Pichi - As Austen said, enter the line of text that's on the level into your 10x10 grid. Start at top left and write across as normal omitting all spaces. You should end up with the period (dot) in the bottom right corner. That is your starting point.
ReplyDeleteBtw Congrats to all the finishers that I missed!!
Oh! Thanks! I was putting the alphabet hahaha silly me!
ReplyDeleteI finally had time to play the game on lvl 33.
ReplyDeleteNow of course stuck again at L34 - have all across (hopefully correct), but can't figure out 1,2,7 down (even with a crossword solver - seems to be language barrier)...
AΩ:
ReplyDelete1 down - think of a female domestic servant.
2 down - TV series set in space (1960s onwards)
7 down – American 1960s TV series starring David Janssen
was getting ready to post reply to AO but Austen beat me to it.
ReplyDeleteAusten, I need help with Lvl 39. Saw hints for read title different way; 5 letters; literal. ?? no help. Anything to do with four square cipher??
Pichi I apologise for not replying to your question but I had not noticed that the comments had gone to a new page.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the advice from Cee Bee has fixed your problem.
Patty split the first word 3-1 and adjust the last word accordingly.
ReplyDeleteAusten, thanks so much! Making it way too hard!
ReplyDeleteAusten no problem!
ReplyDeleteNow stuck in egg page, the problem now is that I do not pronounce: no idea, so I do not know two letters delete... Is: a-i?
No idea hahaha
Sorry! is lvl 30 in egg page
ReplyDeleteTrying to remember Pichi.
ReplyDeleteBack soon!
Pichi: Evidently in some parts of the world the word "idea" is pronounced as 'eye' 'dee' - does that tell you letters to delete?
ReplyDeleteThanks Cee Bee.
ReplyDeleteWas about to post.
Cee Bee I understand that the deleted: d-e
ReplyDeleteAnd I didn't see your post Austen, I thought you might have stepped away for a while :)
ReplyDelete'i' not 'e' Pichi - do you know what step to take next.
ReplyDeleteWell, I fill the grid with letters, but as I read here?
ReplyDeletePichi clue says NO idea small seems to think if he says it out loud then it says no ID go from there
ReplyDeleteYes, now is the time to do what you were trying to do earlier, but not with quite all of them.
ReplyDeleteDone thank you all!
ReplyDeleteSEEMS CAPS IS ALOUD AFTER ALL :P
ReplyDeleteLvl 31 some help? I cannot begin this, I do not know what to do
ReplyDeleteyou need to play Pichi see how the ball bounces off at the same angle it hits the cushion ,bumper etc
ReplyDeleteOR ALLOWED ALSO LOL
ReplyDeleteI play , but after the: P I do not know where I'm going. pam... pas... pat...
ReplyDeleteYou are looking for a 7 letter word Pichi.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct with p i (not a) and although it is a little difficult to follow the route you will get the word for the top of a small sharp object which can also be used as an insult.
Thanks Austen! Done!
ReplyDeleteomg, I've finished! I can't believe I finally managed...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Small-Tool, for those great riddles, I had a really good good (and hard ;) time, it's not a headache, but a migraine!
Please, make more such games!!!
Thank you all for the hints, I would never end it without your help.
Congrats Mako!!!! Well Done!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing Mako!!!
ReplyDeletewell done mako
ReplyDeletetoday I'm pretty on a roll (with several breaks) LOL
ReplyDeletealthough some brain fade at L39
what does it mean «adjust the last word accordingly»?
(1st word is splitted)
Alpha, just add one spce to the title and read it very literally
ReplyDeleteStuck in 32 I do not use the crosses, but I do not know how to use the zeros...
ReplyDeleteah, finally penny dropped, really very literally LOL
ReplyDeletethx Mako
pichi, use all but crosses, there's a cipher that looks similiar...
ReplyDelete& L41 easy as L1 ;-)
ReplyDelete(of SadisT)
ReplyDeleteI'm new to riddle games and have been relying fairly heavily on hints from others. I am stuck on L40, and the only comments I can find are about how easy that level is. So, for myself and anybody else out there that has been afraid to ask, can I have a hint for that level?
