  1. There are two things in that grid that will give you a couple of eggs that provide the necessary information to find your way through.

    ReplyDelete
  2. still can't figure out the word from movies titles. Letters from the titles or including the bylines?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Uno Hoo, THERE are some spooky places out THERE. I wouldn't want to go to those places.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Ahh. I got the two eggs. Assuming they are coordinates? Confused as to how the star fits into it.

    ReplyDelete
  5. BlackFiresong. The star is the start point. There are 4 numerals that you can match with the 4 things in the text.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Thank you LinR, I got it.

    ReplyDelete
  7. On second egg of esqueleto. After being mistaken, now being asked to Go Back. Really going back to the esqueleto or the movie posters?

    ReplyDelete
  8. uno hoo, I'm not sure where you are. The correct answer to the movie level should take you to level 15. Do you see a page number?

    ReplyDelete
  9. I passed the L14, but didn't see the 15. now looking at the creepy head laughing and the words "Go back". I watched the skeleton playing with his head and passed that already.

    ReplyDelete
  10. think I got stuck with the "witchface", cannot proceed. keep going viral.

    ReplyDelete
  11. uno hoo, I think you didn't pass 14 but instead got a (rotten) egg, I think you should go back to the movies page and try to get the answer. Did you notice that the titles of the movies have all an element in common?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Uno hoo. Each movie title includes a place. Those places are what you need to proceed.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hi Uno hoo - I had a bit of trouble with Level 14 too. Pick one letter from each Movie Title "Place". You'll have 5 letters to anagram. The 1st two are tricky since each place is made up of two words. Remember your final answer will go with the theme of this riddle.

    ReplyDelete
  14. p.s. If you can't get back to Level 14, you wrote down your answer to 13, right? Put that in the top and you'll be back on 14 again

    ReplyDelete
  15. oh rotten egg! I got it, thank you all. L15 seems a lot to work with, I'll solve it tomorrow. hope some of you would drop by to help despite our different time zones.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Hi eveyone!
    Im here to continue
Any ideas ,please, for 23 ? cant think of anything...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sure! Good job so far uno hoo, see you tomorrow for more solving! :)

    ReplyDelete
  18. oops googled and looking

    ReplyDelete
  19. Someone will try to be here for you Uno Hoo. :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. LinR, I'm afraid I still can't get the gist of 39b. I have 9 pairs of normal and Roman numerals from the two eggs, and I assume the normal number indicates the number of spaces U/D and the Roman numeral indicates the number of spaces L/R. But how can one go U and R when the star is already at the top right corner of the grid?

    ReplyDelete
  21. BlackFiresong, you will only move 1 direction each time, the other number is how many steps to take

    ReplyDelete
  22. there are 4 numerals and 4 directions.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thank you all for your great ,helpful comments ,they took me to 29 and i ll continue tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  26. do not have the patience for this!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Finally figured out 39b. Woo! Now on 39c. I saw the words within some of the words, wrote those down and converted them and got a word, but that's not the answer. Stuck again now!

    ReplyDelete
  28. BlackFiresong, You need 8 letters, no anagram.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Dutchie - I only have 7 because one of them is z___?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Never mind! POP to the rescue. I was ignoring the first c*****.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Right, I'm on 40 and I made some progress (found the hidden message). Was trying to follow this hint from the lovely LinR:

"What would you have to add to those 3 colours to make them the one in the hidden text. Then match them up."

I've written down what I would need to add to each of the colours... but now I have no idea what to do with that information. I don't know what "match them up" means.

    ReplyDelete
  32. If you found the numbers, combine the three pairs that together makes the "good colour' draw a line.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thanks, dutchie! I got to the er... Commiserations page. xD Not sure what to amend to actually get out! Getting that far was hard enough!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Congrats ...... for now :) For the real congrats you have to do one last thing. Check the pic! (Hope you made notes or bookmarks :) )

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh, I don't have to go back to Level 40? I just have to check the Commiserations pic? I have notes of my answers to all the levels, but not sure how that applies here! Is it another bucket throw?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I threw a bucket and got a message, but that doesn't help either! Gahhh.

