    ReplyDelete
  4. Hi ST - must have missed those things!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Ah, number on painting is difficult to read, but changed the first digit until it was right. It's a 2.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Hi Clodagh :)
Anagram is used on the chest in one of the scenes behind the gate.
Sure wish I could find a map, it's a maze of scenes there.

    ReplyDelete
  7. And some creepy scenes too.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sword (from chest) is used to cut the ladder.
Ladder is used to reach te box a scene to the right (hint for that box is on the wall in one of those behind the gate scenes).

    ReplyDelete
  9. Arrow clue up on castle wall after you've gone through the gates and turned left.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Hammer is used on crack in the wall to get a shamrock jewel.
Btw, take the ladder back after you used it.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Another shamrock jewel using the ladder right and up from the scene where you use the hammer on the stone. Hunt among the flowers.

  15. Zoe, the clue for the six-letter word is on the signpost in the very first scene - think Ireland.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Zoe,
The clue for the 6 letter word is on the sign at the start (you will get a sword with that).

Tiny on the road in gate scene, a flute !

  18. Use the flute on the dolmen to get a goblet.

    ReplyDelete
  19. pour gross water on turtle!!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Poor water on turtle (one of the earlier outside scenes) to get the purple key.

    It's very tiny, Blooby.

    ReplyDelete
  21. The green glass to break for the third shamrock is in the water wheel scene.

    ReplyDelete
  22. sd from box in purple key room. Number is on a wooden post earlier

    ReplyDelete
  23. 4th shamrock from using sd on strange stone and stuck!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Thanks Clodagh and s-t...it was so obvious I missed it (the anagram word -lol)

    ReplyDelete
  25. In the purple key room, the place for the shamrocks (we need 5), the order for the symbols and a screwdrivewr from the 5 digit code.

    ReplyDelete
  26. 5th shanrock from cliking the symbols in the correct order (one of the scenes on the right behind the gate and there on a wall on the right, next to a door).

    ReplyDelete
  27. Placing 5 shamrocks gives green key and then you escape with an oldtimer car :)
    Very nice game :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. my place to put gems is just black - is that right???

    ReplyDelete
  29. scene with the water - for symbols

    ReplyDelete
  30. Shouldn't be 'all' black, but the slots to put the shamrocks are quite dark as well.

I guesss counted the mushrooms for nothing :P They're not needed.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanks for the location of the symbols ST.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I wanted to put the fungi in the cauldron!!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I know this is a daft question, but where is the door to get out?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Pretty game, thanks SD. and to s-t for the flute - beady eyes!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yes...place for gems is black...hunt and click, but not difficult. Great game!! Thanks for all the hints small-tooll!!!

Have to draw your own map this time. But still not hard.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Clodagh,
I think it was a door all the way left inside the house.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Clodagh - all the way to the left - the green door

    ReplyDelete
  38. Of course it was! Thanks ST - I'd forgotten that.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Oh, and thanks Janet too.

  41. ST oops ;-) - thank you for where the green symbol clue was - found the wall but not the clue

    ReplyDelete
  42. Also thanks SD, another great game - loved the scenery and music

    ReplyDelete
  43. I can't find anything...magic rocks, need coin and blue key.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Start with finding the blue key (hidden between one of the zoomed in mushroom spots).

    ReplyDelete
  45. Can't see any symbols in the room where we place the shamrocks. Whereabouts are they?

    ReplyDelete
  46. A paper in a drawer it was (I think, hoping memory still works).

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oh, found them! In the bottom drawer. Didn't realise there were two hotspots there.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thanks S-T

    ReplyDelete
  49. it was the flute comment that did it for me

    ReplyDelete
  50. *sigh*
Too small too see the clues and objects, too dark to see where to put things.
    As usual.

SelfDefiant is great at fixing mistakes, but not so good at learning from them.

Gorgeous game, worth loading just to walk around and look, but unplayable on your own.

For those who can't get the game to load or who are having a hard time seeing the numbers: http://www.melting-mindz.com/Abandoned-In-Ireland.swf

You still won't be able to see the flute or the spots where the shamrocks go, but you will at least be able to see some of the other spots you need to see.

    ReplyDelete
  51. where is the flute and screwdriver?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Flute is on the road where the gate is - look for very small brown object

    ReplyDelete
  53. From LNS earlier - sd from box in purple key room. Number is on a wooden post earlier

    ReplyDelete
  54. See the flute is nearly impossible...

    ReplyDelete
  55. Yes @HerpingtonVanDerpstra - I agree - And all the hints aren't any help as none of the things are where they should be - All I have is the blue key and the coin to the fellow - a sword and the ladder and a flower - Those I got before I came here for help - Another un finishable game for me

    ReplyDelete
  56. Did he have to use that particular leprechaun?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks selfdefiant, I'm home with the flue, this is just what the Dr. ordered.