ReplyDeleteL40
ReplyDeletelook initially at what is written in pic
Annie: Everything is in the pic this time, remember Level 1
ReplyDeleteLol.. I was looking at the "outer" letters on the right and left edges, I never tried just first letters. I fool so feelish. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteL44
ReplyDelete5 letters, no granny, remember lvl 14 - L14 itself or egg (rotten way)? getting nowhere with that...
Alpha, i got very confused on 44. Turned out it was 1+1, then 2+2. Note that both words have five letters.
ReplyDeleteah, that was meant with adding together - thx @clio-rose
ReplyDeleteIn 32 egg page, I use the cipher but I get nothing, the answer is three letters?. because the cipher is one similar to. tic-tac-toe?
ReplyDeleteI need help
Pichi: To verify that you are using the right cipher, take a close look at the first line of the text on the egg page. Then use that cipher on the grid. You already said that you knew to ignore the X squares. Translate the other squares with or without a dot depending if they are blank or not. The answer is 6 letters. Granny will help you.
ReplyDeleteLvl 48.
ReplyDeleteDear University of N.A.S.A Brainiacs, Pls find enclosed, lvl 48. I would appreciate you printing this out on your 3D printer and returning it to me. I am prepared to pay the usual rate of 10c a copy, assuming it costs the same as a normal A4 copy. If your scientists wish to solve it and send it back with a line to follow, i dont mind at all. Thanking you in advance. Yours sincerely, Clio.
Clio Rose I know it looks daunting but it really isn't too hard.
ReplyDeleteThe best advice I can give is to look for dead ends and block them off at their start.
You will then find a clear path.
Thanks Austen. I will give that a go.
ReplyDeleteI'm back after a few days away from this torture- On level 35.
ReplyDeleteI think I have the method, I have a selection of 16 letters to ask granny about, but can't make an answer. One possible word is actually sixteen. Am I close or any clues
enzed. The answer is one word, which is 16 letters long.
ReplyDeleteMy anagram servers aren't finding one so I must have something wrong, unless its a Proper name?
ReplyDeleteno. Its not a proper word. Just a long one. I use this site. http://anagram-solver.net/
ReplyDeleteIf that doesnt work, check your letters again, maybe?
sorry. I mean its not a Proper Noun.....just a very long word.
ReplyDeletethanks for that- that's the third site I've tried and the first to give me the answer. My letters were correct I'm pleased to say
ReplyDeleteyayy.
ReplyDeleteL46 was a toughie... but finally got reward for perseverance LOL
ReplyDeleteL47
did JFGI (haha), but don't see any connections of the 7 names...
AΩ try doing first things first.
ReplyDelete@ΑΩ, don't pay attention to jfgi)) Google only for names in order to get an egg.
ReplyDeletewow, you guys still sticking around - thx :-)
ReplyDeleteI tried that already, but rechecked & now at L47 egg
(asking myself, what time 1366 could be...)
took a wild guess for that 2nd time - now L48
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletethx, Austen, googled the 2nd guy again & found the right time
ReplyDelete(I don't read Russian LOL)
Have fun in the maze AΩ!
ReplyDeleteL48
ReplyDeleteyou can talk... nothing for my poor spacial orientation... :-(
read the comments, but still getting nowhere...
(gibberish tannotsirwesnaehhettogo... haha - ???)
Alpha. Gee you are fast. Good luck with 48 maze. Thanks to Austen's hint, im looking at 49....and am too busy laughing at what i read, to actually think about how the heck this thing goes together. Its a job for tmrw i suspect.
ReplyDeletePosts for this level are spread out over several pages so to summarise:
ReplyDeleteBest method I've found is to start at a dead end, follow it back to a junction and block it off there.
When you have run out of dead ends there will be a clear path to follow.
well, it has very good hints for L47 & egg in comments - if you know what to do, it's always easier LOL
ReplyDeleteWanted to finish this weekend (no time during the week), but I presume, that the last levels have to wait till the next one (hopefully someone will still watch this space...)
Hi Clio Rose.
ReplyDeleteSo glad the hint worked for you.
For 49 the openings/walls on each side show which way to assemble the cube.
Each pattern only appears on two squares (once on each).
Yes I was sad and mapped it into Excel to check the correlations!
Hi Austen, i dont own a printer, i dont own a brain, dont know left from right..and dont even know what Excel is....but who cares? I will get there in the end. lol. As i said, i cant stop giggling at some of the things i can read in those separate bits. Im in no hurry to finish, so its all good as far as im concerned. Thank you for your help. I appreciate it very much.