    ReplyDelete
  37. No bucket this time, try something else, like asking Jeffrey.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I don't know what tool that is :O

    ReplyDelete
  39. http://regex.info/exif.cgi

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ahh... cheers. Jeffrey doesn't give me anything useful except a certain string of digits, though, and I'm again stumped as to what to do with those. These last two levels have made me feel a whole new level of dense! Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Lol, You found the numbers you need to solve this last level. Now check your notes/answers :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. OHHHHH. YAAAAAY!!! I'M OUT NOW :D

    ReplyDelete
  43. Congrats BlackFiresong!! Great job :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thanks for all the hints, dutchie, LinR, Janet and others! And thanks to the makers for a wonderful creation!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yw BlackFiresong. See you in another riddle perhaps :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Congrats BlackFiresong!! Well done! :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Congratulations BlackFiresong!!! Yay You!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Going on with 15b, the 15 number/letter grid. Need a spiral decoder?

    ReplyDelete
  49. uno hoo, pick letters with the combinations you found on 15 A

    ReplyDelete
  50. Thanks dutchie! I had skipped the matching on 15A with an easy click to B :P
Now the teller of the Club? Is it the house or the bar that I should look up?

    ReplyDelete
  51. uno hoo, the teller is one that tells scary stories

    ReplyDelete
  52. It's the title of a book you found, you need 'the teller' (author)

    ReplyDelete
  53. I had entered the name with the middle initial, that's why didn't get through. but the Nope appeared again, guess I got a rotten egg again :P

    ReplyDelete
  54. The teller (name and surname) should lead you to the next level, if it didn't, check again what it is.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Now that I know there are some legendary authors. Going unto 17. Phew, 40 in total, *sweating* :P

    ReplyDelete
  56. Uno Hoo - Don't worry. You'll make it and when you need help, lots of friends will be here for you

    ReplyDelete
  57. The six pictures/pairsofpictures are confusing in Lv17.
    1 is a bottle/bear
    2 is night or Charleston?
    3 is run/step, or sport?
    4 is wall or Snape?
    5 is North Pole/car
6 is garden tool? or handle/arrow?

    ReplyDelete
  58. thank you dutchie, LinR, Verito, Donas727 and Janet.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Uno hoo - do you use the snipping tool? If so, snip each picture and google - you'll find the 1st pic - the bottle - is a a type of liquor

    ReplyDelete
  60. uno hoo, the important pics should just copy and then straight to google, the other pics are just "say what you see"

    ReplyDelete
  61. This is a very hard level - especially if you use a translator. But as the Title says "they are all "danses" (dances)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Uno hoo, if you don't want to copy the whole pic to Paint and snip (and I know I didn't!), then I can recommend Wikipedia's list of dance types.

    ReplyDelete
  63. BlackFiresong, I just saw in the HoF that you finished :)) Great!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Thanks, arrie! Yep, I finally managed despite being super-dense at these things (and ill at the moment xD). I should do riddles more often and maybe I'll improve. They do require commitment, though! If they had fewer levels, I might consider it...

  66. uno
1 need a bit on the end
    3 synonym for fast
4 need a bit on end
5 last word plus the car
6 yes plus where arrow is pointing

    ReplyDelete
  67. Hi uno hoo, you are close to the answer. 1. After rum is another picture, say the two words out loud and try to hear a danse. 2 :) 3. Another word for fast and you need the second pic too, say it outloud again. 4. what danse can you male of the word you already have and the second pic. 5. Forget North and add the second pic it's an synonym for automobile. 6. it's a specific tool, use it with the arrow pointing? Take letters according the numbers.

    ReplyDelete
  68. uno hoo, i had trouble with this one as well.

    1. Rum bear (say together)
    2. Charleston
    3. Not fast, but quick..and then they are stepping.
    4. Wall.......shh. (say together)
    5. Pole Car (say together)
    6. Hoe Down (say together)

If thats too much info, i will delete. However, i think the riddle maniacs have finished, so fingers crossed, the makers wont mind less obscure hints.

    ReplyDelete
  69. wow, thanks mtatt, dutchie and clio. I was close to it. Now going to L18.

    ReplyDelete
  70. yeah Uno Hoo, You are doing great!!!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Finished two by myself, phew :) Now on L20, wish I could be smarter or else I would be a martyr :P

    ReplyDelete
  72. you need the both the song and the lyrics for level 20. Congrats on doing two levels on your own.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Omg I am being fed with eggs after eggs. On 20, got the "cxxxxxx" and the "sxxxxxx", ate the "bxxxxxx" rotten egg too. Help me out of cholesterol anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Put the two eggs you found together, UnoHoo. It will tell you what to wear on Halloween. :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. The colors of 21, just wanna make sure they are magenta, black, red, green, brown, purple, green, white, am I right?

