Can't pick up everything, but use the bin to keep stuff
ReplyDeleteOpen a lot of doors. Have placed glass of wine, beer and wine to get another key. Used hammer to break glass for diamonds.

ReplyDeleteFill the wine glasses in inventory, then place them on the shelf. If you have placed the empty glasses, just take them back to fill them and then return to shelf. Stuck there a long time, silly me! Got green key.
ReplyDeleteHello - working on a walkthrough but it'll take me an hour or so - for the longest time I was stuck where Tiquer was, looking everywhere for a corkscrew and bottle opener - there are some tricks to it but no pixel hunting. Keeping your inventory under control is the very devil! I'll try to add some pointers on that.

ReplyDeleteYou don't use the ladder to reach those gems on the upper shelf, use the combined grappling hook and rope. The ladder is used to reach the attic. Hint: I used the garbage can in Room #1 to store tools after I used them (screwdriver, scissors, the oft-used bucket, grappling hook, rope, etc).

ReplyDeleteThis is taking longer than I thought, and it is longer than I thought, so here comes the first part, more on this later!

Room 1
pick up red key, pot and screwdriver. Notice you can store things in the trash can, then get them later. Open the first door.
Room 2
Ignore the paintbrush for now; notice the wine/beer/wine clue, then open the red door, go to
Room 3
and get the brown door key. back to
Room 2
and use brown key, enter
Room 4
and collect 2 flowers. Use red key, enter
Room 5
and get gray door key. Back to 4, use brown key, enter
Room 6
and collect pot. Open gray door to enter
Room 7
and look in the trash can to find the purple key. Use screwdriver 14 times, and put 8 of the screws in the trash, then the screwdriver which you won't need again. Notice there are 5 different types, 4 triplets + a single pair. You won't need the pair again, but you'll retrieve the others later. Open the gray door that is revealed and enter
Room 8
pick up the 3 glasses and the wine bottle. Open purple door, enter
Room 9
and pick 2 flowers. Open purple door, enter
Room 10
The clue on the wall tells you you can empty a glass if you screw up. But we won't need that. Fill 2 of your glasses with wine (select bottle then click on glass), and place them in the 1st and 3rd positions. Then grab beer bottle, fil the 3rd glass and place it in the middle. Get the green key. Back up ll the way to room 4 and use green key to enter
Room 14
Get white key; throw out wine and beer bottles, and store the rest of the screws here for now; pick up pot #3 and flowers 5 & 6; also see clue. We'll have to come back for the eggs. (I assume you've been noticing the egg clues scattered about...) Back up once, enter red door to rm. 5, open green door for
Room 12
and grab the bucket. Back twice, enter brown door and open red door for
Room 11
where you'll see the screw clue, and 2 more egg clues. Fill bucket at sink. Back up, enter gray door - purple door - open green door for
Room 15
Pour bucket in a PVC pipe to collect a plastic ball. Go fill bucket again and do this 4 times. Return to rm. 1 and throw the bucket away, since we're about to have an inventory problem. Then go to rm. 5, enter rm. 12 and place 2 plastic balls in wall, get black key, return to 5 and pick up the flashlight (torch), then to rm. 6 and click on the 2nd drawer for the batteries. (If you click at the bottom drawer, you'll need to go put the hammer in the trash somewhere too.) Put batteries in flashlight, then you can grab the hammer. Go back to 1, smash glass with hammer and throw it away. We'll get the gems later Return to 12 and open door to
Room 13
which is very dark. Turn on your light; see final egg clue and 2 doors. Open the gray one and enter
Room 16
and we don't have everything that goes here yet, but we need to get rid of some of it anyway. You can place 2 balls, 4 pots and 4 flowers, then go next door to
Room 17
another dark room. (You have to use your torch every time you visit these rooms.) Make a note of the gem clue; go ahead and grab the pot, key card, hook and paint, and now we don't have to come back here anymore. In rm. 13 grab the pot on the floor there; return to 16 and finish placing them. Get golden door key.
In rm. 13 there are 4 more items on the floor; bowl, scissors, rope, and cord. Get them now and we won't need the torch anymore.
Walkabout, part 2:
ReplyDeleteNow go back to 14, and get rid of the torch, also store paint, cable, hook, rope, scissors and bowl. Get all the screws that we left here. Go to 7, drop red, green and brown door keys, pick up the rest of the screws (except the 2 we don't need). Go forward to 11, open the black door, enter
Room 18
and put all the screws in the wall according to the clue in 11. Get wooden door key.
Return to 14, get everything we haven't used out of the trash and collect 6 eggs. Go to rm. 11, fill bowl at sink. Pick up the paintbrush in rm. 2; combine it with paint. Now go to room 9 and open the white door to
Room 20
The kitchen.
Place bowl on stove; cook the eggs one at a time (just put them in, then take them out.) The raw eggs become hardboiled, and now we can paint them. There are 6 patterns to remember, and 8 to choose from. Doing them in the right order is very helpful!
Egg Clues:
Rm. 8, #1.
Rm. 11, #2 & 4.
Rm.1, #3.
Rm. 3, #5.
Rm. 13, #6.
Go to rm. 15 and use golden door key to enter
Room 21
Use scissors on box and cord on computer. Computer sends us to rm. 18 where we now find the secret door to
Room 22
Collect ladder; place the 6 eggs and the white key which doesn't open any doors. Now we need the gems. In rm. 18 combine rope and hook to make a grapple with which to collect those 2 gems. In rm. 6, collect magnifying glass, open white door to
Room 19
and use the glass to read the nos. on the screen; then go to Rm. 3 and open the safe with those numbers (right arrow to set, left arrow to move to next number). Collect 2 more gems. Return to rm. 1 and collect the 2 from the glass case. Then back to the secret room, place gems for attic key. (the shades are rather similar - the smaller-looking ones are the purple. so pur-pur-pink-pur-pink-pink.)
Go to 21, place ladder, use attic key, collect rm. 23 key, which is the exit key. Congrats! You made it back to -what?! Room 1 again?

ReplyDeleteI had a little trouble opening the white door in room 9 (that leads to the kitchen - room 20) I had to put the key card on the red button above the door - not where the key card usually goes where the door handle is, but otherwise this was a great game! I love long games like this.

ReplyDeleteMy recommendation with the game is to not pick up much of anything besides the keys and the flashlight until you actually have a use for an item / know where they're going to go. Saves a lot of interaction with trash cans.
