Epresto Riddle of Doors

Epresto Riddle of Doors is another riddle game developed by Epresto. «When you think you have found the answer to a level, change the url by replacing the previous answer with the new answer. If the answer is right, you will get to the next level, otherwise you will get a page which says: <error 404> (that darn cat!!!). Most of the time, the clues you need will be in the picture or text in the level. Sometimes, there will be eggs or additional information to find in order to solve the level. And sometimes, Google will help. There are no hints in source or exif.» Good luck and have fun! [Created and submitted by Epresto]

Note: Please do not post direct answers - hints only - and start your hint with R# (Room Number) - thanks!

  1. Not making any headway with R6. I've seen the earlier hints about boy childs etc, but I can't make the connection :(

    ReplyDelete
  2. R6
Did you spot the word in first sentence that could have a double meaning? That should be a hint.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Righto, onto R7 which seems to be interesting!

    ReplyDelete
  4. R16... I've found the obvious egg, and see a there are a couple of missing parts. I'm not sure where to go, now? Could I get a hint, please :)

    ReplyDelete
  5. R16
    Perhaps some counting would help

    ReplyDelete
  6. Okay, got the egg on R7 and the counting seems straightforward. However, I can't get any sense from it just yet :(

    ReplyDelete
  7. R7
Would it help to know there can never be more than 2 leaves?

    ReplyDelete
  8. R10.
    Thanks mtatt :).
I finally checked the comments. You just keep on learning in riddles, don't you: googling them seperately, but not thinking about combining.

    ReplyDelete
  9. But I could use a little help on R.11 now.
I've googled Alice in Wonderland, and a famous British band, and the words in the last sentence, tried finding a poem etc. etc.
    A hint please?

    ReplyDelete
  10. No more than 2 leaves?

But there are loads of them!

Okay, I see that there's a bit more work to do lol

    ReplyDelete
  11. R11
Try finding what you can see (mouseover maybe)

    ReplyDelete
  12. R11... Use a keyword from the text to find an EGG :)

    ReplyDelete
  13. R7
lol, sorry Mackem, I meant per flower

    ReplyDelete
  14. R6 egg, was it it done in 'Paint'?

It looks like the spray can was used, is this significant? Or am I way off track?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Sorry, meant R7 egg in my previous post lol

    ReplyDelete
  16. Room 18, I am probably overthinking here. Found all eggs tried several things but can't find an answer. A little help please :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. R18 each egg has a couple pieces of information

    R7 spray can isn't significant

    ReplyDelete
  18. R7
Paint and spray can are not relevant (except to show my poor artistic talent lol).
There are two thing to count on each flower and each flower will give you a number. Some numbers have 1 digit, others have 2 digits.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Okay - re spray can.

Can you give me a starter for 10 then. Why are there only two leaves taken into account? There are many on each in the egg. I can see that there are some extra leaves dotted about, are they significant?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Ooh, I see your reply. Let me digest this and I'll get back to you. Soon I hope...

    ReplyDelete
  21. R7.
No Mackem, flowers have petals and leaves.

    ReplyDelete
  22. R11.
I hadn't noticed that. So, from now on every new room : Ctrl+A and mouse-over ....

    ReplyDelete
  23. R16
I've tried counting everything I can see?? Could I get another clue (if possible) ? :D

    ReplyDelete
  24. R16 Count the words, it will be a familiar number, then use the egg on it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. R16
By counting one thing, you should get a number which seems familiar (maybe think back to room 9)

    ReplyDelete
  26. ThankYou E Presto and dutchie :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Anxiously waiting for Mackem's light bulb to go on; I've been stuck in the exact same spot since last night =D
After counting the two things on each, they are added together? So 8 numbers in all? And what to do with it? So lost...

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm not a flower person I'm afraid. Somebody please help me to decipher R7 egg...

    ReplyDelete
  29. R7
For each flower, leaves will be 1st digit and petals will be 2nd. that gives you 8 numbers to convert.

    ReplyDelete
  30. R11.
Oooh I feel dumb here ....
I tried to count, then tried GI/Tineye.
What do I do with them?

    ReplyDelete
  31. R11
Find who they belong to. google should help

    ReplyDelete
  32. R11, you need the names of the animals.

    ReplyDelete
  33. R11.
    Thank you.
I can only find the last one. GI and Tineye fail here.
    But I'll try again.

