for being silly..

    ReplyDelete
  34. It would be another 9 over here Janet but LOL anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I even guessed "red balloons" after the song....nope...

    ReplyDelete
  36. And then I remembered "99 luft balloons" by Nena....nope

    ReplyDelete
  37. Level 15:

Maybe try changing the words to 99 and putting a little x between those two numbers. That might give you a hint as to what to do with the italicized words.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm embarrassed to ask but can I get a hint for level 2? Nothing is jumping out at me.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Looked at every 9th letter in the italics and every 18th letter in the italics - nothing jumped out. See jbg clue @5:24 - which looks like a really great clue

Then tried to make words out of each 9 letters - nope

    ReplyDelete
  40. LW, convert the numbers to letters and read backwards

    ReplyDelete
  41. TY Donas. Seems so obvious after the fact.

    ReplyDelete
  42. For level 15, use your hint to make a grid, then use the numbers in pairs to help pick the letters for the answer

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hi LW - please never ever be embarrassed. The only way you figure these out is by doing it and then using the "tricks" you learn.

This builds from Level 1 where A=1, B=2 etc.

In this case, use the numbers 1,11,12 and 23 to get 4 letters of the alphabet.

Then notice small-tool said to "nag a ram" - it's a clue to anagram the word - the letters are right but they need to be put in order. This will also sometimes be called asking "granny" for help

    ReplyDelete
  44. Janet,
There's a very important part in the text ('form this', the text).
So make the important part of the text a grid/box.

    ReplyDelete
  45. ty Janet, didn't catch the nag a ram hint.

    ReplyDelete
  46. so make two 3 x 3 grids (with nine squares in each one?)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I am stuck with level 16. I am focusing on the last line of text and trying to see something that seems to be hiding from me.

    ReplyDelete
  48. 9 x 9 grid...not Sudoku...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Okey-dokey - one big grid - all italicized letters neatly printed in the one big grid - Gee they fit perfectly.

    ReplyDelete
  50. This isn't a circle the word puzzle I guess ;). Yes, silliness is becoming the last resort

    ReplyDelete
  51. nope, not getting 4 at all, read the clues but still cant do it.

    ReplyDelete
  52. For leve15 remove the spaces from the italicized text and break into segments of 9 letters each with each group on a new line. If you use Notepad it will all line up nicely. Then you have some numbers that can be broken into groups of 2 like co-ordinates.................

    ReplyDelete
  53. lol Janet....the only word you could circle would be 'nine' :-D

    ReplyDelete
  54. oops, that's wrong...I can't even find a nine in that grid...

    ReplyDelete
  55. @Zoe:

You aren't looking for nine in the grid. Once you have the grid you need to use the numbers again to pick letters.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yes Tish - this was a really hard one for me. Best clue I can give is an example. Then get a pencil and start drawing.

Convert the numbers 1st. So look at the 1st one 9 = the letter I. Then there's two 3's which convert to the letter C.
Notice the two 3's are backwards.

So, if you take an I which is a straight line and attached two turned around C's to it you get a letter of the alphabet - in this case the letter B.

    Does that make sense???

    ReplyDelete
  57. Well after a huge amount of help (thanks to all) it is onward to L16.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanks Janet got it now due to your clue, much obliged

    ReplyDelete
  59. Loving the game but must go to bed as it is 2.45 am in UK my brain is dull as I have had a couple of red wines will carry on tomorrow thanks for the hints

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yes, LinR - thanks for the coordinates clue. That was the word that really helped. Of course, besides everyone telling me about the 9x9 grid.

    ReplyDelete
  61. so. I made a 9x9 grid with all the letters of the italicized words - there are exactly 81 words in all of them, which fit the grid perfectly. Then I put the numbers of each letter above them in the grid, so I have all the numbers for each italicized letter. Where do I go from there??

    ReplyDelete
  62. omg...I just finished the other one, did my homework (thankfully) and saw this one......I'VE BEEN REWARDED!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Zoe - you still there??? And did you get 14? I'm ready to hang up my riddling shoes until tomorrow and give my brain a much needed rest.

    ReplyDelete
  64. oops,i mean there are exactly 81 LETTERS, not words....

    ReplyDelete
  65. No, but I feel that I'm close...did you read what I did? AM I close? Please please??

    ReplyDelete
  66. I only got the 1st half so far - just when you think you're done s-t says nope...Key word is coordinates. so think column, row 1,4 9,1

    ReplyDelete
  67. You are very, very close Zoe :)
Now do use the pic again (in another way) to pick 6 letters.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  69. Level 16 - How cute Ellie and Edgar poem.... But my poor brain will save that for tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  70. by coordinate pairs you mean 1,4 / 9,1 / 4,5 /1,4 / 9,1 /4,5

    ??

