    ReplyDelete
  56. Alice,
In the book, you put the 4 pages in (use missing letters).

    ReplyDelete
  57. so far have only found pages...thank you small-tool

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  59. Book pages - J - click on piano music, Y, AE, V (if notes and memory correct)

    ReplyDelete
  60. Don't remember them all. I think one was in the garden and one on the piano. Maybe try to look at all the rooms drugged on herbs (buying the magic crystal to move around on the map is very useful for that).

    ReplyDelete
  61. Cannot resume game after pressing „Pause“.

    Is it a bug?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  76. Out - Great game SD! Loved the herbs - very clever!

    ReplyDelete
  77. I think the yellow gem was doing the (on herbs) the puzzle in room R

    ReplyDelete
  78. Excellent game, thanks SD. I want more of those herbs :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. I can't get the flashlight to work (?) in S. Do I need to do something to the snake first? When I use flashlight, I don't see anything and don't get another view of whatever's behind the grate.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Also, is there a trick to the piano? Maybe I need to fix it somehow first? When I try to play code from book, message says "It sounds strange" and doesn't seem to do anything.

    ReplyDelete
  81. There should be something (don't remember what) on that grate/radiator when you use the torch there.
For the piano, make sure you turn all the pages in the book. You have to play 7 notes.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Paused the game now it won't un-pause. Not restarting.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Pause is broken!! It won't unpause even after reloading the page.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Turned all the pages in the book, (got white gem) played all the notes ABCDEFG and nothing else.
    where is red gem please?

  85. This is by far my all time favorite Selfdefiant game! OMG!! So very clever, memories. Thank you Selfdefiant!! You are brilliant!!!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Jenny, did you play all the missing notes per page of the book?

    ReplyDelete
  87. POP, got out. play the piano using missing Letters!
    Great game Selfdefiant!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Spoiler for the Piano notes - play in this order:

    SPOILER -

    Use the missing notes:

    C, F, A, B, G, E, F

    ReplyDelete
  89. LOL Sharon. Thanks for all the help left here.

    ReplyDelete
  90. you are welcome Jenny, I just finished the game myself.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Well, ok,
    I have seven gems (y,p,w,r,g,o,b).
    And now???
I have not found a place to place them...

@Selfdefiant: I love the herbs too. Great idea. And superb, that I can go with the lightend flaslight from one room to the next one...

    ReplyDelete
  92. Self Defiant, is there any plan to fix the Pause Issue? I enjoyed the game, but I will not start it over again.

    ReplyDelete
  93. prakta - eat some of those wonderful herbs, and you will magically see where to put the gems! You will most likely need to use the crystal to get to the correct rooms fast enough!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Where IS the knife, please?

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hahahahahahahahaha....
    Eat the herbs again :)))

    ReplyDelete
  96. Can't find blue gem. Whereabouts in G is it? (Am using torch)

    ReplyDelete
  97. The knife was, I think, in a kind of surgery area. On a table to the left of an operating table(?)

    ReplyDelete
  98. *to the right

    ReplyDelete
  99. To finish the game after placing the gems, go to Room O and go down....

    ReplyDelete
  100. Yeah, I just found out.
But thank you very much, Zoe, for your answer!!!
It is a pleasure to play with all of you helpful people!!!

  103. Thanx Smarties, but i can't even find the room ...

    ReplyDelete
  104. Thanks Zoe, but a bit confused now. There isn't a bed in G. Which room?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Ha, no worries Zoe.

    ReplyDelete
  106. The blue gem is inside one of the open lockers. Check them all and use the flashlight.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Marleen - maybe in Z?

    ReplyDelete
  108. I'm trying to remember from playing a couple of hours ago...not a good idea - lol

    ReplyDelete
  109. Thanks small-tool Didn't think SD would be mean enough to make us check every single identical locker! Have looked in about 80% of them. It's bound to be in the last I choose!

    ReplyDelete
  110. OK. Knife must be in Z. Just read comment by ST that i should use the cross on " a guy" in E, but he's invisible to me ..

    ReplyDelete
  111. Thanks - out now.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Need the guy for the purple key. Sigh .....

    ReplyDelete
  113. Eat/use the herbs to see the E guy.

    ReplyDelete
  114. ST ... my saviour to get out!

    ReplyDelete
  115. Blue gem - bottom right locker in G

    ReplyDelete
  116. where does the white gem go?

    ReplyDelete
  117. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I will look at the pause issue and upload a fix. :)

    ReplyDelete
  119. Does anyone know where the hint for R is found

    ReplyDelete
  120. I, too, got stuck in Pause mode. Don't want to start over right now; refreshing does no good.

    @SD, please help!

    ReplyDelete
  121. SelfDefiant, thanks, I will check in a little later.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I updated and fixed pause. :) Thank you everyone!!

    ReplyDelete
  123. Where does the white gem go?