    ReplyDelete
  34. For instance, the second one, GI shows me similar coffeecups LOL

    ReplyDelete
  35. I already tried two times Newbie, but I'll try a third time :). Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  36. R7, I have first letter as S and the third letter as R. Am I on the right road?

    ReplyDelete
  37. R11.
(I admit : after more blanks I cheated with the last letter in the crossword solver and trying).

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ah, my light came on! Thank you, E Presto; that did it. I forgot some of the basic riddle rules. How are you coming, Mackem? Count the things on the stems, then the things on the flower head. Your first one should be 1-9, the second one is a single digit (nothing on the stem).

    ReplyDelete
  39. Thanks arrie. Now I can hopefully move on, if I can decipher the rest lol

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yes Mackem! That's it =)

    ReplyDelete
  41. no mackem, your 5th is wrong.
It's an unknown word, just trust it, or google it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Ahh, it's a good English word. I did it as a Uni student using my mum, dad and fellow students!! lol

    ReplyDelete
  43. just trust it, I mean, your counting, even if you don't recognize it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. lol Mackem! Pleased you got it!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Done.

Now it's getting a little bit late and I have to go to work in the morning, so I'll come back to this tomorrow night.

    It's good fun, cheers EP.

I'm not familar with this show, but I have found an egg. Does the egg have something to do with the show? My first thought is some type of Rebus... but I'm not coming up with anything?

    ReplyDelete
  47. R17, The Newbie, yes both thoughts are good

    ReplyDelete
  48. R17
the shape on right is important, try to find a connection.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Time for bed...
I'll be back tomorrow evening (GMT +1)
    Good luck and happy solving!

    ReplyDelete
  50. R18
The eggs all seem to have hotspots descriptive of the cardigan. Any clues here? I've tried level numbers, hotspot words and level answers??

    ReplyDelete
  51. R18, The Newbie, each egg gives 2 important bits of info to use, don't forget to ask granny

    ReplyDelete
  52. I'm sorry, I can't solve R15 :( I read all the hints, see the first 5 letters + 1 extra in the pic + 3 more from url. I read use "one at a time". Is that the ones from url? How many letters for each Word? Feeling stuped.

    ReplyDelete
  53. R15 confused, is the url a word? try using what you see in the pic 1 at a time to make a real word by replacing a letter

    ReplyDelete
  54. R15 - use one of each letter from pic (5 letters) with url. The first letter is already used so substitute it second letter from pic... etc...

    ReplyDelete
  55. ah, ok ty donas, now it's a word to me. Ill keep trying.

    ReplyDelete
  56. R15
The third and fourth letters are wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  57. confused, your omelette is close, might want to delete so as not to spoil for others :)

    ReplyDelete
  58. R18
I'm having trouble finding 2 important bits from each egg. I've tried egg level number, hotspot word firsts, first from answers to each level, different types of counting ???

    ReplyDelete
  59. ty newbie! My mistake was i put the first one too in the omelette (aan). Now I waited for all the lights to go out (but i kind of already have an egg with all lights out. combining that one too gave me useless lanceheads lol). I guess i have to keep looking for lights.

    ReplyDelete
  60. R18, The Newbie, those first 2 ideas look good :)

    ReplyDelete
  61. I will go to bed. Can't find more eggs in R15 now, after c******. Will try tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  62. What does it mean by finding an egg? I'm trying to solve r3 and i'm not understanding by finding an "egg"

    ReplyDelete
  63. Jinx, an egg is a hint page, sometimes very helpful, sometimes not so much, you get them by trying words in the url

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm such a sciency person. Is the counting couplets going to come up with a number?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Jinx, not a number, listening is important

    ReplyDelete
  66. Jinx, sorry, counting will give a number for an egg, I didn't understand what you were asking, listening to the rhyme will give bits that sound alike, put those together for the answer

    ReplyDelete
  67. jennifer, there are many people to help. looking at the text from MP is the right way to go, find the scene where those questions are asked and do a little bit of reading, you should see where the old man is from :)

    ReplyDelete
  68. R 15 Don't use the first screen

    ReplyDelete
  69. R15, mtatt, when I use 3 different eggs I get a word to another egg-page, telling me "did you wait for all the lights to go out". I already saw all lights out on another egg-page, but i cant see how i get to the final answer. tried to use "all" like; ball, call... not working lol.

