The "Play Connect 4 Riddle" link is broken.
ReplyDeleteThe link works for me.
ReplyDeleteHi, link is good for me too
ReplyDeleteDon't understand how to answer
ReplyDeleteMe neither Dazz.
ReplyDeleteBut it doesn't seem to be too great anyways.
To enter the answer:
ReplyDeleteAfter the connect/ type "1youranswerhere.htm
i.e. I f you had ghostbusters for the 1st answer (lol which I did and was totally wrong), you'd type:
/1ghostbusters.htm
Next level - /2answer.htm
TY Janet for the posting tip. I had level one right but was putting the answer in wrong.
ReplyDeleteAnd stuck on 2 now. Not really my kind of puzzle. I'll let you braniacs solve this one.
ReplyDeleteNope, not my cup of tea either.. Only way I figured out how to enter was when I did have the right answer and nothing else worked.
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck at lvl 2 as well.
ReplyDeletesouth, pacific, ursa major, dubai atlantis palm hotel..
and the lvl 1 suggests that it's tough, things uknown to me, only google helps
ReplyDeleteFor level 2, think water :)
ReplyDeletethanks Dutchie!
ReplyDeletelvl 3
ReplyDeleteI googled the ladies who they are, bonfire night? usa/new york/wtc?
(´`)====3
Have no clue yet for level 3, have all pics but don't see a connection yet.
ReplyDeleteAll four on number three can be translated into something on a calendar
ReplyDeleteYes, saw that too.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand, take the dates? Which one? Days, years?
ReplyDeleteYep, simple answers don't work, nor do month numbers or number of letters in each answer.
ReplyDeleteNo hidden clues, nothing in the page source. Think it's time for me to go....
ReplyDeleteFor level 3, you are on the right track with "something on the calendar" Make sure you have the correct months and think on a rhyme ;)
ReplyDeleteTemp end for me. Great fun. Waiting for more soon :)
Not my cup of tea, think the game maker should make how to put answers in more clearer. More work typing in answer than the games worth. I'd rate it two and that's being generous.
ReplyDeleteThanks Edgar, on four now :)
ReplyDeleteGot it but not understanding why the bonfire and fireworks represented that month.
ReplyDeleteIt's a UK holiday (GF)
ReplyDeleteAh - a London tradition
ReplyDeleteOn 5. Wonder how many levels there are
ReplyDeleteStuck at level 1. Any hints?
ReplyDelete"Stuck" is a good word to use.
ReplyDeleteThanks Janet. I will think about it.
ReplyDeleteBest clues are 1st and 3rd pictures
ReplyDeleteThanks again Janet. Finally at 2.
ReplyDeleteStoping at 5, too weird for me.
ReplyDeleteYes, I understand. I got 5 and now am staring at Level 6 asking myself if this is worth it.
ReplyDeletehelp please with level 5? Not sure what the writing is?
ReplyDeleteDo you know how to use the snipping tool? If so, snip each character separately and google it
ReplyDeleteThey are Kanji
ReplyDeleteThank you Janet. I didn't do each one separately. will try again
ReplyDeleteHi! Stuck on 5
ReplyDeleteI did what janet says, but I find no answer, google strikeout me some words . I do it wrong, or maybe this is a little weird enigma
same with me Pichi. I can't put them all together. saw hint on other forum about book characters. but just not getting it
ReplyDeleteYes EnJoy I can not find any character
ReplyDeleteI hope someone who has done it, help us
Hi pichi - it's weird. I only found it by working backwards. Best thing to google is the riddle creator's name. That gets you the book series. Then the best clue is the second one - which is not a "suitcase".
ReplyDeletep.s. when you enter the book title leave out any article like A or The
Ugh.. Janet. I know the series but wasn't getting anywhere finding the right book. will keep going. at lease I know I am on the right track. Thanks
ReplyDeleteJanet thank you very much! This was an excellent hint
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. I stopped after looking at Level 6 and just thinking "I'm not up to this riddle" ;-)
ReplyDeletethanks Janet, I finally got it also. Those clues were stretching it a bit.