ReplyDeleteYAY! only about half an hour for L48 :-D
ReplyDeletemy method that worked pretty quickly was to make a number grid at the sides 1-10 to see where to continue at the other half of cube
BUT:
Don't halloo till you're out of the wood!
L49...
still there, @clio_rose?
yep..and still giggling.
ReplyDeleteI hope you solve alpha. Im not going to even try this late at night. For me, its all about the fun...not necessarily the speed of solving. I just tootle along slowly...happily cheating off everyone's hints.
ReplyDeleteI can't even get the first level.
ReplyDeleteMake a bet you can, NotYou. I reckon, if you decided to think about say....A being = 1, B being = 2, C being = 3, i bet you could answer lvl one with the numbers given.
ReplyDeleteLevel 33 - I can't find an egg - I've tried many different things, and went through all the comments on the level but all I found is that egg has 4 letters. Could I have a hint please?
ReplyDeleteAnd I wasn't able to find an egg on level 30 either, but was able to finish anyway (thanks to comments). I wonder how to get that one too, so I will know one more trick to help me in levels to come.
I hope I am not to annoying with those detailed question, which answers seem obvious to most of you playing riddles.
And I also wonder what kind of updates were made to the game?
jas, i think the update was that it went back to the top of the games on EG24.......YAYYYY, and deservedly so.
ReplyDeleteLvl 33........if you mean the Ludo game. Im ever so sorry, but you genuinely have to play it. I had to go out and buy a travel ludo set..and even then, i had to put numbered sticky tape flags on the thingys. There is no clue i can give you. Im so sorry.
Jas to get the egg on 30 look at the grid as four 6x2 sections and translate with an alphabet which is used by those who cannot see.
ReplyDeleteJas, for the egg for 33 use the numbers ant the bottom of the page. Add them together and convert to letters.
ReplyDeletestill on L49...
ReplyDeletecoloured same sides with same colour, even printed out & tinkered, but all my paths are blind alleys & that can't be...
(oh, well, not motivated at all atm to start over...)
:-(
someone here who can check the side connections I made?
ReplyDelete(will post a screenshot then & delete afterwards)
AΩ have you figured out how the squares fit together to make the cube?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteRats!
ReplyDeletehave to go - so the last levels have to wait till next weekend...
Connections are ok.
ReplyDeleteWorking on good hint.
Hint is ready when you are AΩ.
ReplyDeletequick check - yes plz, Austen,
ReplyDeletemaybe I have some time left today, nevertheless
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletethx, Austen got it - now back to work - see you :-)
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDelete(just realized, that the only path I didn't follow yet, was going down from the start - d'oh!)
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, when you get the right hint you get the solution in a minute :)
ReplyDeleteClio-rose - thats great for the update! I think this game deserves five stars. The rating is probably due to some people that found it too hard and gave it low rating (which is not at all fair).
And I was asking for ludo, but how to get an egg. I got it now thanks to LinR. I was trying to apply those numbers all-over the page, but I didn't think of just adding them together.
And thanks Austen for level 30, it seems so simple now.
Now I will try to play ludo.

ReplyDeleteCongrats Chael and Makon :) Very well done, glad you liked it :)
ReplyDeleteJas,
To answer your question:
How long did it take to make all of these riddles?
Coming up with ideas is no problem at all. The problem (time consuming thing) for me is making the pics (don't have fancy programs to do so and if I would have, I wouldn't have any idea how to use them) and another problem is making texts/titles that are a bit funny and are containing hints as well (English is not my first language, lol, sorry again for the idea/ID thing).
Another time consuming thing is; I try to avoid anagrams (even when there are eggs using the same info as on the level) and that's sometimes a lot of work to find answers that will work on the level and on the egg. And the last time consuming thing is; I don't want to use gibberish (like most riddle makers do :P ) in texts and/or grids you have to pick letters from with a certain method. Lol, I actually take pride in trying to make the text/grid you pick letters from being a hint as well.
Anyway, all in all, it takes me about 3 months to make a 50 level riddle.
But...
That's not the end of the process. When the basic riddle is made I need my super great friends (can't emphasize enough how important and great they are). First of all Jonthewatch is then making my crazy ideas into real web pages and he makes it look really good and puts answer boxes on it, solves all kind of html/programming problems etc.
