Can't even figure out level 1 very dull
ReplyDeleteLevel 1 is a very typical Escape game solution using music notes. Or are you having trouble figuring out how to get through the door LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat do i do in level 1? This is crap!
ReplyDeleteCan't get past the piano!
ReplyDeleteRicky - see what notes (letters) the skeleton fingers are on and anagram
ReplyDeletefor level 1 nonmugglesue - see what notes the fingers are on then anagram
ReplyDeleteAnagram? How where? This is so confusing.
ReplyDeleteoh Janet.. didn't refresh and see you hint!
ReplyDeleteRicky - look at the keyboard and where the fingers are. You will get 5 notes (letters). When you anagram the notes/letters you get a word that is the answer. This is a good anagram site
ReplyDeletehttp://anagram-solver.net/
efacd is the notes and i put them in the url but it took me to a page that wasnt found.
ReplyDeleteYou may need to google piano keyboard image to see what the notes/letters are
ReplyDeleteok Thank you. I will try.
ReplyDeleteYep - use the anagram solver to get the word
ReplyDeleteHi all, Happy Halloween! Ricky Tapp there is a link to an anagram solver on the 2nd page, click the link at the bottom, put your letters there and try some answers :)
ReplyDeleteGetting stuck on 4. Translated, have the quote and who said it and the book/author but none of my answers are working
ReplyDeletep.s. what was the last character of the sentence? Didn't see a translation for that on Red Luth
ReplyDeleteJanet, Harry is looking at what?
ReplyDeleteNever mind - got it
ReplyDeleteJanet, wiki says that symbol means 'end of sentence'
ReplyDeletegot the first egg on level 2 with help from Red Luth, but I don't know where to go from here?
ReplyDeleteThanks Donas. Makes sense
ReplyDeleteZoz - I don't think I got an egg on 2. Just translated the runes and took to granny
ReplyDeleteI neglected to anagram on level 2. Hint, leaving out 2 letters will get you the Halloween egg.
ReplyDeletethree is not macbeth...hmmmm?
ReplyDeleteLevel 3 - look at title for clue
ReplyDeletezoz egg is not linked to level 2 it is for another level
ReplyDeleteI also need help on 4. I know the quote, the book, I know what Harry is looking at. but cant put the right answer together. I have tried the name of the object both regular and mirrored. nothing. a little push please :)
ReplyDeleteWell on 3 I see two D's and two T's in the title. :-)
ReplyDeleteYep - now look only in the text for "doubles"
ReplyDeleteEnJoy - Look in Wiki for the Chapter where the quote appeared
ReplyDeleteOk, Pop. on 4 put all the things together! answer is three words
ReplyDeleteHello all! I don't have time to play, but secretely started.
ReplyDeleteI need another hint on level 3, cause the doubles I get are only non-vowels (consonants?).
After solving this one, I have to practice again, so please ... ?
ReplyDeleteHave a good look at text again Arrie. Put on your glasses :P
ReplyDeleteArrie - look only in the text for doobles - oops doubles. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAaaa, yeah ... glasses !! lol, dutchie.
ReplyDeleteJanet, please read my comment. :-)
A hint could be: there are more doubles than just the first letters of words.
ReplyDeletelol, Janet, I understand your typo now. Funny !
ReplyDeleteDoubles - don't a(dd), just l(oo)k

ReplyDeleteOn 5, egg, I wondered who's? I tried 'thisriddle'.
ReplyDelete*bzzt* wrong.
For 28 I put the words on the right in order and tried to pick letters but that didn't work, I don't see how to make an answer.
ReplyDeleteArrie, try the same method you used for that egg in another place
ReplyDeleteVerito, Look at words on left carefully.
ReplyDeletethanks donas, I thought that would help, but .. do you mean the egg on level 4?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteYes, I know.
ReplyDeleteDo the same thing you just did but think First
ReplyDeleteIt's the method I can't find.