    ReplyDelete
  70. @ confused did you really see all lights out maybe you miss a couple of eggs more

    ReplyDelete
  71. mtatt, this is really hard for me. Yes, i have an egg with no lights on in the house. The text says "the lights went out". That is one of my first basic 4 eggs. From the first page I could use 4 of the 5 letters to make eggs.
Sure, i must miss more eggs, but how to find them if not from the 5 letters in first page?

    ReplyDelete
  72. @ Confused there are 2 more eggs keep going after lights out page

    ReplyDelete
  73. Finally R16! Thanks for all the help. That level was a bit strange to me, but i think im just not used to riddles like this. Thanks for your patience with me, and someone else could use the help from my questions lol

    ReplyDelete
  74. R19 Have egg but stuck with the key

    ReplyDelete
  75. R19 Mtatt, make a call, I'm sure you'll reach the number you want

    ReplyDelete
  76. Thanks Donas! :)
R19, I believe I know what to do. Is the key in french or english?

    ReplyDelete
  77. R19, Newbie. the key is French but not the answer :)

    ReplyDelete
  78. Thanks Donas.. that's what I was thinking :)

    ReplyDelete
  79. R19
I think I know how to input the answer, but am having trouble finding the right word. First thought: door, key, room or 20 ... with different french variations. Am I overthinking, here?

    ReplyDelete
  80. R3 there's not a rhyme in the first pair of sentences right?

    ReplyDelete
  81. Newbie, you are overthinking, read my comment to Mtatt100 again

    ReplyDelete
  82. Newbie the word to input in your phone is given text it to me then think how it could look

    ReplyDelete
  83. hello :).
    R15.
I have 6 eggs. The lights are sometimes far apart from each other. How do I read those? As if there are no spaces between them?

    ReplyDelete
  84. R6 - I've read hints but I still am not able to link any double meaning from any word in line 1 with the boy child. Can I have some help, please?

Also, thank you Epresto for this new riddle.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I you have a boy child puzzled, how do you introduce him to other people?

    ReplyDelete
  86. Thanks for your answer arrie, but I just don't know how I can introduce a boy child. Am I looking for a given tradition or celebration or legal requirement?

    ReplyDelete
  87. no no, another word for your own child. This is my ...

    ReplyDelete
  88. Puzzled, my daughter gave me THEanswer

    ReplyDelete
  89. That word fits the other descriptions. And then you need a particle (new word I learned) as well.

    ReplyDelete
  90. R15
You might feel like combining your eggs

    R6
Think of someone's child who is a boy, not a girl :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. R19
I believe I need a number? I've been trying to get one using keypad? Either I'm looking at wrong word or I have the wrong idea. Mtatt.. I think you are referring to the old method of texting with keypad?

    ReplyDelete
  92. R15.
What from the eggs should I combine with each other?

    ReplyDelete
  93. Well Puzzled, LOLOL, do you need help on R6?

    ReplyDelete
  94. Newbie, you need to do a bit of back and forth. Not really texting.

    ReplyDelete
  95. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  96. R18 five eggs, so ten letters?

    ReplyDelete
  97. Puzzled, you know the 3-letter word for the brother of your daughter. But, he's not as big as that light for which, in summertime you need dark glasses.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Puzzled, do you have any children? If so what is the boy?

    ReplyDelete
  99. arrie and Lin, thanks for your time. I think I know what you mean (5 letters?). I've tried that as the cursed little boy and also as the cursed light (just in case), but it is not working.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hi LinR...
    So, I believe I need a number for R19 ?

    ReplyDelete
  101. no Puzled, 6 letters. Look up into the sky on a summers day, "the ..." looks small but my, it's sooooo big !!

    ReplyDelete
  102. The Newbie: Not a number for R19 - you have a word, try using it to find another one.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Remember : it's the object itself + the particle. That makes it six letters.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Newbie, A number and a conversion.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Okay... I had somewhat the right idea... just the wrong conversion. Thanks everyone for help on R19 :)

    ReplyDelete
  106. I just cannot find the word, lol I feel sooooo dumb now lol. Thanks so much for your time and help arrie and Lin. I am leaving now, I need to rest :)

    ReplyDelete
  107. R6.
Puzzled : I weigh a lot, but I give a lot of light.
from the earth I look small, in the milkyway I am huge.
My name sounds a bit like the word for the brother of your daughter.
    What am I? 6 letters.