When that's done, my beta-testers, Edgar and Ellie are gonna play it (without any hints at all, till stuck for a very long time). Again, not only great riddlers, but the best testers you can wish for (not only playing to see if there are mistakes, but also checking if a level is under- or over-hinted and then not just saying that, but even giving advices how to hint more or less). Then I change levels according to their advices and then Jon has to change it again. Then the beta-testers do a final check and then (about another 3 moths later) it could be published if.... we didn't have to wait for Clio (rose) she always makes the congrats vids on my riddles with, what she thinks are, funny vids with her (again, what she thinks is funny) changed lyrics. And that takes about 6 months. So basically every half year a riddle could be posted, but it's now every year because we have to wait for Clio :P Lol, the only revenge we have is: She has to play all the levels to see her own vid :P
btw. go, go, go Alpha, you're doing really great on a totally new ball game for you, not escaping but riddling. Really hope you kept bookmarks or made notes to beat the the final bonus levels (lol, another riddle trick).
Oh wow Smoll-tool, that's impressive, and way more than I expected (I thought you will say something like two months). Respet to you and your helpers for all the hard work and brilliant ideas. I've noticed the complexcity of the riddles and all of the detailes that have to come together for them to make sence.
ReplyDeleteBy the way your english is great and just by reading it I would never thought you are not a native speaker (I'm not either and that IDea thing didn't give me too much trouble, after reading some hints of course, ha ha).
And thanks for the hints again, without them I wouldn't have gotten very far and would give up in one of the early levels.
didn't want to wait a week so close to the end, so stealed some working time... :-o
ReplyDeletebut: FINISHED!!! can't believe it!
almost gave up at L28 - so happy I didn't...!
TVM @small-tool, for this utterly brilliant game!
cock-a-doodle-doo
;-)
YAY! ! ! !
ReplyDeleteCongrats Alpha :)
Big cheers for AΩ.
ReplyDeleteWell done mate!
Yeah!! Congratulations AlphaOmega well done!!! Now you will have to go back and play the evil ones previous riddles. LOL
ReplyDeleteAlphaOmega (ΑΩ)! Yeaaaaah! Congratulationssss!! :)
ReplyDeleteWell done AlphaOmega!! Glad you stuck with it!! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteYayyyyy Alpha!! Congratulations on finishing.
ReplyDeleteHave you got to see your video yet Clio Rose?
ReplyDeleteAs if !! hahahahaha. I think lvl 49 will take a while. But, that's alright....eventually if i get fed up, I will whinge and whine or resort to force to get small-tool to chea....umm help me. lol.
ReplyDeleteIf you get really frustrated I can offer assistance.
ReplyDeleteAusten, you maynt believe this, but Santa really does exist !! I received an early Chrissie pressie via email, and it was a cube!
ReplyDeleteHello lvl 50, how lovely to meet you. hahahhaha
Level 34 - does anyone remembers which for the crossword is 5 word down: Circle shapes they have above their sacred head? I have all other words (hopefully correct) but can't find this one. Words like halo, glory, aurealis or nimbus don't fit in, is it supposed to be something else? Crown doesn't fit either. The letters I have are: _p_n_s
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie, I thought the word was anoter name for aurealis. And I saw I have a word wrong - wipe is not the right word for: 8) Lame television program to clean e.g. your hands. Can I have a hint for that word also, googling doesn't help much with this.
ReplyDelete@jas "**** Opera"
ReplyDeleteIf you live in the United States, think of a slang word for a weekday afternoon drama.
ReplyDeleteI could use help on L42. I have the egg, but I'm not sure how to apply it, or what to apply it to. Does the six-armed gal have an effect on how it's applied?
ReplyDeleteI am not from US, but thanks for help both of you - I found the right hand (and brain) wash now. Good night
ReplyDelete@Annie let me check that one out.
ReplyDeleteAnnie, Perhaps you should count some letters you may notice something familiar in the numbers . Smalltool likes certain numbers. And he is blackmailing to give hints LOL.
ReplyDelete@Annie ok, look at the pattern of text at the bottom of the page. Do you notice a pattern there?
ReplyDeleteAnnie. Use the egg to pick some letters.
ReplyDeleteYes, I found the egg, but I also googled the 6-armed lady image and was wondering if I'm supposed to add that to the sequence, or do I just use it in a straight sequence. or is that completely wrong. LinR said I should "count numbers" not sure what that means. Sorry, new to riddle games, don't know Smalltool's number preferences either.
