    ReplyDelete
  9. @ Jorge matchbox is for 3x3 grid box in closet I had to do it a couple of times to get it to work

    ReplyDelete
  10. the math is using the numbers and symbols in the pamphlet that coordinate with the 3 numbers on the hippo...then plug them into the hippo in window.

    ReplyDelete

  17. I see cate. So in the pamphlet use the 3 page numbers found on the hippo behind the santa painting to do the math for the code. Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  18. 3# number under birds can be brute forced. Use plant# got first digit and candle# got last.

    ReplyDelete
  19. "look at knockers"....... LOL

    ReplyDelete
  20. the 3 number cabinet code comes from the three numbers on the misc. objects (plant, santa, candle holder)

    ReplyDelete
  21. Santas are also clue for middle painting

    ReplyDelete
  22. 3 number clue: 1st digit under 1st plant, 2nd digit in cooc closet after turning middle santa head, and 3rd digit on right candelabra.

    ReplyDelete

  30. I was feeling very clever -- solved all the puzzles, got the happy coin. But can't get out.
I've repeatedly tried using the )oo( clue on the (o) door knockers but nothing happens. Hoping for POP!

    ReplyDelete
  31. And POP -- look around the room again and checked the Mr. Birdie stand!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Right gift was the "Key to Happiness"

    ReplyDelete
  33. I can't believe it!
A Tesshi-e today - and - out with no help!!

However, it's not Tesshi's easiest - it was really tricky at times. (Needed some time until I found out about those knocking handles, respectively about those wooden doors having TWO views, top and bottom ...)

    ReplyDelete
  34. @GuruOne long time no see dude...

But yes, there *IS* a good reason why I clumsily call them "knocking handles": the second meaning, as you've perfectly pointed out.

However, afaik this is a typical UK/Aussie slang term; it's not used in the U.S.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I understand the 'cooc' clue but don't see how it opens the doors. Need a 4 digit code for one and although I've got 2 keys, neither seems to work on the middle door. Help!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Have used the 2 keys elsewhere now. Still don't know how to open the 2 doors though.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Never mind. Forgot I had the kettle on to boil. Making coffee and placing it gets you the 4 digit number for the door.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Out, but never used the cooc clue...

(and how did you know what order for the star/canle/santa numbers?)

    ReplyDelete
  39. I did not, just took the three numbers and scrambled 'em around until the thing opened :P

COOC clue is not for opening any of the three wooden doors; it's for opening the door at the opposite side of the room (with the metal stick and the "Santa dials")

    ReplyDelete
  40. That reads, hadn't you ever used the right sequence in knocking the circular handles at least once, the door with the COOC sign would remain closed for you.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Arrived late.... stuck with Santa sack and only 8 coins.....

    ReplyDelete
  42. @chris...let me see...8 coins...it's possible you've not yet twisted the metal plate you unscrewed from that vintage wooden table. There's some coin behind too ...

    oh and ...

  43. for order code numbers under mr Birdy
look at place where you can see hint numbers
    spoiler

    under Left plant ==> 4
on Middle head Santa ==> 3
on Right candle holder ==> 7

    give order LMR ==> 437

  44. Where to put that bag with presents or get key for middle door? I already have happy coin.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm still looking for the code hippo, but the numbers in the book no matter how I reckon not fit
still have keys and small bar

    ReplyDelete
  46. code for hippo missing, code-center for image, code for right door missing hab 4 coins already, no coffee, no fire? hmm irgentwie I am now .... for eg expected

    ReplyDelete
  47. @marita: there are 3 numbers on the hippo behind the painting. Those 3 numbers are pages in book, so use numbers and signs from those pages

    ReplyDelete

  48. Thank urban, am un continued but still no coffee has been found, but have pot cup filter and filter insert and made fire and also hot water, I still lack code for'm afraid door

    ReplyDelete
  49. I think coffee is behind one of the pictures, but I am not sure - one code is on oven and other is 3 santas heads (turn them until rotation stop)

    ReplyDelete
  50. middle image of the 3-digit code also is missing me, but have no evidence yet found for,, so 426 is for hippo 437 for drawer, but image? hmm

    ReplyDelete
  51. If you still haven't open the door in the corner, go to 3 doors scene and knock with knocker rightmiddlemiddleleft, than you can open the door in the middle

    ReplyDelete

  52. got coffee've done so far and 8 coins image and right door and get ne sack, but 2 coins are missing or?

    ReplyDelete
  53. bin raus freu danke euch urban

    ReplyDelete
  54. When you open the game, there is an English language option. I was able to read the hints.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I was stuck for a while because my teapot with hot water was open in my inventory. So I couldn't pour water on cofee. :-(
