    ReplyDelete
  85. Graham, look at the flipped backside of the hint with the months.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Hi everyone, I was always behind you so I couldn't help in any way (but needed a help twice, thanks). Now I'm just missing the peridot which surely will come from the 4#-box in V.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Thank you pdgph!!!!
sorry can't remember where I have found the gold key.

    ReplyDelete
  88. thanks merineith! I thought that was the candle hint

    ReplyDelete
  89. Just need peridot - could it be where the shaft is missing a handle in B? Tried everything

    ReplyDelete
  90. pdgph, that wasn't the peridot in the morgue but don't remember which it was. You don't need to play the piano today but just open one of the keys with the sd. You'll get a key (maybe the gold one)? I didn't note things until I found the map.

    ReplyDelete
  91. it's not in there merineith, but look again at the numbers on top right of note on piano and do math

    ReplyDelete
  92. peridot is not in number box?

    ReplyDelete
  93. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  94. the peridot IS in open mortuary drawer, in bottom right

    ReplyDelete
  95. I'm in the peridot club. Ran out of notes of stuff I'm missing.

    ReplyDelete
  96. any help on peridot please?

    ReplyDelete
  97. DOH!!!! Of course I had opened that box ages ago and forgot about it! I would have known Beethoven's birth and death dates by heart... Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  98. the peridot is in the morgue. use light - click in dark open drawer

    ReplyDelete
  99. Can anyone remember where the Ruby is?

    ReplyDelete
  100. Thanks, Hotz. I was trying so hard with the lantern, I didn't notice what was always there. out.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Thank you Hotzenplotz, but then there were two gems in that drawer? I could have sworn I had used the lantern in it before and found something. If so, SNEAKY!

    ReplyDelete
  102. One of the red gems (ruby or garnet) was from placing the book in the library shelf. Make sure you've entered the password for the key first.

    ReplyDelete
  103. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Jim, ruby was in that room with the bottles, somewhere in the bottom row. Keep on clicking like mad.

    ReplyDelete
  105. The silver key was in the drawer with the lantern. Most of us stopped looking at that point.

    ReplyDelete
  106. in J in this morgue drawer, there was a key and the peridot

    ReplyDelete
  107. @josh,

Thank you for the screwdriver !

    ReplyDelete
  108. That's right, Mer. It was on the bottom row. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Got wand and out! Thanks all!

    ReplyDelete
  110. Lurker, it was the garnet. And IIRC you got the red key from the book with the password and needed that to get into the room with the books, so there's no danger.

    ReplyDelete
  111. TY so much meritneith !

    ReplyDelete
  112. Did anyone else yell a bit when they bought the map? And I was going to comment how easy this one was to navigate pre-map. Thank you for the travel crystal, SD!

    ReplyDelete
  113. And out after fuzzing around with the gems (but after a few of those games I remember some months). Great pleasure to have solved the rest with your company!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Lurker, I was more happy when I had the orb jar as I knew I would need the lantern badly.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Thanks everyone great game!

    ReplyDelete
  116. thanks everyone! Out now.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Still need help with the box in AP, can't figure it out :/

    ReplyDelete
  118. That was an intense awesome game once again! Thanks Selfdefiant! And thanks once again for making it so you can just touch the orb to collect it and not have to click. Always a blessing! :)

    ReplyDelete
  119. @M Dalberg: look at the flipboard in H. June is red. September is green and November blue. Just use the number of the months

    ReplyDelete
  120. DOH......thanks, feel a little dumb! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  121. That was thoroughly enjoyable, thanks Selfdefiant!
    Well worth waiting for!

    ReplyDelete
  124. Sorry, I meant "the hint".

    ReplyDelete
  125. Thank you Selfdefiant that was the best game ever!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  126. pdgph, the symbols are: crowns, helmet and horses

    ReplyDelete
  127. Thank you Selfdefiant that was the best game ever!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  128. @Hotzenplotz,

Thank you.... but that's what I did (I even tried with the other set of crowns, and from bottom to top...).

    ReplyDelete
  130. Where is the hint for the box in J?

    ReplyDelete
  131. sorry pdgph, I was away for some minutes. rotate the rings, so the symbols are between the 2 triangles.

    ReplyDelete
  132. @mel hint in H return month paper on wall

    ReplyDelete
  133. @ Hotzenplotz,

Thank you again, but that's what I've done...

    ReplyDelete
  134. pdgph, click in the middle - that did the trick for me!

    ReplyDelete
  135. I mean after rotating!

Selfdefiant, thank you for another great game!

    ReplyDelete
  136. @meritneith,

Thank you ! Finally it worked ! I was stuck because apparently nothing happens when we rotate the rings !

    ReplyDelete
  137. My pleasure, I tried a hundred times too. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  138. help please,
don't get black key, read above that a book is necessary but... don't found this book !

    in what room please?

    ReplyDelete
  139. OK, forgot to give the ring to ghost lady in W, got finally the book

    ReplyDelete
  140. seb, you will get the book by giving the woman the bracelet with 3 opals..

    ReplyDelete
  141. There is an orb in AL you can't take.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Best game in a long time (thank gosh for the teleporting orb). I had problems finding the ghost girl until I started clicking around in Room X, had been everywhere looking for lighter and what do do with mirror. Thank you SD

    ReplyDelete
  143. Amethyst is NOT in AR. After lighting candles I got a key or a green gem for bracelet, can't remember which. Can't find amethyst anywhere!