    ReplyDelete
  76. The magenta is just pink and the purple is violet.

    ReplyDelete
  77. still counting on level 34. I got all the pets, counted their letters, converted a = 1 etc and got nothing. HELP

    ReplyDelete
  78. Still 21. The plain numbers or the numbers in words indicate something I suppose. gotta sleep, hope to solve more over the weekend. See ya and have a nice weekend!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Juliet - double check your names. For example, the black bird is not a "crow" and the fourth one is made up of two names.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Also I thought at first the last one was a Tara.... but it's not

    ReplyDelete
  81. Yay Uno Hoo - halfway there! For 21 - hover over each ghost and then think why it was so important to have exactly the right name for the colors.

    ReplyDelete
  82. OMG. Finally got those ghosts in 21!! I had the wrong colors too. I thought brown was grey so I discounted that solution method. I was thinking I was the dumbest because others had said this was an easy one. Thought I'd give this a go again this weekend

    ReplyDelete
  83. I'm stuck on level 13.More hints, please?

    ReplyDelete
  84. Unknown, a 'ROTten' smell comes from beneath. ROT is a cipher, you can find it here http://luthorien.altervista.org/Tools/ Use the first letters and you will find the answer for level '13'

    ReplyDelete
  85. mamam, good to see you back. And about the 'dumbest' I know the feeling very well, lol. If you're stuck don't hesitate to ask for hints, we will help you to get to the finish :)

    ReplyDelete
  86. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  87. mamam, you have almost all letters right, there is only one H in it.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yay Mamam, welcome back. And lol, as far as the dumbest? Surely you read a lot of my posts here along the way!!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Hi Yuki, nice to see you're playing the Halloween riddle. If you need help just ask and someone will answer you :)

    ReplyDelete
  90. I'm back. The dumbest should be me,still thinking why there are 4 and four and 04...and no 5.... :(

    ReplyDelete
  91. uno hoo, I believe you are on level 21? You have to take the fourth letter from that colourname if it says 4, 04 or four.

    ReplyDelete
  92. yes I did that but the granny didn't give a word of that 8 letters. my colors are pink, black, red, green, brown, violet, green, white.

    ReplyDelete
  93. *facepalm*, that is grey...it looks brown or beige...thank u dutchie!

    ReplyDelete
  94. I could use some help on level 16. I don't understand that hint with the flags. (Sorry for my english, it's not very good).

    ReplyDelete
  95. Yuki, look at this site for Semaphore alphabet, try to find the same kind of pics. http://luthorien.altervista.org/Tools/

    ReplyDelete
  96. The egg of L23, I found names of Colonel's accomplices but nope?

    ReplyDelete
  97. You are close uno hoo, did you see the hidden text on level 23? Go to that site and you will find the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  98. On 24, I tried semaphore and then I tried the minutes apart from each clock, didn't lead to the right path.

    ReplyDelete
  99. For 24, look what numbers the hands are pointing at and do some simple math.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Think I need to call it a day. Tried many ways of calculation and combination geting 2302, or 19,9,11...or 8,9,19....and tried to put in letter. well, maybe I'll have the magic when waking up o Sunday :P

    ReplyDelete
  101. uno hoo first clock is 3+5=8 is H

    ReplyDelete
  102. And what did you get with your third method? Take it to granny

    ReplyDelete
  103. Helpful Hint:

To search. Press Ctrl F. A Search box will open up on your lower left. Type in what you want to search for, example 24 and then hit the up or down arrow. It will take you to all comments that have 24 in them. You'll have to go page by page but it does shorten the searching-through-each-comment time

    ReplyDelete
  104. Still stuck on Level 29. Have read the hints: 6 dials/6 lines. use a code for those who do not s**. Can't seem to relate the dials to that code. Tried relating hand on red to top left dot, orange to middle left dot, yellow to bottom left dot, green to top right dot but that doesn't work. Suggestions?

    ReplyDelete
  105. mamam, first dials tells you to mark the orange, yellow and blue circle in first row. Do that with all rows and maybe you will recognize an often used alphabet in riddles. You need a 6 letter word.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I did that but might have mistyped a wrong letter that granny was not happy with :P Thanks, Janet! The searching hint is useful too.
Now on 28. I matched the left with the right and tried the order from the left. No way out :(

    ReplyDelete
  107. Uno Hoo. Level 28, Match, count, pick

    ReplyDelete
  108. Following the progress with much interest here .. Great, you're both on 28, 29 ! :)

    ReplyDelete
  109. level 28.
Write down the correct letter (A=1) behind the match and read from top to bottom.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Thank you Arrie. Did that with one letter misplaced and then stuck for an hour, hahaha.
On L29, is the 6th color purple or violet? Still have no clue which letter to pick.

