HomeGroanGames + Itch.io - Shelter from the Storm Escape is another point and click adventure escape game developed by Home Groan Games for Itch.io. In this Adventure Escape game, the rain lashes down, soaking you to the bone. You spot an old, dilapidated house looming in the distance - a beacon of shelter in the downpour. You knock loudly desperate to escape the rain. No answer. You try the handle, the door creeks opens. You play a curious wanderer who's stumbled into more than they've bargained for. Explore the forgotten corners of the once-grand house, now seemingly abandoned and shrouded in mystery. Find and make us of objects you find lying around, crack codes, solve puzzles and progress through the various rooms of the house while waiting out the storm. Good luck and have fun!

As there's no video WT (yet), here some hints (almost a WT 😉):

Double clicking: figure walks (a bit) faster
Funny descriptions. 😄
- URN in hallway
- CANDLE down hallway (collect 5 for pentagram that turned out to be a star with 8 points),
Chess Queen is missing,
- kitchen: ICE Cube from freezer (always close fridge door❗ 😜), CANDLE
- (looong) dining room: 3 first shapes in pics are hint for safe (then repeating pattern - mountain / pumpkin / house, sail boat / moon / gift, pyramid /wheel / cake, EiffelTower / billard ball / Rubiks Cube, vulcano / pie / squares - read also pic descriptions, esp the pie one 😉)
- bathroom: tub missing a tap
- living room: take CANDLE (other candle stand is bolted)
- hidden room behind bookshelf (only accessible with lighter from bedroom),
take BONE (for dog), shape puzzle safe, gives music SHEET
- music room: play piano with sheet
- bedroom: take CANDLE, LIGHTER, CROSS (after playing piano)
- attic: watch out - ghost❗ but it let you pass after collecting the stuff mentioned above (or mayhaps only cross works), draw star, place candles (missing 2)
but only go further to the chest when
- dog room: take CANDLE, give bone to dog (automatically), take chalk, melt ice cube for Chess QUEEN
- library: watch out - knight❗
- down hallway: place Queen (F7)
- down in unlocked room: SPANNER, (my last) CANDLE (in drawer)
- down cellar: exchange urn for BUCKET
- bedroom bathroom: use spanner to take TAP
- bathroom: attach tap, but now you can't turn the water off... message on the mirror (mayhaps only later)
- it's the hallway rug, get KEY
- library: useful bucket & funny book titles 😄, take BOOK (how to), CANDLE
- get rid of the ghost
- open chest for a very helpful tool for this stormy night 😉
Thanks dacapo! I couldn't find that last candle. Was sure I had clicked on those drawers and nothing happened.