ReplyDeletePeople should remember that Smalltool loves number ones LOL
ReplyDeleteAnnie. You found the egg now use that sequence to select letters . The word was written backwards so use that as a hint as to where to start to count. You are doing great!!
ReplyDeleteAnnie,
ReplyDeleteDon´t mind Lin, she thinks you haven´t found the egg yet. Sorry Lin, had to make that bad joke.
Do notice the word, answer you used to get the egg is backwards on the pic.
That´s a big hint to pikc letters from the text in a backwards way.
Don't mind Small Annie, he's in flirtation mode LOL
ReplyDeleteYayy. Just finished this magnificent riddle. Congratulations small-tool, jonthewatch and your beta-testers. What an achievement. You should be rightfully proud of this wonderful, funny, frustrating, and utterly brilliant riddle. Congratulations and thank you all so much.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone here for your hints and clues and help. I have used them, every step of the way. What a terrific bunch you all are.
Finally, i need to explain something to small. Dear dear small, I know you dont appreciate why it takes so long to make fake lyrics to songs...but let me explain the process. First i have to design, then construct a time machine to travel back and seek permission from the artists featured. This time Paul Simon wouldnt let me use 50 Ways to Kill a small-tool. So, it was back into the time machine...and tracking down Crazy Arthur. I eventually found him in Ward 3 of the Hospital for riddle survivors, sitting in the corner and sucking his thumb...poor chap. Anyhooo...after i got his very shaky X signature...it was back to the present. Give the time machine a wash and wax, then pack it neatly into the wardrobe. After that it was three minutes of writing, two minutes of emailing. Sorry it took so long.
Congrats Clio Rose.
ReplyDeleteDid you build your time machine into a DeLorean?
Yeah!! Clio!!! Congratulations and very well done. It was a fabulous riddle trip and you survived!!!!!!! Smalltool just doesn't understand the fine details of time travel. I'm so glad you have cleared those details up.!!!
ReplyDeleteAusten. yep..and i packed my hover-board just in case. lol
ReplyDeleteYAY, well done Clio, CONGRATS :)
ReplyDeleteBtw, maybe pick/use a modern vid/song the next time. Then you don't have to build a time machine and stuff, but way more important; if you do so, it won;t show your age :P
Lol, just kidding around. Kudos on finishing and big, big thanks for making that awesone vid/lyrics on the congrats page, you super duper very dear one :)
I hope to be a riddle survivor as well, even though I may end up being Crazy Arthur's wardmate.
ReplyDeleteI've tried just about every way to apply the F******** S*q***** from 13 to S-Ts apparent favorite, on the text above the egg pic, and still no word. Do I need grandma? ...so frustrated.
I like to use video's that remind you of your adulthood small. I mean, after all....it must be difficult to try to make a riddle when your drooling and having to have your nappy changed in the Twilight Home for Riddle-Makers. lol
ReplyDeleteAnnie. Yes you will need granny. Starting at the back....1 is 1, then 1 + 1 is second...and so on....so you need to ADD the next number to get the next letter.
Finally! I had been working with the text ABOVE the egg pic. and for a while wanted to use the Fib****** Spiral because of the first pic. Over thinking I guess. On to L43!
ReplyDelete...and thanks for all the help.
ReplyDeleteYeah Annie!! One step closer!!!
ReplyDeleteClio!! Congratulationss! :)
ReplyDeleteYAY!! Congratulations on finishing Clio!! Great job on the video too. I'm looking forward to the next one already!! :)
ReplyDeleteStuck at 47 Egg. Drew the clocks and arms, read all the comments, but no idea how to proceed. I read that 14:44 & 14:46 should give R's, but how?
ReplyDeleteZ have you tried reading the clock faces you drew as if they were semaphore signals?
ReplyDeleteThanks Austen, I'd never heard of them before!
ReplyDeleteAnother day at the office, another attempt to make slow progress on this riddle.
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck on a disgusting egg at level 41.
I used the code the egg man hints at to write the word, but I'm just not seeing what to do next. Any help around?
POP, I got it right after posting here.
ReplyDeleteAs a hint for 41 egg: remember what you had to do to get the word for the egg level, apply same methods.