    ReplyDelete
  71. Zoe - won't leave you til you tell me you've got it....

    ReplyDelete
  72. 15 was a killer for me to wrap my brain around the clues - no way would I ever have thought to make a grid - thanks for that clue

    ReplyDelete
  73. I Got it!!! I was right...about those coordinates....thanks Janet and S-t...thanks for staying, Janet!

I'm done too, maybe see you tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  74. Zoe - Columns and Rows so yes the coordinates of coulmn x and row y equals a letter in the answer

    ReplyDelete
  75. drat...just the first part...gotta do the second now...

    ReplyDelete
  76. ok,,second part of 14 was easy..just the same thing only rows/colums...onto 16 now

    ReplyDelete
  77. Goodnight Zoe. Goodnight small-tool. Now let's see level 15 of 50 completed - that's only 30% finished!!!! Gonna be a long day tomorrow and the next day and perhaps even the next day....

    ReplyDelete
  78. Goodnight Janet - it was fun doing this with all your help! And everyone elses's too. Have a good night!

    ReplyDelete
  79. I remember Ellie and Edgar so well from quite a while ago playing. I remember when Edgar was singing "leaving on a jet plane" to go to Seel Ellie - then married - then child. Glad they're part of this, too.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Lvl 3: spending too much time on it.....help please?

    ReplyDelete
  81. Nite, nite Janet :)
And good luck with the next levels later.
And nope, don't wanna discourage you but so far it was kidding around, the real killer levels are waiting for you :P
But I'm very sure the great EG24 team players will solve them all :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Tangled...no commas means you have to figure out what the letter is..trial and error mostly, but if you start with 1, that would be 'A', or it could be '12' which would be 'L'. the second letter could be 2 or 'B' or it could be 22, which would be 'V' (not likely)...so you just have to be careful where you place the commas. I'll give you a hint....the last letter is not 'E'......

    ReplyDelete
  83. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Tangled, keep the numbers in order and convert to letters, the answer is 5 letters, so you may have to play around with it to find the right pairs

    ReplyDelete
  85. Tangled, it all depends on where you space. ie..first four numbers could be 1, 2, 2, 1....or......12 and 21. Wont take long to work out where to space.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Thanks Zoe, I got enough to get a **** guess

    ReplyDelete
  87. Tangled...don't get discouraged by lvl 4..it's tricky, but once you get the idea, it goes fast....I spend a good part of today on that one!!

    ReplyDelete
  88. ok...really going to sleep now....thanks small-tool for a great game!

    ReplyDelete
  89. All I've managed to extract from L16 so far are two grannies from the last line.
Either of these could have been correct but not when S-T is in the driving seat!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Austen,
Be very literal with the first word of that last line.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Not working after trying to answer first question.... unless this is actually part of the game :(

    ReplyDelete
  93. Hi Jbg.
    You figured out L16 yet?

    ReplyDelete
  94. it just seems you guys know what to do or have ideas.....thanks for encouragement! so now hint on lvl 5 egg please!

    ReplyDelete
  95. clickwik. That would normally mean you have given an incorrect answer. 19 =S, 20=T...etc. That should get you STARTed.

    ReplyDelete
  96. omg! I got lvl 5's egg!!! LOL.....just soooo exciting!

    ReplyDelete
  97. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  98. @Austen:

Hes, I'm currently looking at 21. For level 16 the last line is the only thing you need. Try to break up one of the words into two words and then do what the last line says. Also, Granny will help.

    ReplyDelete
  99. lvl 5 egg....don't know....a little nudge please?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Sorry Tangled I thought you'd got it so I deleted my earlier post!
Take the three words which got you the egg and do to them what you initially did on L1.

    ReplyDelete
  101. oh sorry austen....it's 6's egg .....2nd is not the right track.

    ReplyDelete
  102. That's OK Tangled.
See the hints to Ladysue at 5:31, 5:33 and 5:37.
    That should see you through.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Just past 04:30 here and I've been at this from the start.
    Brain fried.
    Eyes blurred.
    Mouse battery in the red.
    Rum bottle empty.
    Sleep needed.
    Good night everyone.
Good luck and thanks for all the help..

    ReplyDelete
  104. I'm going to hell for this, but I googled the name of the game with no spaces, and...

    ReplyDelete
  105. Hi Austen- before you go- any progress on 16:)

    have a good night

    ReplyDelete
  106. Enzed,
    A bit like I already posted before;
It's all about the last line.
And it's about using/reading the first word of that last line quite literally.
Oh, and Granmaa plays a role as well.

