Didn't like it because of those 999s, the puzzles were fine as always, but I've never understood, why in the world the game designers add such plain click collecting "puzzles" (those ain't puzzles, of course, just clicking spots). Does it really mean more money for the game developer, if the players make more clicks inside the game? Why those numbers have to be always 8s or 9s, not 1 or 2 or 3? It makes many games silly and tedious.

ReplyDeleteWell, back in the "old days", one could "brute force" a lot of puzzles by running numbers, letters, images, etc., in a sequential order of some sort until you hit the right combination, whether or not one had seen the clue before trying to solve.
Then the developers instituted in-game coding mechanics that would not allow a puzzle to be solved until the clue had been uncovered.