    ReplyDelete
  108. R6.
Puzzled : two words. I forgot to mention that.

    ReplyDelete
  109. R26
I have found an egg. Do I need more?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Puzzled if you want to click my avatar you can send me an email and I can help you out of your misery.

    ReplyDelete
  111. R26, yes Cee Bee, another egg to find

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'm back and stuck on R8. My eyes have got used to the blinding light and I can see some lines. Is it Be....z.?

    ReplyDelete
  113. R8.
    I couldn't see, I used my fingertips.

    R15.
    Still no idea :).

    ReplyDelete
  114. Ahh, I'm on my way. Too obvious really lol

    ReplyDelete
  115. I should add some thanks @arrie

    ReplyDelete
  116. oh ... was the hint too obvious? Sorry :)

    ReplyDelete
  117. R18,tried firsts of: level numbers, level answers, hotspots, next answers, previous answers, pls someone show me a way!

    ReplyDelete
  118. R18
    Some counting is needed.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Sofia, R18 you need to apply one thing from the egg to the word that got you there

    ReplyDelete
  120. R20
Solved the crossword and found egg. What the egg tells me to do, seems to make sense with the crossword grid. I'm not getting anything legible. Could I get a hint, please? :)

    ReplyDelete
  121. R20
Did you try different directions Newbie?

    ReplyDelete
  122. R15.
Do I need moren than 6 eggs?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Just got R9, but R10 looks a bit weird.

    ReplyDelete
  124. aaaaaaaand i think i'm done. i am still stuck on r3 and i am way too stupid for this

    ReplyDelete
  125. R15
Use only your eggs when combining.

    ReplyDelete
  126. R15.
Back to my original question then : what to combine?
I read it's per three? Is that a correct interpretation, because I'm in the middle of bruteforcing all possible combinations.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Jinx, you just need to get the hang of riddles. Just like escape games there are common "tricks" to use. We are happy to help if you want to keep playing, it's the only way to learn :)

    ReplyDelete
  128. Jinx, say the rhyming words out loud at the end of each couplet, first is promise/miss, common sound is "mis" do this for each couplet and then say all your sounds together as one word, don't worry about spelling, just sounds. Hope this helps :)

    ReplyDelete
  129. R15
Not sure I know what you mean Arrie (per three). I don't think you can bruteforce this one.

    ReplyDelete
  130. R9 - Goo goo g'joob

    Does this help me?

    ReplyDelete
  131. R15.
Confused : R15, mtatt, when I use 3 different eggs I get a word to another egg-page, telling me "....

After trying so much, I thought this was a valid idea. :)

    ReplyDelete
  132. Totally lost on R9. Have read all the clues that apply but it's going nowhere. Especially lost with the hint 'make a grid with your sums'... help please?

    ReplyDelete
  133. Mackem, if you mean R10, it should help give you an animal name

    ReplyDelete
  134. R10
Is that where the music stops Mackem?

    R15
Arrie, you have no use for the hint given by Confused

    ReplyDelete
  135. EP I understand now, confused found the way to get to the last eggs, thank you.
Back to my original question heheheh.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Lisa King, R9, each of the 4 sums will give a number, adding them together is the 5th sum, they total to 26. 26 should make you think of something. The first line of your grid will be the first 6 letters from that. The second line will be the next 6 and so on for the 3rd and 4th lines of your grid. The numbers on the right will be used to pick from your grid.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Thank you, Donas; that helps immensely! I had the 26 and had the alphabet, it was just how to set up the grid that had me.

    ReplyDelete
  138. @EP, yes. When the music ends the next lyric is the name of an animal - this does not work in the url.

    ReplyDelete
  139. R10
Mackem, there are 2 things in this level. Do you know who that 1st bit is? Use both bits of information together (google might help).

    ReplyDelete
  140. Mackem, R10, have another look at the text. Do you know something with "The (animal) and the ???"

    ReplyDelete
  141. Ahh, is this something to do with Charles Dodgson?

    ReplyDelete
  142. Got it, with thick butter lol

    ReplyDelete
  143. R15.
Solved, I did follow a course in painting some time ago, but will have to try it again. Crayon and paper worked perfectly here.
Thanks for trying to explain, lol!

