Sorry. RLEW was stupid.
ReplyDeleteOh, no, no, no....How dense do you have to be to actually release a puzzle game with an obvious swastika in it? I doubt there was any intent...but the blindness is appalling.
ReplyDeleteIs there a swastika in the game?
ReplyDeleteA holy symbol in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism for centuries and hi-jacked by the nazi party.
ReplyDeleteIT IS NOT A SWASTIKA! @TiCKed - look it up and see the differences - Instead of having a fit of the vapours.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Every swastika I've ever seen associated with the Germans in WWII, the arms are always at an angle, not horizontal and vertical.
ReplyDeleteThe "Appalling Blindness" is apparently more widespread than I imagined. This is a game, intended in part for children. If you want to play historical games, an "what it used to mean", then that's your thing. If you want to claim a 45 degree rotation makes it OK, then that's your prerogative.
ReplyDeleteIf you think I'm "too sensitive", I would counter that you are not sensitive enough, and I still contend that it is absurd to put that in a GAME. I'm likely older than most of you, so maybe we just aren't teaching the lessons we should any longer, I don't know. I found it completely inappropriate, and your little digs haven't changed my mind.
Ask yourself this: Would you place this symbol (in any orientation), on the front door of your house? If the answer is "no", then it doesn't belong in a puzzle game either. Stop being an apologist.