ReplyDeleteArrie, for level 5, you should find 2 eggs using the same method, there is another word on the egg that should tell you the other place
ReplyDeleteThere's a reason for that strange word in the 7th line - needed that 7th letter
ReplyDeleteI am stuck again on 4. I put the name of the object from chapter and now I see another picture, with another quote. but not putting it together. I tried writing the previous answer backward (mirrored) but no luck
ReplyDeleteah, using the same method but on other words. thank you.
ReplyDeleteLook carefully at not only what is reversed but who
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, you read the text on that second picture from right to left.
ReplyDeleteUse that method on the one who's speaking the words.
I must say, I looove the soundeffects ! (ahem... so far, you never know).
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know who wrote this riddle? Saw that Mtatt posted it but it seems a bit like Small-tool too.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThink person not words
ReplyDeleteEnjoy. Right method wrong "person".
ReplyDeleteOk. thank you will try again
ReplyDeletegot it. thanks, had put that it but not backward
ReplyDeleteohh, level 7 is nice ...
ReplyDeleteon 6, it's about which is who's.
ReplyDeleteNow on 8. Let me think.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone who replied to me, I can't read music so that was wasted on me haha
ReplyDeleteGo with your instincts Arrie. LOL
ReplyDeleteNeither can I nonmugglesue: I googled 'piano keyboard' to find an image with the notes marked.
ReplyDeletenonmugglesue, maybe this helps: http://pianolessons.forbeginners.me/files/2011/04/cropped-piano-keys2.jpg
ReplyDeleteThank you Dutchie! I could finally put some order to it!
ReplyDeletewell, I am slowly plodding along. I am on the second egg of level 5. move toward the end. tried picking backward, but not getting a word. Is it moving backward from the end of the sentence?
ReplyDeleteI will delete above if it is providing too much info.
ReplyDeleteNot, it's not going backward by picking letters. It's about combining words.
ReplyDeleteThanks arrie -ugh.. I guess I need a break. nothing is sinking in on 5 (2nd egg).
ReplyDelete"Did you miss something???" I think this is some sort of hint, right?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, both eggs are part of the final answer, no anagram just 'glue' them together.
ReplyDeleteThat's a better hint, dutchie, thank you.
ReplyDeletethank you both, now another egg?
ReplyDeletetry entering it both ways
ReplyDeleteLol, swap the words :)
ReplyDeleteHmm - put the "holiday" in on Level 8 and got a really ugly color-changing witch. Methinks that's not quite right
ReplyDeleteDo I have to see letters in the Sirtaki-guys?
ReplyDeleteLol, you met Broomhilda also :)
ReplyDeleteJanet ..... really ???? Oh ..
ReplyDeleteLOL - this is funny. Entering all these word associated with the subject and getting great screens.
ReplyDeleteYep have met Broomhilda, the Dead End and the warlock now - great fun
ReplyDeleteJanet, you have to tell me all those words on the chat please, I'm very curious about those other screens. lol.
ReplyDeleteBut still not getting me the answer to Level 8 :-)
ReplyDeleteArrie, maybe you have to take a look at Red Luth
ReplyDeleteDid you found the eggs Janet?
ReplyDeletemaybe ? lol.
ReplyDeleteLol Dutchie, no eggs. was still playing.
ReplyDeleteYes, thanks, dutchie. I found it. A lot of dancing on this level!
ReplyDeleteJanet, 1st things 1st. for level 8.
ReplyDeleteJanet, what do you have to do when you read 'First'?
ReplyDeleteBack from reading in Chat. Yes I missed something. Go back and try again
ReplyDeleteThere are some more words with first letters, Janet.
ReplyDeletelevel 10. hmm. Can't find the pattern anymore.
ReplyDeleteArrie, for level 10, it's a well known sequence often seen in nature
ReplyDeleteI already tried to go round, like the web, but that didn't give me words. I'll try again.
ReplyDeleteFollow the sequence Arrie.
ReplyDeletenope. can't make it work. I can't think of any other sequences.
ReplyDeleteyessss, that's the title of the level, lol.
ReplyDeleteLevel 7 is killing me. I have no idea where to start.
