    ReplyDelete
  8. very, very good friends

    ReplyDelete
  9. I have no idea what to do on maze page. Can't seem to get anywhere on any of the paths

    ReplyDelete
  10. This looks like fun but so far I haven't been able to get started. Hints appreciated!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Basic riddle skills are needed for this one. Look everywhere to get started. Highlight pages, first things first and so on.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I sure wish I "got" these riddle games.
Makes me sad that I never will. If I ever do, boy to I have alot to catch up on, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  13. @Motely, you have to find and collect eggs, Have You Noticed First Things First?

    ReplyDelete
  14. @Myrdlebp, if you wish to give it a try I'm sure there'll be good help around.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Thanks! I always get the wrong wording, that's why I'm such a google search failure as well! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  16. What a nice Easter gift Dutchie - Thanks so much!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. @verito - I have no idea what you mean. Guess it's time to give up! Thanks anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yeah, Imma point-n-click kinda girl, I guess.

Tried "surprise", easter, easter egg, instructions, smalltool...grasping at straws! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  19. Motely, Don't give up!!! Sometimes the other pages in a riddle have hotspots you can click on.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Motely, there are many players here to help. Just ask a question for what you need, someone will help walk you through it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. To highlight a page, use ctrl A, try every page, you should see where to "start"

    ReplyDelete
  22. @Motely, you got to the maze page, so you have the maze and you have something else on its left. ;) If you start with the text, What Could I Mean By First Things? *hint, hint*

    ReplyDelete
  23. Very Challengeing I loved IT THANKS

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ok..I finally get First Things First, but what I don't understand is how I would even know to look for that. I have to leave. Maybe later I will come bak and see if I can figure anything else out.

    Thanks for the help.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It's a bit of traditional riddle tricks, once you've tried to solve a couple of riddles, "first things first" is always what you first look for LOL what about if you try the contrary too now?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Look at the instructions..... try counting too :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. I've found 4 eggs in the maze so far...
-Some of the letters in the maze you can't reach. What can you make from those you can?
    -First things first...
    -...then Last things last.
    -A = a A bee = b A bee, see? = c This hint makes no sense, Xaq! = f

Running out of ideas for where to look for eggs, though.

    ReplyDelete
  28. xaq, try counting some things in the text

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi xaq, well done! have you counted too?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ohh, sorry Donas! Oh well, count something else then! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  31. Already counted the words to get one of the eggs....not seeing what else I could count.

I'll come back to this later after doing some other stuff to cool my brain off.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hello, I'm joining in, let's hunt! ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ

    ReplyDelete
  33. Good to see you here as well Mako :)
    Go, go, go :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'm on the maze. The only thing I see to count is red x's.????? Help! I need a better hint. I don't understand the whole "first things first" clue!!! :(

    ReplyDelete
  35. SSS Girl,
'First things first' is a riddle term, often used to look at first letters. Like the first letters of words or sentences.
And with counting you can, for exampele count words in a sentence or count letters in special words.

    ReplyDelete
  36. First things first usually refers to picking the first letter of things and then anagramming them to find a word. Sometimes it is the first word in a line or sometimes a sentence and sometimes a group of words. The same trick can be used using the last letter of words.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Aaauuuggghh!!! It was that simple!!! Thanks s-t :) :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. And thanks LinR too. :)
I have 1 and 5 now, probably the easy ones. . . come on brain, WORK! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  39. I got 4 the easiest eggs so far, great fun! Three more, one rotten -
    =͟͟͞͞≠⌓̈⃝\ᵒᵐᵍ seems hard

    ReplyDelete
  40. Gonna let this one lie for a bit. Have spent an hour on it now and my brain is mad at me, started cursing in foreign languages and such. Not giving up, just taking a break!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Wondering what you call 'the easiest' eggs :P

    ReplyDelete
  42. Found another egg! X marked the spots I needed to count this time.

Now for those last two eggs...hopefully I remember not to smell the rotten one.

    ReplyDelete
  43. xaq, I found one by describing something odd on the maze signs

    ReplyDelete
  44. There are a lot of X's on that page, some in the maze, some in text, they will all lead to as hiding place one way or another.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Thanks for "x" hint, now 6 eggs, probably the rotten one, maybe I should use my nose?

    ReplyDelete
  46. I mean "rotten one left"

    ReplyDelete
  47. Donas - I'm not seeing anything odd about the signs... o_O?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Lol Mako, you better not use your nose. You are doing great, with the 6 good eggs you can solve the riddle using the rewards.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm starting to feel like an idiot. I can't even get started. I've tried all the obvious stuff (and yes, I pushed the red button. It seemed the right thing to do at the time). I'm not getting anywhere. Read through start and and instruction pages again and again, looked for anagrams in the capital letters etc etc etc. Can someone give me a little push to get started?