    ReplyDelete
  144. Right, it's Friday night here, so we're going down the pub. I may or may not re-engage tonight. I highly doubt it, so leave me some starter crumbs for Room 11 :)

    ReplyDelete
  145. R20
I've tried applying the egg to the crossword in every direction imaginable :D I'm doing something wrong? Could I get another clue?

    ReplyDelete
  146. R20 Maybe you should just look it up and down in two tone

    ReplyDelete
  147. Congratulations @Lin! Great job!!

    ReplyDelete
  148. R16.
A not so simple as it looked one again!
I found the second page, I read the hints, I know you have to use the 2nd page on the string of letters. But I fail to see how.
    A hint please?

    ReplyDelete
  149. R16.
yes, I read the hints. I counted the first page.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Thank you Veri and Donas.

    ReplyDelete
  151. arrie, R16, not on a string of "letters" think bigger

    ReplyDelete
  152. R16.
The hints say you have to count the words, you get a familiar number. Think of room9.

    ReplyDelete
  153. R16
did you see some common things in the pages?

    ReplyDelete
  154. lol, I think I have to forget about all the hints given here already. They seem to only confuse me.

    ReplyDelete
  155. R16.
I noticed the position of the words of page2 in page1.

    ReplyDelete
  156. R16
    Did you talk to granny?

    ReplyDelete
  157. nope, now I did.
Apparently I can't interpret hints correctly. Sigh ...
I didn't think about finding those words on their positions.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Congratulations on being the first to finish Lin - well done indeed!! :D

    ReplyDelete
  159. Thanks Mtatt for clue on R20! :)
Now stuck on R22. I see hidden words in the scraps and have tried counting in each. This is giving me gibberish. Could I get a hint, please :D

    ReplyDelete
  160. good evening all, hope someone is still here to help me out... R15 I applied all letters found 6 eggs, 2 of them being lights out... but not sure what I am looking for in those to combine? and the ones that are spread out is there more than one letter per box? I am really confused on this one... have a stack of papers trying to figure it out but not getting anything logical

    ReplyDelete
  161. R15
Some of the boxes had two letters. I worked on one letter at a time by flipping through the pictures and drawing on a piece of paper. I had seven letters.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Newbie, don't count the little things. Count the things they make up.

    ReplyDelete
  163. got it finally, thank you Newbie I got it finally.. phew... onto R16

    ReplyDelete
  164. R16 got egg.... if I apply that hint to the first hint I am not getting a legit word.... if I change r to f I get l, and e to a I get d etc.... but not getting a word, am I on the right track or am I applying it in the wrong way?

    ReplyDelete
  165. will try again tomorrow with fresh eyes and brain hopefully something clicks

    ReplyDelete
  166. Congratulations to Mtatt for finishing!!!

    ReplyDelete
  167. R16
Robin, if you do some counting on main page, you'll know what each word represents. Apply that to egg and ask granny for help.

    ReplyDelete
  168. R12 help anyone? I've seen chatter about flags earlier which has me mystified.

    ReplyDelete
  169. R12 not flags this "time"

    ReplyDelete
  170. I think I get the idea. But when I convert them I get gibberish. Am I looking for a string of 9?

    ReplyDelete
  171. Sorry, that should be a string of 10.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Okay, I got it. It's a string of 6 lol

    ReplyDelete
  173. R22
Have found a word in each phrase and counted both little things and larger things they make up. Even with granny, I'm just getting gibberish? Could I get a clue, please? :)

    ReplyDelete
  174. Newbie, Just read those bigger things and google what is says.

    ReplyDelete
  175. ***** Almost 400 comments*** more comments will continue on the next page.

    ReplyDelete
  176. R22 use the words you found to get new words and google them together.

    ReplyDelete
  177. R22 google the wrods you found

    ReplyDelete
  178. R22
    Thank You Everyone :)

    ReplyDelete
  179. R6 - Thanks to Lin and Arrie, I can move forward now :)

    ReplyDelete
  180. Congrats Mtatt on finishing. Well done!

    ReplyDelete
  181. not sure why R16 has me so stumped, I applied the egg to the main page, get 5 letters from egg, just cant seem to dial it in from there. granny isn't helping, tried just changing reality but that didn't work either... what am I overlooking or overthinking?

  182. I see that the egg now reads "." is a "." but I guess I am not sure how to apply that, applied it to reality and visited granny that wasn't it, used it just as it reads with those 5 letters and granny didn't help tried the 31 she suggested and nothing, what am I missing?