Anyway, way and way too late here. Good luck all :)

    ReplyDelete
  107. I've seen jbg's hint to Austen for L16 but its not helping me!. Anyone out there with a bigger steer?

    ReplyDelete
  108. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Level 16:

Look at the first word of the last line. It can be read as two words. now make sure the second of the two words you get is not in the last two words of the last line.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I did that it it makes no sense.....starting backwards from z and the word isn't working for some reason and I don't know why....

    ReplyDelete
  111. I read prev hints for this and i get shzou....

    ReplyDelete
  112. spell the numbers out and do what comes FIRST

    ReplyDelete
  113. omg...SPELL the numbers? when you get the answer it seems so simple? how do you guys know which way to look at these?

    ReplyDelete
  114. I can't get many without hints - been way too many years since I worked riddles

    ReplyDelete
  115. I see how fast so many get through these levels and I'm in awe....I've been working this puzzle since around 6pm and I'm only on level 8's egg......

    ReplyDelete
  116. I'm here for another hour and can help through 16 but I'm not going further tonight

    ReplyDelete
  117. Farmwife, what is a 'leet?'

    ReplyDelete
  118. Got to 9.....staring at it!

    ReplyDelete
  119. LEET is looking at numbers and seeing them as letters

    ReplyDelete
  120. is that what is needed on 9?

    ReplyDelete
  121. http://tjshome.com/leettext.php

    try that

    ReplyDelete
  122. :) on to 10....this riddle string is the one I am learning quite a few things.....from writing, converting, counting and now leet.....:)

    ReplyDelete
  123. Time to go to sleep...I'm staring at 10 (read hints from Donas @2:06 and it's not sinking in.....thanks Farmwife for helping...see you tomorrow!

    ReplyDelete
  124. I was doing so well until I hit lvl8. Can't get past it, no matter what. I just don't understand the hints given here. Write, count, convert? Written numbers make new numbers?

    ReplyDelete
  125. Hi unknown

you have four numbers, the first is five.
Firstly write it down- How many letters does FIVE have- how might you convert that number to a letter?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Thank you enzed! Finally a plain explanation even I get. I'm moving forward. :)

    ReplyDelete
  127. glad to help unknown- now hurry up and help me with 17 will you:)

    ReplyDelete
  128. OK level 17. I know who the person is and how he relates to the other character on the right. I think I have solved the count and Granny has helped me end up with a 2 word phrase 2,6.
I still have no idea though what the answer is!

    ReplyDelete
  129. enzed....your words should be 3, 5.

    ReplyDelete
  130. back for a bit, working on L17 (with no avail yet...)

    ReplyDelete
  131. I must have been really tired last night!
On the right lines but didn't remove enough.
    On to L17.

    ReplyDelete
  132. hi Austen,
care to share your ideas for L17?
(so far I have 8 numbers from counting...)

    ReplyDelete
  133. Would love to AΩ if I had anything constructive to contribute yet.
    Busy counting now.

    ReplyDelete
  134. triaging the necessary stuff from the unnecessary in riddles is always a challenge for me - no hotspots LOL

drilling my brain with questions like
    where to apply those numbers?
(there are also 8 small text lines...)
what to do with the pic topic?
is «every single second a word» important, if yes how to apply?
    (before/after counting?)
    what shortcut method?
    etc.

riddling seems to be a pretty solitary play...

    ReplyDelete
  135. I now have the characters and relationship from the image but am struggling to see how it relates to the text.

    ReplyDelete
  136. are we the only ones here atm?
(hello, hello you out there, chirp some hints, that would be fair)
    ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  137. If you have the chap and how it relates to the character on the right, then you will note in the text mention of a shortcut method. Go back and check your chap and use his shortcut method. Hope that helps.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Sorry Alpha...i was scoffing food and forgot to refresh.

    ReplyDelete
  139. hi clio_rose,
do we need his full name (incl. his full 2nd name)?

    ReplyDelete
  140. If you know who he is just read his Law about the second pic, on wiki...scroll down a bit and you will see there is a shortcut method.

    ReplyDelete
  141. or do we need this?
    (found in wiki)
A shortcut method for degrees Celsius is to count the number of chirps in 8 seconds

    ReplyDelete
  142. oops, now it was me who didn't refresh first...

    ReplyDelete
  143. yep...and the text tells you how fast the speaker talked.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Hello again! I'm back and now at lvl 16. But I think I must read the clues first :)

    ReplyDelete
  145. L17. I count bees (all and small and double) :) Should I use telegraph then?