    ReplyDelete
  50. There are more rotten eggs. But only one of them is important. And it's obvious when an egg is rotten or not.
But anyway, you need 6 real eggs and one of the rotten ones.
At first, that is, because when you think it's over it might not be over yet :P

    ReplyDelete
  51. xaq, try describing the letter that is different

    ReplyDelete
  52. Siegy, use Ctrl-A on the pages and look carefully, you will find where to start.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Are the good eggs 1-6? I'm missing 4, maybe I got one rotten?

    ReplyDelete
  54. ...Okay, that takes care of the rotten egg. XP Now to find the last FRESH egg...

    ReplyDelete
  55. Aaargh! Thanks dutchie. Now I feel like a REAL idiot. I'd already done that and was spending my time looking for something in the "wide, open spaces". Grrrr. Onward.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Mako,
For now, the numbers you see are not important.
Maybe that's more fun for later.
Just keep on finding eggs till you got 6 good ones. And then do something with the given texts.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Focus on the reward pieces, the numbers are not important (right now)

    ReplyDelete
  58. Mako, you need 4 eggs from the maze, 2 good and 2 rotten, and 4 eggs from the text. The numbers don't identify the eggs.

    ReplyDelete
  59. If you count a position of one important word in the sentences, there is something connected with the subject, but backwards - is it a coincidence? I got 4 eggs from the text and 2 from the egg, so I know where to look for them, thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Wait...there's *EIGHT* eggs!? I thought it said there were only seven! D:

    ReplyDelete
  61. A wee bit of a clue for what to do after the blasted red button? I told ya, I don't get these at ALL!

    BTW the ctrl+a help(s)ed! TY

    ReplyDelete
  62. Myrdle - First things first - as perhaps the first letter of a sentence?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Xaq, there are 6 good eggs and 2 rotten ones but only one is important.

    ReplyDelete
  64. xaq, there are 2 rotten eggs, but you only need 1 of them

    ReplyDelete
  65. myrdlebp, with Ctrl-A you should be able to find where to start, look carefully.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Oh, okay. (WHEW.) Well, going by what you said earlier, then, the last fresh egg is still in the maze somewhere....hrm.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Okay, I tried nparb, no dice. Highlighted the page and I must be blind. The only thing I can tell is different is part of the back button which takes me to START.

Best I just stay away from these since I suck at 'em! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  68. Ouch so sorry Myrdle - I thought you were past the dreaded red button - Do Control A on the instructions page - you will see something that wasn't there before

    ReplyDelete
  69. @myrdlebp, you did right apparently, you should be seeing something, did you "select all", ctrl-A, not just highlight? (the only thing that I can think of that could be failing.)

    ReplyDelete
  70. The position of numbers - it must mean something, but I'm not sure how to place them on the eggmaze

    ReplyDelete
  71. I thought that too Mako, but it is the wrong track. Try to make sense of your reward clues, google will help. Use the numbrs later.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Numbers are not important to solve the riddle. You will need them later.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Okay, I'm lost. I found the egg in the maze that corresponds to all the letters you can reach from the start, but I'm not getting the slightest hint of another egg in this. :[

    ReplyDelete
  74. I'm stuck too xaq, I think in the same place

    ReplyDelete
  75. @Verito, yup! I did the ctrl+a, for some reason the page won't let me right click and Select All. Have NO idea why.

This is about the 3rd or 4th time I have tried this type of game, sure wish I could get the hang of it.

Thanks for trying to help! :D Ya'll have fun! Too frustrating for me.

    ReplyDelete
  76. You will find 6 letters in maze but use them twice. First all six and then minus one.

    ReplyDelete
  77. OH! And to verify, I am past the Red Button, I'm on the 2nd(?) with the chicken video.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm doing something wrong here- I found 2 eggs which led me to the "Well done, you found all eggs and solved the Easter riddle" page

    ReplyDelete
  79. myrdlebp, once you find an egg, go back to the maze page and look for more, save the egg you found for later

    ReplyDelete
  80. I did that earlier, so I still don't know how to get the rotten eggs.

    ReplyDelete
  81. ...Oh.

Okay, on to making an omelet out of all these eggs, I guess...

    ReplyDelete
  82. Lol, then you kind of Bruteforced it @Enzed, but won't help you to find the real end :P

And in the maze: to find the other egg; dead is not the end, but the start of finding 5 other letters.

