  9. If I remember right.. Use the crank on the box on the table - you have to do it twice from black to white and then reverse. That gives you two cards. (One you need to dip in the soup). Put cards in the chairs and a door opens. Behind Alice figure is a cabinet with the candle

  10. Smashing, the candle comes from using the two cards from the cat box. Follow the hint in the book. The second card needs placing on the plate on the table for the pic to become visible. Place the cards in the red and white thrones, and the blue throne lifts up to reveal a little cupboard. The candle is in there.

  12. I did it several times... but didn't notice i had to read the hint from left to right and then from right to left... i was doing it twice from left to right... Thank you very much Janet and Clio

  28. wow, lovely lovely series this is.
    The mouse/cup/grapefruit was a bit distracting. It had nothing to do with those images, just the colour of the plates.
    It took me a while before I wanted to try that.