    ReplyDelete
  124. What an inventive game! And just to say, SD, I always love the little ting-a-ling when we collect an orb - a nice little reward for all that searching - thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Well, the blue glowing orbs are much more easy to see.

    ReplyDelete
  126. SD, very nice game. Thanks for the fix, I was able to complete without restarting.

    ReplyDelete
  127. alright so I click play, and it won't load. refresh the page, and I can't play the game because there's a large ad on the bottom that blocks the bottom half of the game. Ugh

    ReplyDelete
  128. Jinx there is a small exit X top right on the banner.
Click that and the banner goes away.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Well that is the first game I have ever played where getting stoned was an integral part of escaping!
    Loved it SD.
    Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  130. What Austen said. Sheesh - crazy, but so much fun! I so enjoy the creativity SD brings to each game. The basic framework is similar, but there are always inventive new twists!

    ReplyDelete
  131. SD back to his best. Great game

    ReplyDelete
  132. I was finally able to come back and finish the game; FanTAStic game @SD, although I still feel a bit woozy from the herbs (morning glory???). And thank you so much for fixing the Pause glitch. We can always count on you to come along and make things right!

    ReplyDelete
  133. by the way, SD isn't short for LSD, is it???

    ReplyDelete
  134. No pink gem - the Purple gem is in T - use the holy water on the ghoul there and he will drop it

    ReplyDelete
  135. And LOL SD you do know your stuff. That plant was Datura, wasn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  136. I love these "Selfmedicated" games. I got out with 70 orbs, which would put me at 145 orbs collected. How many orbs were there all together, Selfdefiant? If I had one suggestion for this game, it would be to make the effects of the hallucinogen permanent until you take an antidote to make it go away. That way, one wouldn't have to keep going all the way back to eat more of the plant. You could simply explore the whole map if you wanted to and then take the antidote when you no longer need the effect. Then, if you needed to you could go back and take more of the plant if you needed it again and then take the antidote again. etc.... Great Game!

    ReplyDelete
  137. rot gem wo in r? 3 von 4 wörtern gehen 4. wort geht nicht ,punkt wird nicht grün

    ReplyDelete
  138. I think the order was, BEAT MIND HAVE LIFE. If it's glitching maybe turn the last dial all the way around again until it's pointing back at the E again, for the last word.

    ReplyDelete
  139. @Janet,

Yes, I think it is datura ! Anyway, except the psychedelic colours in both outside scenes, I can't find anything new.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Well, an evil creature appeared in E (and disappeared with the cross).

    ReplyDelete
  141. great game as always but sure miss these games and the other you always did..I know some folks hated it because it was same ole same old thing but I rather enjoyed it.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Thanks everyone! It was Gypsum weed. Not sure the actual effects but it seemed cool! :)

    ReplyDelete
  143. It was a great game !

    ReplyDelete
  144. great game as always but sure miss these games and the other you always did..I know some folks hated it because it was same ole same old thing but I rather enjoyed it.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Looks like what I call Nightshade. Grows wild and is poisonous. Now you've got me reading up on plants. . . even as I can't seem to get out of your dreadful (but entertaining) hospital. They might have used it here as belladonna to put everyone to sleep. Thanks SD.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Could not figure out hint from to get Green key in Y. What a shame. I tried every color combination and nothing happened. So very frustrating.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Green key hint was in D.

Spoiler: Orange on top, Green on right, Purple on left

    ReplyDelete
  148. p.s. Jimson weed is a common name for Datura. It's related to nightshade. (Anyone read Carlos Casteneda's "The Teachings of Don Juan"?)

    ReplyDelete
  149. I agree that this one is SD at his very best. Kudos to you, SD!

    ReplyDelete
  150. "Kill your eyes" game. You need crystal ball badly. But anyway it's interesting and cool.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Thanks Janet

    ReplyDelete
  152. I'm completely stuck - I have the purple key, but the only doors I can see are gold, silver & green . . . ?

    ReplyDelete
  153. Where are the lighter, flashlight, coat hanger & knife that people keep mentioning please ?

    ReplyDelete
  154. saw small-tool's hint from way back & now have the lighter

    ReplyDelete
  155. I could not get the green key. Some kind of bug? The hint seemed clickable--was I supposed to do something with the hint, too?

    ReplyDelete
  156. Green Key - use the hint in D in Room Y. There is a grey panel on the wall in the middle. Think you have to use the screwdriver to open it. Then you'll see a symbol. You can click in three places to change the colors. That gives you the key.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Als - to get started. Go to F where you get the lighter fluid. Fill your lighter and go to I and light the fireplace. That gives you the Grey key which unlocks the Silver door. You can't use the Purple key until you have unlocked the Silver door.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Thanks Janet - I've moved on quite a bit now

    ReplyDelete
  159. Out at last !!! Didn't have to do anything with the snake as I thought we would