ReplyDeleteDon' t forget that using Ctrl A can sometimes reveal things.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lin, I used it on all levels, but didn't think of it on this one. Too late I think. I'd better stop now and continue tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteUnknown - look at the candy pieces over the title and use them to translate. You'll have to fill in a few blanks
ReplyDeleteUnknown, you see the words, right? The letters and the sweets above them. Just as many sweets as there are letters.
ReplyDeleteLooking at title and candy above it will be a good start, Unknown
ReplyDelete*facepalm* OH. Thank you, Janet!
ReplyDeleteStaring at the hint on level 10, but I still don't see a pattern, lol.
ReplyDeleteGoodnight.
LOL - when you solve Level 8, leave me a few good hints. I'm done for the night
ReplyDeleteLevel 8.
ReplyDeleteYou found the word with the letters from the picture.
Now find a word with the letters of the newspaper-over-the-top-words.
Glue them together.
On lvl 12 I am pretty sure what to use, but can't see where to apply it.
ReplyDelete03sf24g78aqlkj52, try to apply it on the words next to it.
ReplyDelete03sf24, maybe the title will help, how many does it take?
ReplyDeleteHm, still don't get it. I was sure i should use b*****. Now i'm even more confused. Next to "it"? What is "it"? Don't i need a total number divisible with 8 (or possibly 4)?
ReplyDelete03sf24g78aqlkj52 , if you mean binary, find another way
ReplyDeletefor level 12, keep it simple :)
ReplyDelete"When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor"
ReplyDeleteThanks! Was overthinking :) Lvl 13 now.
ReplyDeletethe first 4 levels went so well, now I am just stumbling along needing to be spoon fed. Just finished 5 and of course I am stuck on 6. I saw Arrie's clue above, but nothing.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, once you have found them, think firsts
ReplyDeletehmmm found them??? I am not smart enough for this one, or it has been too long since I riddled. firsts, I understand.
ReplyDeletewhat is them? sentences? lines?
Enjoy - google the quotes - see who said them
ReplyDeleteInitially, I was a bit puzzled by this level
ReplyDeleteAnd EnJoy please, don't worry about asking for or needing help. We all do - that's the only way you learn. And soon you'll be helping others too. Trust me
ReplyDeleteDon' t forget that using Ctrl A can sometimes reveal things.
ReplyDeleteArrgh! Level So I got the first "Go Back" (6 ltrs) and then I tried another one (10 ltrs - anyone ever seen Kill Bill?) and got the 2nd Go Back.
ReplyDeleteLOL - put em together and Let's Dance
ReplyDeleteBe careful what you enter there, Janet. LOL
ReplyDeleteLooking at Level 10. See the numbers. Know the sequence I need and no idea where to go from there
ReplyDeleteI don't see what to do in 31...
ReplyDeleteJanet - start at first letter of first row and use the sequence to get a word.
ReplyDeleteAm I going for the spiral - do I start in the middle? No that doesn't work
ReplyDeleteNo spiral (that held me up for a long time). Just go row by row.
ReplyDeleteThanks Puffin!!
ReplyDeleteVerito, what code blinks?
ReplyDeleteNP Janet - now you can help me on 11
ReplyDeleteLol - I am old. I remember when the song on Level 11 first came out.
ReplyDeleteBlinks? ¿?
ReplyDeleteVerito, turns on and off in a coded pattern
ReplyDeleteVerito. Some are short and some are long.
ReplyDeleteI can see better now. Thanks Donas and Lin.
ReplyDeletePuffin - did you get Level 11? Think of what you use if you can't see. And look to the "o"
ReplyDeleteHad to step away for a bit. Still stuck on 11. Am I looking at the o's in the words listed.

ReplyDeletebye bye
ReplyDeleteBOOO. Thats for Halloween. Yayy. That's for the riddle. Im liking all the hints everyone is giving. It has got me to lvl 6 so far. I know who said which, but i have no idea what to do with that information. May i have another hint please? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Clio_rose; For level 6 initials might help you :)
ReplyDeleteThanks dutchie. Very appropriate answer too.
ReplyDeleteYes and music too :)
ReplyDeleteHi all! I'm completely lost with the 10 leg spider (?!?) at lvl 10.