ReplyDelete6 It seems that the images are clear. I find nothing...
ReplyDeleteI think I surrender
working on it too Pichi. Not getting anywhere.
ReplyDeleteYep, I am quitting too - Pichi and Janet
ReplyDeleteEnJoy this is infumable LOLOL I'm circling
ReplyDeleteI cant really explain how i got lvl 6 since it "just hit me" suddenly. The top two pics are just what you see (*** and ***)... except smaller.
ReplyDeleteThe bottom two pics (m***y and s*****n) are meant to make you think of a certain g**e (where the top pics are used).
Lol Ellie - never would have gotten that. You are a riddle genius. Thanks
ReplyDeleteYw Janet :)
ReplyDeleteBtw, there were 10 levels to temp end, but I just realised some more levels are added now.
Loved levels 19-21. Funny ones :)
ReplyDeleteTemp end again.
Don't like these vague guessing riddles, but started to play anyway.
ReplyDeleteStuck on level 11. Seems like I'm looking for an electrical car, but not sure how to interpret the top left pic.
I didn't like it at first either, s-t, but somehow it was nice to play anyway (not fond of googling too many pics).
ReplyDeleteAnd, the answer to lvl 11 is way more basic than you might think. You already have it. Try easy stuff. The name of the top left pic guy is connected to what you found.
I was indeed way overthinking level 11, but... did even more overthinking after your comment. Top left pic was a river and/or road or flash flood, so tried to find a guys name for that, but couldn't find it. Anyway thinking simple did help.
ReplyDeleteBut, already stuck on 13 again.
Is the top right pic the material or the guy (his job: th....er).
Not sure about the top left pic either, but if it's h.....r then together it could be an actress.
Anyway if with using all options, I still have no idea what I'm looking for.
Nvm, got it now (it was all names), just had to find the right way to phrase it.
ReplyDeleteAnd level 16 is where I give up I think.
ReplyDeleteDon't know what (and can't find) the two pics on the right are and the bottom left one can be named a few different things.
I'm so sorry, s-t! I was looking at the "other left" (right) picture. :(
ReplyDeleteLvl 16 was hard. I used only the top left (g******) and the lower right pic to solve it. The lower right is the material (***ss). Google them together and you'll see many results of the same thing. Again, think very very simple and basic with the answer, as with lvl 11.
Thanks :) I think I know what it is now on level 16 (it's in London), but doesn't matter what I use for the answer (the name(s), the general name, the maker/designer, what it literally is etc.) can't find the right wording :(
ReplyDeleteMaybe trying again tomorrow.
@s-t, even more basic. As if the thing could be in any other place, or with any other name. The "generic" name is needed (b*******).
ReplyDeleteI know I started this way too late, but I'm just wondering why "edge" isn't the logical answer to level 1?
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellie :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I did try that answer before but maybe a typo or wrong (or no) number.
Anyway, finally on temp end as well. And like Edgar said, the last levels were (more) fun. Easier actually. For most of them I only needed one or two pics.
c0fetc...
It's all about finding a logical connection between the 4 pics/hints, but the hints are cryptic, out of the box, sound a bit like etc. etc.
For example, the pic of the duck is actually a sound like thing (or better: a common mistake a lot of people make). It's duct.
TY S-T, I never would have gotten that without your explanation.
ReplyDeleteAnd also Duck is a brand name for that product
ReplyDeleteI made it all the way to 21 and am STUCK!
ReplyDeleteBr**n Robot, City in Ohio, Dragon, Seal
@EnJoy,
ReplyDelete-stay with the name;
-which city exactly;
-that is not a dragon, but a g******
-I didn't need the seal to solve the level.
Thank you Edgar. I thought I had tried all that, but didn't scroll down the google results!