    ReplyDelete
  144. As usual, I had a problem with something that everyone else probably found to be obvious. For placing the stones in the portrait of June, start in the upper right corner with January and place them in order of the months of the year ( not the order on the clipboard). When you start in the upper right corner, June (pearl) fits under the word "June" on the frame.

Great game @SD - one of your best!!!

    ReplyDelete
  145. @Jenny, I've closed the game now so can't really help, but did you look everywhere using the lantern? I think at least one gemstone (and a jade and maybe a key) were found this way.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Thanks anyway ZOZ, yep I have looked everywhere and done all the puzzles. Very frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
  147. and POP there is was on another page in my inventory. DUH.
Thanks for all the wonderful clues left here and for GREAT GAME!
    Self Defiant you rock!

    ReplyDelete
  148. Graham at 9:30 am says that Amethyst comes from lighting the five candles (very near the end).

    ReplyDelete
  149. A couple of things that had me a bit confused: The doors with green and red lights in AP were apparently opened once all the levers/switches were pulled. As for the gold key, I never found it, but when I went back to that door after getting the purple key, it said "the key is purple"

    ReplyDelete
  150. I agree with you guys - this was one of the best games yet!
It took me quite a while to finish (all-thought I was also doing other stuff since I started playing). I found the book password the hardest - because I was over-complicating stuff, I thought it was a riddle :)
Thanks for all the awsome games Selfdefiant!

  153. Thanks everyone!!! I fixed the blue door. :)

    ReplyDelete
  154. Could anybody please give a hint for the 4 digit box in V ?...

    ReplyDelete
  155. I agree, it's one of Selfdefiant's best, but I' m stuck with chess circle. I put queen, queen, knight, horse and horse and it doesn't work. Then I changed queen with king, still nothing and still stuck.

    ReplyDelete
  156. for code in V look at partition on piano in U
click on little letters up right and read 1770+1827...

    ReplyDelete
  157. for chess circle
top is black crown, then white crown, black knight, white horse, black horse (according hint in Z)

    ReplyDelete
  158. Nice one, loved it! thanks SD

    ReplyDelete
  159. WEll, I got to the chess wheel and aligned all the pieces up between the two grey arrows like this: black king, white king, black knight, white horse, black horse, and clicked the middle and nothing happened. I tried it about 20 times....getting frustrated!

Also, can't find the black key, but that might come after I do the chess wheel puzzle...if anyone is still here, can you give me some insight on what I'm doing wrong with this ******* wheel??
    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  160. @ seb,

Thank you. I didn't notice these numbers because I can hardly see them ! They are written much too small !

    ReplyDelete
  161. pgdh: when you click on the upper right where there are teeny tiny numbers that you can barely see, in the writing comments below it says the numbers, and you add them....spoiler below:

    1770 + 1827 = 3597

    ReplyDelete
  162. What's the clue for the 6-digit box in room J?
I thought it was the date from the ghost's journal, but my journal disappeared after I entered the password and I don't remember what it said.

    ReplyDelete
  163. I figured it out, somehow, I just repositioned the two kings and it finally opened....whew!

    ReplyDelete
  164. The 6-digit box in room J, is not the journal date. The clue is on the back of the clipboard (with the gem stone list) in room H.

    ReplyDelete
  165. India-Indie - In room H there is a clip board on the wall. Flip that board over and you see white numbers and white lines. Follow the white lines starting with #3 for the six digits. Spoiler below if you don't want to figure it out:

    3, 7, 9, 1, 2, 8

    ReplyDelete
  166. India, it's from the back of the clipboard in the room where you used the knife on the wheelchair. Use the numbers in sequence. Also note the points, because it's the clue for the candle star later on.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Out, finally!

Very good game. I don't know why I got stuck on the chess wheel...maybe I'm just crazy, who knows...but I love these games so much it doesn't matter in the least. I love it when the map is huge. Also like the orbs this way and the ghosts! I'm always a little bit sad when the game is over :-)

Thanks for this epic game, SD!

    ReplyDelete
  168. I have clicked everywhere in AI - no ruby - which bottle is it?

    ReplyDelete
  169. nate....I believe it was on the bottom shelf. Maybe a dark blue bottle??

    ReplyDelete
  170. Thanks Zoe,

I also can't get the orb on the page on the top shelf - so maybe it's a bug... So close to the end but it looks like I have to start over

    ReplyDelete
  171. nate - someone mentioned in a post above that they could not get one of the orbs in one of the rooms, so it's probably just a bug. You don't need to have every single orb to buy all of the items at the "shop"...If you click on the orb bar at the bottom of the screen, it will tell you how many orbs you have, so you will know if it's time to go "shopping" or not :-)

    ReplyDelete
  172. IF THE COMMENTS GO BEYOND 200, THEY WILL BE MOVED ONTO A NEW PAGE.....WE ARE AT 198 HERE....

    ReplyDelete
  173. Thanks for the 4-digit clue Sisli, I had it all done except for this. The small plus sign was far too subtle a hint for my old eyes!
Great game otherwise. Loved the disappearing faces in the windows.

    ReplyDelete
  174. OMG. That was sooo much fun. Going into hospital today and that took my mind off it. Loved the creepy sound effects too. Thank you SD
