ReplyDeleteThe first obvious egg is telling you what you are looking for, but on the levgel they all miss a letter. There are 9 of them (with confirm. eggs).
@keeper, I tried to follow your hint for 42, but it gave me eight words, not seven. I am not sure which of them is wrong and also what letters to take from them.

I've seen lots of additional commonalities and tried them all (I've even tried "visible teeth" and many more....I've tried brute force too...shame). - it is chords you want
- make sure they're for piano
- m=minor M=major

ReplyDeleteIt's a bit of trial and error, but not that many, you can estimate what it has to be and of course only 26 bases to try and of course the first 3 or so not because of the used numbers.

aaaasa, thanks for the help, but I'm still stuck trying to find the third egg. I don't understand what you said. Finding those words and using ftf gave the first egg. Using ftf on the second component gives the second egg not the third. I'm sure I'm missing something simple.

ReplyDeleteI found the 1st egg by taking every other word from the text starting with the second word in the text and taking the first letters of those words.
I found the 2nd egg by using those same words and taking their second letters.

@cardinal, there should only be 1 possible letter for each one, but it may take some search to find it. Make sure you know what you enter, and what you're looking for. Then, you will know when you get it.

LisaK, If you go back to that level you can see that things can be paired up the way the egg described. Do that and then find the common thing in each pair.

ReplyDeleteCardinal, the letters on the pillar tells you what the bases are. They are the result of converting number 13 to the bases you need. For example, if the pillar has the letter J, you know the base is 13, because 13 in base 10 is 10 in base 13

ReplyDeleteStart with changing from decimal 13 on the left side. Put base 20 on the right side, and read your result on top right. It should be a D. Now, go on with the next base (8)... etc.
@Keeper, you are right about the p********* being important. You just need to find the right place to look at them. The green text is important as well. Do you remember those words from somewhere early in the riddle?

ReplyDelete@molly, do you know what kind of words those are? Google the word that gave you Egg2 and look for a list. You need to separate them into 2 parts. Then, you can apply the previous hints.