    ReplyDelete
  111. The name of the colour itself is not important.
Did you see what tool you have to use?

    ReplyDelete
  112. put in 29 at Ctrl F box, it gives over 100 matches, as there were hundreds of posts in 10/29/15 :P :P

    ReplyDelete
  113. hahahaahha o dear !
Okay, it's a tool that will help people read eventhough they can't really see what they read.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Write down the colours in a horizontal line.
Mark with the help of the clockhands vertically where a colour is used or not. Then apply the tool.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Uno hoo, it is not a tool. Think of what you used to read the answer for level 11, the one with the eyes moving. How do you read when you can not see?

    ReplyDelete
  116. Each dial tells you which colours you need for each row. Then read as a whole.

    ReplyDelete
  117. got it! Phew, 30 now. Ten more to go. Thank so much for hinting even after you all solved the 40 levels. 1:11 am now. Gotta work harder tomorrow :)

    ReplyDelete
  118. Sorry if I confused you Uno hoo, I think of it as a tool, but I hope Lin's explanation makes it clear. :)

    ReplyDelete
  119. Yeah! Uno Hoo Great going.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Uno Hoo - 30 is a tough level. One thing that will help you is to remember what is an "unlucky number" and pick the letter of the alphabet that corresponds to that. When you get to 30B, this was posted.
This site might help Mako: http://www.creatievepuzzels.com/spel/speel1/oplos45-2.htm

    ReplyDelete
  121. p.s. For the 1st part of Level 30, no anagram necessary. You'll get the letters to solve in the correct order.

    ReplyDelete
  122. i'm stuk at 37. i 've got 3 words from the picture, but they don't work. furthermore, i know who's speaking, but they don't work too...what am i getting wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  123. maremoto, If you put the three words in url without capitals or spaces, it should work. It will take you to an egg. If it doesn't work try the name of film. (You know who said those words, right?)

    ReplyDelete
  124. many thanks dutchie, unfortunately the name of the special (where dialogue comes from) doesn't work either...i mean..we're talking about a wellknown comic strip and there was a tv special for the Holiday. but the title i found on wikepedia doesn't work the same....but "i got a rock" ...just cebee could be so unlucky....

    ReplyDelete
  125. Maremoto - Think you're a bit off-base. No comic strip. (You are making one word for each line, right?)
I too didn't know the film from the words or clip so I googled my three words and it took me straight to the answer.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Level 22, how do I get numbers? Thanks for previous answers.

    ReplyDelete
  127. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Yuki - the strange writing on 22 is a code. Translate that and it will give you what you need. You can find it in the Most Common Alphabets section of Red Luth Riddle Tools

    ReplyDelete
  129. On30, I think I am getting a word from 1st, then a letter from 2nd, etc until 4th and 5th, for one letter or two? then got confused in 6th and 7th. Any hint?

    ReplyDelete
  130. can i check my words with someone? i think i've got the wrong ones

    ReplyDelete
  131. First one begins with H, 2nd also H (think the holiday of this puzzle). Third begins with L

    ReplyDelete
  132. Level 30 -You pick only one letter from each line. Then read down to make a word. For example, My first is in murder but not in killer. The only letters in murderer that aren't in killer are M, D and U. Start with the 4th and fifth letters - they're the same and "unlucky" What number is unlucky - what letter goes with that number. Might need to do a bit of trial and error.

    ReplyDelete
  133. So... you have the 2nd, 4th and 5th letters Odds are the 3rd one is a vowel. You know the 1st one has to be either a M, a D or a U. Work from there..

    ReplyDelete
  134. thanks janet. my firts two are correct, but my third begins with a b, not L, and it's that one which i need the most !

    ReplyDelete
  135. ok at last i got it. no "b" at all in the third word! thanks again, janet

    ReplyDelete
  136. got that and now on 30c, tried many song titles but nope?

    ReplyDelete
  137. uno hoo, you don't need a song for 30 c but one of the bandmembers. What was the first answer for 30 and what the second? Now google who that is.