    ReplyDelete
  83. @Donas727 LMAO here! MAZE? I can't find my way out of a paper bag, obviously!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Mako, for one rotten egg, look at the exit signs, one letter looks different on five of them, describe it (colorletter)

    ReplyDelete
  85. Ok, now the congrats page and some ♬°⋆ɱUSյ͛ʗ⋆°♬ to listen but no rotten eggs so far

    ReplyDelete
  86. myrdlebp, LOL! Thank goodness Dutchie didn't torture us with a maze we had to struggle out of, just look at the letters at the exits :)

    ReplyDelete
  87. @myrdlebp, I thought you were at the "instructions" page!! not at the page after the red button, I think I misunderstood you, the vid of the red button is for the LOLs, on the startpage you have the "instructions" button!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Well, I got the golden egg and a message "Have a nice breakfast with all the eggs you found :)" so maybe I should have skipped the rotten ones!
I only got one (thanks Donas), so maybe I'll try to find the other.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Did you open the golden egg, Mako ?

    ReplyDelete
  90. Congrats Mako! anagraming one of the good maze eggs will give the other :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Well, I made it to the exit (I really DID have to make an omelet out of those eggs! O_o; ), now to crack what the ending message hints at.

I'm guessing this is where those numbers finally come into play?

    ReplyDelete
  92. Yep Xaq,
Go for the real ending now and after that, unwrap your present :)

    ReplyDelete
  93. got it (all 8)
Thank you all for all your help and hints and thank you Dutchie, it was a real fun and surprise ღԵհɑղƘՏღ( ؔ✪̤ ◡ ؔ✪̤` ๑)

S-t: Not yet, I'll save it for later!

    ☆вуe вуe☆

    ReplyDelete
  94. Glad you liked it Mako, thanks :)

    ReplyDelete
  95. ...Okay, I'm having no luck wrapping my head around what it means by taking a closer look at these things...I mean, there's names that go with them, but all that applying the numbers to those gets me is an unusable jumble. :[

    ReplyDelete
  96. The numbers will tell you what letter to pick from names.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Maybe you have one or two names that are not the right ones and may be giving you the wrong letters? Did you make sure to get the right names for those versions? Other than that you shoud be right.

    ReplyDelete
  98. AH! That was it! I had 2 of the letters wrong (oddly enough, both wrong letters were U's instead of what they should have been).

Golden Egg get, unwrapped, and DONE! :D :D :D

    ReplyDelete
  99. Yay, congrats xaq, well done :)

    ReplyDelete
  100. Congrats xaq! well done :)

    ReplyDelete
  101. I have a question.

This is one that I often have when a Selfdefiant game comes out.
As a game maker, how does it feel to have your work "picked" so quick? I know this has to be a time consuming venture and then to put it "out there" and have a swarm of vultures swoop down and filet everything into the open....

Even though it's not my cuppa tea as a game, thank you for the time you have put into it. You will never have to worry about me exposing any riddle secrets! LOL

    Good job!

    ReplyDelete
  102. @myrdlebp, thank you for your kind words. I don't see myself as a real game maker lol. It was just a riddle meant for fun and I had fun making it. I don't mind some players solved it so quickly. I know xaq from other riddles, he is a very experienced riddler and Mako seems to be a very clever riddler also. I hope you don't give up on riddles. Jon and smalltool both made learning riddles, maybe you should try them.

    ReplyDelete
  103. You bewdy, dutchie. Perfect present for Easter Monday. With my skills at chea...err ..reading the hints here, I might even finish before Easter next year. (with luck).

    ReplyDelete
  104. Ok, finally got past the instruction page, using the CtrlA...thanks for that hint everyone. Should i CtrlA on every page? ..oh i will, just in case. No need to answer that. A maze? arghhhh.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Thanks Dutchie. That was fun. Thank you all for the hints and help, everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  106. @ myrdlebp Riddle makers fall into two categories, the ones that don't want you to finish and the ones that want you to enjoy the game. We, the DS, want games to be fun so we allow hints and help people play and enjoy the game. All riddles made by the DS team are meant for fun and big hints are allowed. I allow complete walkthroughs of my riddle....answers to every level....sometimes I even give a button to push to show the answer. I prefer it when Clio does a walkthrough though as she is always funny with her words.....these games should be fun and a team effort. Go EG24! Solve these games, but, as always.....Good luck and have fun!

  110. Up to six eggs now - 3 good from text, 2 good from maze and one rotten from maze. In text, have 1st, last, counted. What else am I missing?

    ReplyDelete
  111. Janet you need one more from the text. Each sentence has a word that has something in common. You should expect it to stand out. They all have something exactly the same.