    ReplyDelete
  146. Fossa, if you read back only a few comments, there is quite a bit about Lvl 17. You need to know who the chap in the pic is, and how he relates to the pic on the right.

    ReplyDelete
  147. riddling is sooo time-devouring... have to go again... bye

    ReplyDelete
  148. Hopefully I might have solved L17 by then AΩ.
I'm fairly sure I have all the pieces but not sure how to assemble them.

    ReplyDelete
  149. clio_rose, I did it but forgot about +5 (( Thank you a lot!)

    ReplyDelete
  150. yayyyy fossa. i did too. lol

    ReplyDelete
  151. Real life is seriously hampering my riddle solving...

I made it to lvl16 on my own now after getting the hint for lvl8, but now I'm seriously stuck again. I don't understand the hints given here.

All that talk about Sweden and the reference to Belgium made me immediately think of Abba and Waterloo. Now, although I know from the hints that only the last line counts, I can't get Waterloo out of my head.

Help me before I start scouring ebay for sequin bell bottoms, please?

    ReplyDelete
  152. Unknown. I really dont know how to give a hint without being obvious. Read the last sentence with a slightly different emphasis on certain words. If that doesnt help, let me know and i will blab and then delete.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Unknown, for level 16, the last line is 4 words, divide the first word into 2 new words, then use those 2 words as instructions on the last 2 words

    ReplyDelete
  154. got it...i think i know how to hint it. Split the first word into the two separate components (2, 5 NOT 3, 4)...and ..because small-tool is tricky, ignore the H.

    ReplyDelete
  155. hahaha..im too slow at typing again, Donas. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  156. clio_rose

I'm really not getting this one... I think the first word of the last line becomes two, but I don't know how that will help me along. I tried counting the letters in the new words and then rearranging, but nothing makes sense.

Clearly Abba has corroded my brain!

    ReplyDelete
  157. Unknown, 1st word is instruction (what to get off 2 last words). You need 6-letters answer (with granny)

    ReplyDelete
  158. clio_rose,

Thanks! Now I got it, finally! It was a tricky granny for me, too.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Mamma Mia! Small-tool is tricky, translate that first 2 letter new word you made into "remove"

    ReplyDelete
  160. 18 I take it I don't need to know who Candy is sweetshop d/w lol

    ReplyDelete
  161. also think it is something to with hands or what is in them

    ReplyDelete
  162. comments are for 19 rather

    ReplyDelete
  163. Mtatt, I think you mean level 19, try to read the last three words a little differently, then granny is your friend

    ReplyDelete
  164. back and still unsure of 10....read Donas' hints from yesterday but the letters aren't making any sense plus falls apart at the end...

    ReplyDelete
  165. Tangled, for 10, for each pair of numbers, write out the 2nd, then use the first to pick a letter, each line gives a word

    ReplyDelete
  166. Tangled use first coord on the second number

    ReplyDelete
  167. I found lvl36 egg by accident :)

I think this riddle is too hard for me. I liked the SadisT riddle and it was actually the first one I have managed to solve from start to finish (with some help from here), but for some reason this just doesn't click with me. I seem to be stuck all the time now.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Does brother 2 do the same to 3rd line?

    ReplyDelete
  169. Lvl 18. Any hint please?

    ReplyDelete
  170. yes Tangled

Unknown it is a hard riddle just need to persevere

still no idea on 19 can only read em one way

    ReplyDelete
  171. Unknown, Small-tool is a master trickster, it takes time to learn riddle methods, and playing is the best way to learn, don't give up!

    ReplyDelete
  172. 18 listen to the music there is order

    ReplyDelete
  173. Mtatt, AND usually means to put things together

    ReplyDelete
  174. L17
+5 is used on which numbers?

    ReplyDelete
  175. AlphaOmega, you found the scientist and his Law. You know that word = sec. But you have different time periods. For instance if it is 24 sec, you have more than you need in 3 times (you need 8, remember?) So you divide your period in 3. Result +5 (according Law). 8 results ;)

    ReplyDelete

  177. Unknown...dont give up. If there is one thing that is for sure and certain, small-tool never worries if a big blab hint is given.

  178. Unknown, one more thing, Small-tool, unlike some riddle makers, really wants people to play his riddles. He is happy for hints to be given, small ones at first, but bigger ones if needed, and there are many playing here who will help. :)

number of chirps = amount of bees in each fat line (of 8)?

(even more confused - my brain doesn't seem to be adjusted for riddles LOL)

  180. AΩ, each line gives a letter. Line 1 has 16 words and 6 Bs. So it has 3 chirps per 8 seconds, now add 5, for H