ReplyDeletejust starting. maybe another cultural barrier for me to solve Lv 1? got two of the brands. but what to answer?
ReplyDeleteIt's a connect(ion) riddle. So the answer is always something that connects the 4 pics/subjects. In this case they all make the same product (4 letter woord).
ReplyDeleteStill not getting level 5. Bookseries? I thought it was about Chinese good luck things, lol.
ReplyDeleteFor level 5. Some extra info: Anqua is a very big fan of the scifi/fantasy author Terry Pratchett (and that's a good thing. It's a great writer; kind of Monty Python SciFi). In almost all her riddles there's a level about that.
ReplyDeleteThanks s-t, moving forwards now :) It's just about logical thinking and Googling of course :P
ReplyDeletestill didn't get Lv1. the 4 animals are brands of some breakfast food, right? but i can't find a word for those... :(
ReplyDeleteuno hoo, they are all brands of the same kind of 'sticky' product. Smalltool already said that the picture of the duck is not the exact name of the brand but sounds like it.
ReplyDeleteJust a quick note about the history. Duck is the brand name. During WWII, a division of Johnson and Johnson was trying to develop a product to keep ammunition cases dry. They attached a substance to "duck" canvas and voila a new product was born! So if you need to, google Duck brand product and you will find the answer to the first level.
ReplyDeleteNew levels added and stuk already on the very first one (level 22).
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I know what it is about (A.....13) and the level seems to ask why (Y) they had to repair it. But I just can't find the right wording, or maybe I'm totally on the wrong track.
St, wrong track. Think more elementary.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
ReplyDeleteBut already stuck again on 24 :(
Could be about the famous battle wih the famous admiral, but his name is not the answer.
Don't know if the top left pic is just the general thing or do I need a specific name.
For the cartoon character on the bottom right I doubt I have to use his name W******, but probably the S word he is part of (does fit with that battle).
It's not the battle.
ReplyDeleteTop left you don't need the thing in particular, but the name/company. They do other things as well.
For the cartoon, you actually need w******.
You might have stumbled upon the answer already (top right and bottom left pics gives it quite easily), but it's not what first looks like obvious, but a synonym.
Thanks again :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems I'm everytime making connections that would fit as well, but everytime the wrong connection.
This time I can't find any conncetion at all on level 26. I assume the top left pic is about the name of the horse and I do know what the other pics are, but nothing comes up with Google and nothing springs to mind.
Nvm, did it with just the bottom right picture. But I really don't see the connection.
ReplyDeleteTop left pic on lvl 26 is a bit tricky. It's not the name of the horse, but the nationality (and the noun describing the man). The others are just simply what they look like. *****, ****, ***** *****
ReplyDeleteGoogle toghether and you will find a guy somewhere among all the results.
oops, too late answer :)
ReplyDeleteTime to give up I think. So far I could only do 50% of the new levels on my own and that's no real fun. Now again Googling my a** off on level 27 with so many (different) results and nothing works.
ReplyDeleteLevel 23 has to do with things that are b....d in a certain country?
ReplyDeleteYes, it gives many results indeed. I was lucky on lvl 27 to pick the right combination of words.
ReplyDeleteupper left: what kind of book
upper right: well, i only used the word planet (but it should probably be another word for the end of the world, but not spelled the normal way)
lower left: i used only the first of the two names of the rhyme
lower right: you need the exact name (two words) of those boots
Googling with this combination of words gave a list which led to the answer. In case you want to go on :)
Yep @duchie. You need 3 words as an answer.
ReplyDelete*dutchie
ReplyDeleteThanks Ellie :)
ReplyDeletecan't find the word for Lv 2, southern star/peace/ursa major/atlantis.
ReplyDeleteLol, ok, thanks again :)
ReplyDeleteSo I struggled on a bit, but the sequence keeps going (solving one myself and then stuck on the next one).