    ReplyDelete
  112. From comments, think I have to count something more in the text - have tried the position of words with a "certain letter" in them and the position of the "subject" of the puzzle in the sentences. Neither seemed to get me anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Got it - certain letter but number of letters too

    ReplyDelete
  114. Janet, look for a specific word in each sentence and then do the counting. Like Lin said, they all have something eXactly the same.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Thanks Lin... Now my rotten egg was a green one with the #2 - said no reward. Do I have to find the other rotten egg too?

    ReplyDelete
  116. Lol my comment is too late but Yay Janet :)

    ReplyDelete
  117. Appreciate you being here dutchie ....

    ReplyDelete
  118. Think I do need the other rotten egg... ;-(

    ReplyDelete
  119. You have 6 good eggs now I think, now use the reward pieces to solve the riddle.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Yes have the six good eggs and the accompanying phrases. Trying to make a sentence?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Yes, just google some keywords.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Thanks - on to bonus level

    ReplyDelete
  123. Know I must have some of the letters wrong

    ReplyDelete
  124. Back to the videos again

    ReplyDelete
  125. Janet are you taking letters from the right thing?

    ReplyDelete
  126. Janet, use the numbers to pick letters from names of artists and anagram the letters to find a word.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Arrgh - artists not song titles!! Back to the videos

    ReplyDelete
  128. I am obviously doing something wrong. I put an answer in the URL and I get nothing. Not able to do ANYTHING WITH THE MAZE.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I took the first letter of each sentence and got T*eh**t - Put that in the URL and zippo

Then I took the letters by the exit signs and that spelled a work and still nothing

    ReplyDelete
  130. Remember no capitals or spaces EnJoy

    ReplyDelete
  131. Thank you ST - took a looong break, came back and still wondered why my "six letters" made no word. Then remembered you said we would need six real eggs and one of the rotten eggs. Out now...

    ReplyDelete
  132. YAY - well done Janet!!............ congrats to all the other folk who finished too :)

    ReplyDelete
  133. Thanks Dutchie for a great riddle and to Lin for helping me. And of course, to all the other escapers who left hints

    ReplyDelete
  134. Yeah Janet!!! Well done!!! Congratulations!!

    ReplyDelete
  135. I can't seem to get past the extra level. I think I found all the eggs, but other people seem to be putting numbers to them and mine aren't numbered at all.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Anysia - if you've found all the eggs and have put together the phrases to get the next to last clue, you'll be on the screen that says Congrats. To solve the bonus level, go back to each of your egg screens. Remember what you did on the Instructions page to find the Start button? Do it on each egg page and numbers will appear.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Janet- Thank you so much! I don't know how I missed that!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  138. Well, it's a wrap! (or unwrap) Thank you dutchie for a great game.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Congratulations Anysia!!!!! Well Done!!!

    ReplyDelete
  140. YAY Anysia!! - Well Done!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  141. Congrats Janet and Anysia, well done :)

    ReplyDelete
  142. I can't believe I made it out and it didn't even take a whole week!

Thanks for all the hints, guys. I'm starting to get how these riddles work after struggling through ST's 50 shade, but couldn't have made it without all the help from you. :)

And especially thank you dutchie for creating the riddle for our entertainment! :)

    ReplyDelete
  143. Congrats Unknown, well done! Keep riddling :)

    ReplyDelete
  144. Yeah, Unknown!! Congratulations on finishing!!

    ReplyDelete
  145. Don't know if you will see this, Dutchie, but I just played through this despite it being totally the wrong time of year for it. It was very clever and well-made :) Would love some more seasonal riddles from you in the future!

I think I'm all riddled out for now, so I will carry on with my point and click games until the next big riddle game drops!

    ReplyDelete
  146. got 5 real eggs and a rotten one (r**x). I know I have to find 5 other letters in the maze, but there are much more with a dead end. help, please :)?

    ReplyDelete
  147. @Abraxxass - not sure if you're still here! Do you have the 6-letter egg from the maze? If so, take those letters to Granny again, but don't include the one that's near the sign without the r**x. That should give you your final egg.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Just before easter this year.
The video of two eggs was deleted, but confirmed the egg which shined.
I had a very nice time.
    Thank you for Dutchie.

    ReplyDelete
  149. How refreshing to find this riddle (after SUFFERING) through 60 levels of Cipher Crack the code and return to EG24 and this delightfully entertaining, breath of fresh air! So I'm a few years late, and a couple videos missing. Still enough with wonderful hints from folks here to solve. Thank you for restoring my faith in fun that riddles can be!

    ReplyDelete
  150. Haha! Never trust a rabbit with a mallet :) Thank you Dutchie and a (very) belated Happy Easter to you!