Ok, now I'm stuck at 43 egg. I read the clue and counted the letters, don't know how to apply that to the table.
ReplyDeleteI read the hints here, but it looks like everyone else has had pretty smooth sailing through this stage, because I couldn't find any help as to what to do with the table now.
Unknown, I cant recall there being an egg on lvl 43. I thought it was read the grid in the directions we were told by text, then do the count, then check the required table and the number gave the answer. Im sorry, but i have no notes about there being an egg.
ReplyDelete43 egg just count how many
ReplyDeleteyes no egg just count then look it up on table
ReplyDeleteYeah, no egg, sorry. I was stuck on 42 egg for so long that I started to think there was an egg on 43 also. :)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking waaaaay too difficult on 43. I was trying to draw on the table, make grannies out of letters on the approximate locations of ms etc.
Thanks! :)
I made it to 45, and have no idea where to start with this one. My brain is fried.
ReplyDeleteI'll continue tomorrow.
Unknown, 45 is a very nice level.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all make basic riddling and get an egg. It will hint you how to get letters for the answer.
I agree with Fossa. I loved this level.
ReplyDeleteWith some delay yet reached the finish line. With mixed emotions, very happy, proud, grateful but also sad that it's really over now. Dear s-t and Jon, thank you for this great riddle, loved it, hated it and loved it again. Thanks all for the the great, helpful hints and special thanks to st for the final push and encouraging words.
ReplyDeleteWell done Dutchie for sticking with it and reaching the end.
ReplyDeletedutchie, yeaaaah! :)
ReplyDeleteLvl 36 I have 80.00% and 75.00% but the decimals I do not
ReplyDeletesomeone explain to me how I do this? Thanks
pichi, just count the letter when the pendulum stops. 75% is considered from the previous movement. The first move stops at the 20 letter, the next one (back) will be 15. So on...
ReplyDeleteFossa I did just that, but after the 73.33% I do not follow
ReplyDeletePichi round the number to the nearest whole number (it is very nearly there anyway) and carry on as you were doing.
ReplyDeletepichi, I divided 15 in 100 and then multiplied in 73,33. The resukt was 10,999 -> 11. Then I've got 6,998 -> 7 ;) What letters do you have now?
ReplyDeleteIs anagram? because I have nothing
ReplyDeletePichi it is not an anagram but is spelled out backwards.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the 1-st S!
ReplyDeleteThanks! On 37
ReplyDeleteStuck in 39
ReplyDeleteI divide the first word of title, but I can not read literally
I did not say anything, just post I have done! On 40
ReplyDelete41 in egg page, and I do not understand what I do with this blind man
ReplyDeletePichi look at the character inside the egg.
ReplyDeleteWhat written language is used by people who cannot see?
Use this language and adjust the dots the same way you moved the letters in the mirror.
I can not get: O and T
ReplyDeleteYou did not do anything to O or T so leave them as they are.
ReplyDeleteYou should have 7 letters to anagram (one for each letter in the mirror).
Oh!! Thanks Austen!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations dutchie. Yayyyyy
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that we need the red letters up to lvl 50 to solve this last one. Is that right?
ReplyDeleteI must have looked over a complete 4 letter word (I have 46 letters). Is there a way I can find them without replaying the whole riddle all over again?
Ok, back again.
ReplyDeleteI got the 45 egg and drew and got letters. Not sure what to do with those letters now. Have I perhaps drawn wrong letters? Should the answer be very obvious after having drawn?
Unknown, did you read them in the right direction?
ReplyDeleteZ, for 50 you need no red letters. Just find ann egg and then apply the second numbers for the first ones.
ReplyDeleteUnknown, in 45 if you drew right you got a sentence (read backwards).
Fossa, I already did that, and I think I subtracted those numbers every way I could think of. I must be overlooking something
ReplyDeleteDon't overthink. The second numbers are a method for the first ones. Take the first right number and look at the left numbers. After getting the method it appears to be a very simple level ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I seem to try to granny a lot in this game even when it's not necessary. The only trick up my sleeve, it seems. :)
ReplyDeleteI made it to 46, got a word out of it and used that to get a sentence. Now I don't know what to do with it. Haven't found the egg either.
Oh, 46 is the hardest level among 40-s, I suspect. If you did right with the pic's word to get letters from the text, you got 18 letters (3 words, not a sentence). They are for the egg and a hint at the same time.