ReplyDeleteHi Mako, if you know what sequence to use, apply it step by step to get a word. Ctrl A might tell you where to start.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes it's a 10 legged spider lol, it only shows up with Halloween!
ReplyDeleteno idea what sequence...
ReplyDeleteGoogling title will help you to find the pattern.
ReplyDeleteIt's a number sequence often used in riddles.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteYou got the right sequence, apply it step by step 1,1,2 etc and pick the letters.
ReplyDeletenow "is that spelled correctly?" and no anagram works
ReplyDeleteI guess my English is to poor to see the right word, like with the word for pumpkin at lvl 8, even the anagram solver did not find that
Almost there but you missed a 1.
ReplyDeleteNot sure what solver you use. This is a good one http://anagram-solver.net/
ReplyDeleteOnce again, thanks Dutchie, and..yayy Mako...thank you for asking the right questions. Looking at 11, and thinking.... 10 levels in one day?...thats quite enough for my brain. Friday night drinks all round, i reckon. Please keep leaving these great hints everyone. Thank you all so much.
ReplyDeleteok, I got the answer but I don't get the sense of it, even if you start with 0 it should go further than it goes, so it starts with two 0...
ReplyDeleteMako, using the sequence you mentioned, i didnt need to anagram. The word was spelled out. 8 letters.
ReplyDeleteI see now, don't count from one letter to another but always from the beginning, but they maliciously made it that you got the same without only the first letter counting that way
ReplyDeleteit hurts !(^^)!
thanks for your guidance!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning. Went to sleep hoping I would dream of the answer to 12. Tried several ways.
ReplyDeleteThe bottom two sentences: Used the first word to pick letters from the next words. Did both by sequence and by unique number from 1-26. Didn't get anything to take to granny. What am I missing please?
Janet I think your methode is right but apply it only to the word next to it.
ReplyDeleteYes Dutchie. Thank you. I had included too much.
ReplyDeletemade up to 13 but have to go, leave some clues please!
ReplyDeleteFor level 13, one of the begin words of sentences gives clue what tool to use.
ReplyDeleteLevel 13 - there's a very descriptive word which tells you what code to use
ReplyDeleteLevel 14 - Tried the obvious and, of course, it didn't work. Is the really large word a clue to the tool needed?
ReplyDelete"Just don't go there..." Hmm, that could be a hint, don't go where?
ReplyDeleteHi Janet, not the very large word, but there is another word that is slightly different in the text
ReplyDeleteLOL - like the skeleton bouncing his head with his hand. Go back
ReplyDeleteYes, saw that I need to go somewhere but using firsts of places didn't work.
ReplyDeleteTry anagramming the letters
ReplyDeleteIt wanted me to go horseback riding so I must be picking too few letters
ReplyDelete1 letter per movie
ReplyDeleteThanks all. Was picking the wrong letter on the 2nd one
ReplyDeleteI'm still stuck on the second egg of level 8. I see the top words on the level but can't grandmaa them into anything useful. Another nudge?
ReplyDeleteAnagramming first letters of top words should give a word, do the same with first letters of words beneath photo. This solver should work http://anagram-solver.net/ combine words for final answer.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteThanks dutchie, I didn't combine the two. Haven't had my tea yet.
ReplyDeletelvl 17, I think I got 5 of them, not sure about the 6th.
ReplyDeleteSo little time, great riddles, but I have so little time and I'm not doing what I should...
Who's the author of those riddles?
For level 17, take first letter of 1, second of 2 etc and anagram.
ReplyDeleteHi! Stuck on 14
ReplyDeleteI read the hints but I get nothing, someone help me?
Thanks
Done! I came after posting!
ReplyDeleteStuck on Level 15. I've matched up the authors with the tales but not sure what to do next. Looking at letters but can't get any kind of work. At the rate I'm going, it will take me a month to finish.
ReplyDeletePuffin, have you found the hotspot to the grid?
ReplyDeletePuffin, did you click on the book?
ReplyDeleteAh, no I didn't even think to click the book. Thanks!
