  7. Chapter 33
The continuing saga of Jolly Boy and his two friends James and Janice.

James and Janice heard about Jolly being in trouble in the Strange Forest.
Carefully they enter the first scene.
A fog is hanging between the trees in the back, but four colourful birds are singing to attract their attention.
Two point to the left, two to the right. Janice climbs upon the chest and opens the safe in the tree.
“A key, James”, Janice looks around for more items.
“Help me please?” James tries to pull up the chest.
Together they put it in the inventory.

The Jambee on the right shows fox3. “Ah, that means there are more to find! Let’s move on, James!”
While Janice takes the blue key, James writes down fox1 and fox2.
“There’s a maple leaf here as well”. James picks it up.
“I know! It opens the door of the house, one moment!”
Janice runs back and returns with a scroll.
James looks around … where to use …. “Ah! on that tree up high.”
“An apple ?!?!” They cry out together.
“Look up, James, a number up there.”
“…. and we can use it on the tree as well, let me write down the roman numerals and where they point to.”
Oh yes, James is such a smart guy! he played all LinR-, Dutchie- and Small-Tool riddles there are.
(And others as well, but he can’t mention them all, can he?).

When they walk on they find another Jambee, with fox4.
“We have an apple, let’s take the banana’s as well”.
Yogi Bear is staring in the distance, no, he can’t help them with the frog-puzzle on the tree.
They walk into the fog and try to reason to open the safe. “Let’s put the big bird last, Janice, and in front of that .. the snake?”
“Yep, and then I guess the frog .. and the little guy that can be found in the grass.”
A pear drops in the inventory.

“We need a colour/letter clue, James, look up left!”
They walk on to the last scene.
    “JOLLY !!!” They scream out.
    “Pfflfflease, blubfffind zzzzze blropefffff!!!”
James runs to the board and sets the arrows as the starry-numbers show.
    The pine-apple is theirs!
Janice climbs up the tree. She clicks the coloured buttons. “James! Write it down please?
    Red … is … J, blue … is … L ….”
While Janice climbs down, James runs back to the puzzle and sets the word to get another key.

  8. Together they put the correct colours below green-red-pink-yellow on the tree.
“We have to connect the magnet to a rod or something..”, James frowns his forehead.
“What do we have left at this moment?”
“Ehm … the fox-numbers! We didn’t use those yet!”
James and Janice walk back to the first scene and climb up to the house on the left.
“Ah, a book, yes, that was still missing!”
They go to the tree where Jolly is and use the clue.
“Here’s the rod! Remember that hole in the ground, behind Yogi?”

Now it’s time to open the chest.
They find the last piece of fruit.
Janice climbs up a tree again and James throws her the pieces of fruit.
Janice throws down the rope and Jolly is pulled out of the water.

What a Jollyful ending of this adventure!

Janice takes back the pieces of fruit and then the three of them sit down
    They share the fruit.
“You know, Jolly, I didn’t know you couldn’t swim!”
    Janice is very surprised.
“It’s time to do something about that!”
They decide to start swimming-lessons the next episode.

And then it’s time to go home.