ReplyDeleteAaaaaand done!! Great job S-T! Keep em coming please :)
ReplyDeleteStill completely stuck at 46. Saw the egg, didn't become any wiser.
ReplyDeleteI saw the hint about bi -> dec -> bi and then I should end up with 21 digits, but don't understand it. Is it the word in the pic I have to convert to dec?
Congratulations Z. yeahhhh!!
ReplyDeleteUnknown, This is what i wrote in my notes, after i got the egg. Use the 1's in the text, which gives three words. Then put the original 6 letter word into A=1. Then after finding the table you need it is then converting the A=1 numbers using the table which gives another set of 0's/1's. I suspect my explanation is a clear as mud. Perhaps Fossa or Z would be better at explaining.
Progress. Got the 21 digits people were talking about earlier.
ReplyDeleteNeed to work for a while, but at least now I don't feel as desperate as I did earlier. There's hope for me cracking this yet!
clio_rose
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was doing, I didn't understand what the "short" meant, but once I googled enough, I got it. Thanks anyway. I may be back begging for more hints later, for picking letters. :)
Yay, I finally made it to 47. Really gotta work now, I'll be back later and hopefully make it through the last levels today!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Dutchie and Z, good job :)
ReplyDeleteSolved 47, and I'm pretty sure 48 is going to be the end of me. My brain just doesn't process those changes in perspective all that well.
ReplyDeleteI got "the way to go is far" ... and only dead ends after that?
Unkown, Sorry cant really help. Austen told me to find all the dead ends and then block them off. Alpha said he numbered the sides and presumably top 1 -10. (i guess Alpha made a grid??, not sure). Good luck. Let me know if you cant get it. ...because i think i have a bigger hint.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate all hints, but I guess this is just one of those things where you simply have to figure it out yourself. I have managed to block some paths, but I still don't understand where it jumps after "the way to go". At least that part has to be right, right? :D
ReplyDeleteAre puzzles like this common in riddles? This and the shorter SadisT riddle are the only ones I've ever played, so I don't know.
Unknown....my hint is this. .....After you go in...turn left immediately. The first letter you should get is A.
ReplyDeleteUnknown, I had quite some fun with that level. What I did was construct a cube made out of the 6 sides and play it that way. To know which side goes where, follow the lines on the edges, they match.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! I had completely overlooked that there's a path there as well. The good thing is with all this hopeless staring at the cube I have started to get the hang of figuring out how the paths connect. :)
ReplyDeleteOooh two more people have finished since I last visted :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Ductchie and Z!!
Unknown, my spatial skills are limited too, so I had a tough time on this level. Adding to what has already been said..........Using the hints given this is what I did: I matched the sides and numbered them. There are six pairs. If you look at the two diagrams you will see that the right side of each has no openings, so those two sides are a match. Number the sides 1-6 going clockwise. Then number each channel on all sides 1-10. Once that is done you should be able to see where to jump to. Start at the IN arrow, go up and take the first exit to the left, the matching entrance on the right pic should give you an A - follow that path.
Oh too late :) ............. I need to learn to type faster LOL
ReplyDelete49 looks like it's arts and crafts time to me... Print, cut and paste. :)
ReplyDeleteUnknown, to answer your earlier question. I cant really say for sure what other riddles are like. I play small-tool's riddles because he lets everyone help and give open hints. I think other riddle-makers would call for the hanging-judge, with the questions i ask, and the hints i give.
ReplyDeleteWooo, I got lvl 49, and without resorting to scissors and glue!
ReplyDeleteI'm now on lvl 50 egg. I need a break and then I'll tackle the final level. I'm so happy I've limped forward even when it's seemed hopeless. :)
clio_rose, I never, ever could have made it without these hints. I think I'll search for earlier small-tool riddles to get a little practice before the new one comes at some point. After I've solved the last level of this one, of course.
I hope you do, Unknown. They were fun too. Once again, the comments are chokka-block with hints and help. Also, if you want, play Jonthewatch's teaching riddles. They got me started in how to even think about solving stuff.
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely check the teaching riddles, I need more ammo in my riddling arsenal.
ReplyDeleteAaaaaand I made it! Cool song at the end, too.
Thank you so much for everyone being so patient and kind with giving extra hints and of course small tool and jonthewatch for making this for us to enjoy :)