    ReplyDelete
  58. adivawoman - aww - so sorry just when the weather is getting nice here - finally - you're sick

    ReplyDelete
  59. Finding where to put the 5 Clovers was just blind luck. Way to dark.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Great scenery! Thanks SD

    ReplyDelete
  61. My problem seemed to be not knowing what a dolmen was. Had to look it up.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Thanks everyone, I'm sorry that I can only read certain comments. Some I have to skip by. Remember when the whole background was a hotspot and the hand never changed. That made the games hard. If anyone thinks the games are hard they should try the old ones.

  64. Oh, a lovely picture of Arlington Row, Bibury at the end! Very nice.

Thank you for the hints, I was so puzzled, at first, about where the shamrock jewels went .

    ReplyDelete
  65. @ Selfdefiant: I use Chrome on my iMac and I never have any hotspots in your games. This makes is impossible to finish without heavy help from other players. I like your games, but I must say it is very annoying.

    ReplyDelete
  66. SD - well hope you can read this comment. Thank you over and over again for your games. For making them, for listening to us, for "adjusting" them when needed. I've played every single one of them and am grateful for the countless hours of entertainment and challenge you've given. Appreciate you. Hope you and yours have a Happy Easter.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Hi SD

I don't know what has changed, your end or mine, but this is the second of your games I have actually been able to play, after a long period of them crashing my flash player.
If you've fixed something then thank you!

Hope I've not just tempted fate for the next one

    ReplyDelete
  68. I've zoomed and gone over every pixel in the gate scene and not flute. Only found blue key and coin. Giving up.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Herpington Van Derpstra:

    I CHALLENGE YOU RIGHT NOW.
MAKE A GAME THAT WE CAN "EVALUATE" AND THEN YO WILL BE ON EQUAL GROUND

    ReplyDelete
  70. I am SICK of your "sighing" and criticizing someone who gives us really great games!

MAKE A GAME, DERPSTRA. MAKE A GAME THAT WE CAN EVALUATE..

    OR SHUT UP.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Thank you, small-tool for the flute hint!

    ReplyDelete
  72. How do I collect water for the turtle? And if it's some sort of bowl, where do I find it?

    ReplyDelete
  73. And how do I get behind that "strange stone"? Neither my hammer nor my sword do something.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I think I'm stuck in the same place as SarahB
I have nothing to collect water in ....

    ReplyDelete
  75. Play the flute at the special stones for goblet

    ReplyDelete
  76. You need the flute (found in the road by the gates opened with the gold key) to get a goblet from the large "special" stones

  80. The flute was easy to miss and it wasn't obvious where to use it and having two hot spots in close proximity in the purple key room was somewhat fiendish, but this was yet another fantastic, ingenious and challenging (and free!) Selfdefiant game, with plenty to explore and lots of different puzzles. Very enjoyable. It is great that you can take a break and return later just where you left off.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Love to know what part of Ireland all these scenes are from?

    ReplyDelete
  82. For any late players who can't find the flute, and since no one actually explained that you can't find it until after opening the gate - give coin to leprechaun above barn scene (hiding in barrel) for gold key, open gate in scene 2 up from start and flute is on the ground.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Always such a nice music and views, thanks)

    ReplyDelete
  84. lol then where is the coin? can't find that either, actually couldln't find anything but the key at the mushroom screen.

    ReplyDelete
  85. SD,please avoid or make anagrams easier, lots of us dont have so much knowledge of english, and because of that detail we can´t finish some of your nice games.TY

    ReplyDelete
  86. Great game once again Selfdefiant! I loved the underground scene with the mushrooms, VERY cool background there! I must agree with enzed above about the actual game play. This is the first one in a couple months that my flash player didn't crash on, everything was smooth right through from start to finish! Is there something new going on on your end? Thank you again for all that you do for us! :)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Yes, one of the advertisers was causing the problem, but not for everyone. We got rid of them so all should be good now. :)

    ReplyDelete
  88. Im wih you 100 % Zoe
HVD...I you dont like the games dont play

    ReplyDelete
  89. Great Game SD, As Usual :)

    ReplyDelete
  90. FYI: If you have trouble seeing the detail in games like this try increasing the brightness setting of you monitor. If your computer has it, try temporarily disabling the 'eco' energy-saving mode. It will make those sneaky hotspots much easier to see.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Self Defiant...Your games are genius! They are totally playable without help but I do need a hint occasionally. That's the idea of a good challenging game...I love the anagrams...pleas don't take them out..
I just recently started playing and I think I have played most all of your games. This is m first comment bc its the first one that was from 2015. I started from the beginning.
Keep up the good work! I enjoy your sneaky games immensely! And I dig your regular commenters too! Thanks again

    ReplyDelete
  92. I remember playing this one when it first came out!