    ReplyDelete
  138. p.s. Uno Hoo - most recent one (another clue that was given earlier)

    ReplyDelete
  139. Thank u, dutchie! I got the other US band at first. Unto 31 tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Great job uno hoo, the finish is near :)

    ReplyDelete
  141. Maremoto - you're very welcome. And now on Level 38, you're almost done! Yay you!!

    ReplyDelete
  142. Level 33 - Using sound hound I found these songs. Are they correct?
    Thriller
    Addams Family Theme
    Crazy Train
    Dont Fear The Reaper
    Clap for the Wolfman
    Highway To Hell
    That old Black Magic.

Rest I cant find. This level is very hard

    ReplyDelete
  143. Mehroon, the song is right but leave off the first two words. It is known by different names.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Mehroon - Another clue posted earlier was that one of the songs was from the Edgar Winters Band - google a list of their songs - I think you'll find the one you need.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Also if you use the anagram solver given in the opening page, you can put in what letters you have and use a ? for each missing song.

  150. On 35, noted the hidden thing, should be sth relating to dancing, but where to dig in?

    ReplyDelete
  151. uno hoo, apply the hidden thing you found on text.

    ReplyDelete
  152. got 21 letters not going anywhere...Omg almost 3 am now. I'll come back tomorrow. Hope to complete all tomorrow :)

    ReplyDelete
  153. Uno hoo - each set of numbers is used to pick one letter only. You'll end up with seven letters not 21.

    ReplyDelete
  154. For level 40 I have the hidden messages. I have found what is needed to turn good (three pairs) and have drawn lines but I still do not have the correct answer. Could someone give me a very big hint please.

    ReplyDelete
  155. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  156. On level40 you need 6 pairs.
Do you see the numbers of the colours?

    ReplyDelete
  157. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  158. stuck at 39...trying to find letters you can see upside-down without any luck. counting faded phrases or the White ones doesn't work the same.... by chance i got an egg, but not lvl 39b...

    ReplyDelete
  159. found 39b (it's very useful to start from the very beginning....)and two eggs, but how to arrange them altogether

    ReplyDelete
  160. on 36 now. Using a tool someone can't see. But what is a coma? ._ or _.? 6 letter word for granny?

    ReplyDelete
  161. Maremoto- you're very close. look at the text for each egg. Write it down. Notice which is 1st and 2nd.

    ReplyDelete
  162. level 40 If I go on paint and hover over the colours numbers show up on bottom of screen. Those are the only numbers that show up unless I am doing something wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  163. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Level 36 - Ignore any commas and don't overthink this level. Look at the title carefully and the punctuation only on the title. Then work separately with each line.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Level 40 - I couldn't get this one I my own. The numbers on Paint are coordinates that change as you move the cursor. To see what a color is made up of, use the pipette. Put the pipette on a color you want to examine, fill up the Color 1 box and then click Edit Colors on the left.

Very important - better to save the image and then copy saved png image to Paint than to just right click and paster

    ReplyDelete
  166. for level 40 I would say gimp is better than paint unless you have a colour picker in paint that gives RGB values

    ReplyDelete
  167. Correction - Level 39 - Notice the same four Roman numerals keep showing - only 4 - think what that could relate to on the 39B level. Then go to the 39B grid and start "picking" letters

    ReplyDelete
  168. Confused in 37. The 4 kids' answers cannot be found all in the picture and 5 candies can fit 2 or three pictures. Anymore things to do with the cartoon kids' names?

    ReplyDelete
  169. Level 37 - ignore the voices. Focus on the candy only

    ReplyDelete

  171. From 11/1/15 (comments 401-600) Good hints there for this level. Here's one of them:

"for 37 you need the whole name and amount of candies in each picture. The one that stumped me a little was the 4th one on the 3rd line. The name is two words. Also, the 3rd one on the 1st line has 2 words."

  179. level 40 again I have the RGB values of the colours and the value of the good one, what do I do next ?

  180. Uno hoo. Take the last letter of the answer for 38A then the letters below those letters for 38B. Do not read them in the same order but read across from left to right. The R is correct so you have DR then go across to the letter under the T. If you have marked all the letters you chose for the first part you should be able to find them easily. There are 4 words.

  181. Juliet, what would you need to add to those numbers to make them the word that was hidden. You will find those values will match up to another one. Draw a line and pick up what you need.

  183. Uno hoo. Make sure you RED it right. I mean read it. Remember that some letters can look like something else when looked at from a different direction