On 29 I think I have to use the name of the band (not the style), as top right pic what that A******** is about and not the number) and not sure about the bottom right (could be the artist or the label).
But anywat, no good hits with trying different combinations :(
For level 2 Ducthie gave a very good hint on 9/27/15, 8:48 AM
ReplyDelete(think, big bodies of water).
uno hoo, for level 2; the connection has to do with large 'waters' on the worldmap. For level 24, it's about a movie?
ReplyDelete@uno hoo, there has been a hint before to think about water when solving. Did you try that? The last pic should help the most i guess. They are all... ***** (answer should be singular).
ReplyDeletelol, too late, again.
ReplyDelete@st, yes, go with the name for top left, and artist for bottom right.
ReplyDeleteTop right, im not sure what you mean, but its a verb that's needed. t*****
You might not need bottom left pic, but it's fun for sure.
lol @dutchie, very late.
ReplyDeleteFor lvl 24 it's not about any movie. Did you see my comment at 10/6/15, 5:51 AM? Need some other help?
Btw, stuck on lvl 30 for quite a while, so catch up and help please :)
ReplyDeleteOk, on 25 now, had the answer right away but used wrong word. Btw. I meant I was too late with my comment for level 2 :)
ReplyDelete@dutchie, i got that :) I was even later...
ReplyDeleteYes, 24 was tricky with that other word.
And thanks again for 29 (and yep the t word I was talking about, but not as a verb)
ReplyDeleteNot sure about level 30 either. I bet it's about dr. who. But the top right pic is a bit of a problem, seems more like an anonymous photo used by different people.
No idea for 28, I think I know what the pictures represent but no clue what the connection is.
ReplyDelete@dutchie, use quotation marks for the two pics which contain more than one word when googling.
ReplyDelete@st, only one of those people seems to be the woman. The others don't have the pic if you follow the links.
Thanks Ellie :)
ReplyDeleteI guess the picname for level 30 is kind of hint but don't get it.
ReplyDeleteOn temp end. For 30 look for a school.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletePfew finally a new temp end. Great find Dutchie, thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI hope the next series will be a bit easier / more logical. I had a way harder time with those last ten than with the previous twenty all together.
Had to leave yesterday, but back now and as stuck as before. Thanks @dutchie, but it doesn't help. I think all of the names are correct, but cant connect them. Are both first and last names used? Is the last pic a place? Animal?
ReplyDeleteThe names, are they A.M. K.F. N.S.?
N. S.
ReplyDeleteand
T. M.
is enough (with Wiki), no extra middle names or so.
Still don't understand the bottom two pics (not really searched the whole wiki page, but at first sight those were not there).
Oops, I mean; still don't understand the two right pics (bottom right seems to be an owl and not the tardis).
ReplyDeleteIt seems KF was the first female pupil. Have still no idea what the upper right picture has to do with it
ReplyDeleteThanks! Tried that before, but didnt add school at the end. Never got any perfect results with googling all four pics together.
ReplyDelete* I mean the lower right pic.
ReplyDeleteLol, Dutchie, directionally challenged (like me) ?
ReplyDeleteAnyway on Nord Anqua said:
"The 4th is more tricky unless you know me."
Btw. I mailed you Ellie.
Lol, we are all lousy when it comes to directions. Luckily it only matters when helping others, not so much when solving :)
ReplyDeleteThanks st, Edgar will reply in a while :)
Lol, it seems we all suffer from "Geographical Dyslexia"
ReplyDeleteLol, probably far fetched but Malcolm Rose has attended the same school and his favorite book is 'The owl service' by Alan Garner.
ReplyDeleteHere's another far fetched one. Probably the person in the pic is angua herself, who might have attended that same school. After all, the pic was taken in Birmingham, where the author of this riddle is from...
ReplyDeleteIt kind of fits with "The 4th is more tricky unless you know me."
Lol, that was my first idea but no way to check that.
ReplyDeleteI don't use the Miscrosoft email client to report broken link, 1 star
